Our stay was extremly nice - we were happy with the room, pool, bar & spa! The staff was very attentive - always said hello and smiled - and they are always cleaning. The worst thing about the service is that they have no valet parking and when we arrived at 4:30 for checkin - no parking spaces were available at the hotel - we had to park across the busy street (I was not happy). The most important part is that the resort itself and the staff is nice. We have booked another room in 4 weeks and this time we plan on getting there a few minutes early and not eating at the hotel's cafe.

What a great hotel for the money! The room was huge, really clean and the plasma TV was a great perk. The other hotels in the area don't even come close. Will definatley go back!

I loved the Plaza Resort & Spa. The next time I'm in Daytona Beach, that's definitely where I will be staying. Everything was perfect except it seemed like they'd been working on the bathroom because there was a hole in the ceiling. Other than that, everything was perfect; especially the STAFF!

Room was not ready when arrived, however, we werea able to park and use amenities. Did not received requested room. The keys did not work and had to get maintnence to fix lock. The hotel computer systems were down and the restaurant was unable to charge to room or credit cards. Loved the location on the beach. Access blocked off to driving, which for our family was a plus. Nice to not deal with beach traffic. Rooms were nice, view was nice. I would stay in this hotel again. There is $9 a day parking fee for parking on lot, not really anywhere else to park. If in town for an event, there may not be any spaces left when you return.

I thought the hotel was great. Great location. Walking distance to lots. The only thing I ran into is I booked an oceanfront room, they did not have any oceanfront rooms available when I checked in. I spoke to the Manager and for the two nights I was in the ocenaVIEW room he refunded the difference. I would stay here again.

My family just returned from a 2 night stay at the Plaza. We arrived at the hotel after a long drive excited about checking into our ocean front room. We were informed that an ocean front room was not available. We were offered an ocean view room with the option of moving to an ocean front room the following night. After going back and forth for a while, we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite which was great. The lobby of the hotel is beautiful. There are marble floors with lots of mahogany wood accents. Room: The suite was well laid out with plenty of room to spare. There was a separate living room, dining room, and kitchen. The was a huge flat screen tv in the living. The dining room had a very nice table with 4 chairs, and the kitchen (although very small) had granite countertops and stainless appliances. The bathroom wasn't large, but functional. The bed was nice with extra pillows and upgraded linens. Pool/Beach: The pool area of the hotel is very large with an olympic sized pool. The are also an abundance of lounging chairs along with tables/chair/umbrellas. As you leave the pool area, you walk down some stairs, and you are on the beach. The beach was great, not much to say here...its Daytona. The hotel is also very close to the boardwalk (10 minute walk). Food: We only ate at the outdoor pool bar, and to food was really good and reasonable. There are quite a few restuarants in walking or diving distance from the hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The hotel has been recently renovated and is now in quite good shape. Would now consider it one of the few luxury hotels in the area. The room (ocean front) was spacious and the accomodations were quite nice. Even had a 42" plasma in the room! Very nice wet bar area. The only downside was the bathroom - although nice, it is a bit small and meant for only one person at a time.

The Plaza Resort & Spa was really nice. They did a good job on the renovations, and the plasma TV won over my boyfriend. The prices of the food at the pool/snack bar are not bad at all. Check in / check out was fast and easy. The room was clean, comfortable and had a great view. Only complaint for the room is our shower head was only about 4ft. tall so you had to get low to wash you hair. Overall is was a very nice hotel and friendly staff.

The hotel itself is lovely and has a lot to offer including a huge swimming pool, beach access, and a full-service spa. The problems we had involved the hotel maintenance. Upon arrival our room was missing a remote control and an ammenities book. There was a screw missing from the door which did not allow it to lock properly. We had to call the front desk three times in one evening. Our shower was not draining properly and it finally backed up completely. These are things that need to be checked before guests arrive.

we stayed one night during Bike Week. The noise of the bikes outside did not bother us, but the slamming of the doors on the floor we stayed on was horrible. in order to close your door, you had to slam it and we were woken up allllll morning by slamming doors. they also did not pick up our breakfast order, so we missed out on the breakfast in bed that we were planning. we also got "locked" out on our balcony when we closed the door behind us. it was funny, but we imagine it could be dangerous if it happened to someone's kids or something. the employee that let us back into our room said that the doors just get stuck sometimes. we were impressed with the hotel's location and quality. it is a condo hotel which is happening everywhere.

I would recommend the hotel. But, depending on what you are after, and whom you are travelling with, my recommendation may be different. Although I have stayed at a lot of hotels that were not as good as the Plaza Resort, I have equally stayed at ones that I was more impressed with. With the exception of the BellBoys the staff did not seem very excited to be there. My Wife and I did not have a sense of security while there.

This hotel was more than I expected. The staff was courteous, and helpful. An excellent pool on the ocean made for great sun and fun. The hotel was within walking distance of the Daytona Beach Boardwalk and numerous tourist type stores. Located within walking distance of many restuarants, and of course the beautiful Daytona Beach.

Had a ahrd time opening the door to the balcony. it was sticking and heavy and i thought it was locked because it was so hard to open. also went to the pool for a drink and to listen to the music about 8:15 pm. there wasn't any music and the bar was closed. this ruined our evening plans.

From judging the other places at Daytona, this is nicest place on the beach. Oceanfront rooms are large. Good views. Warm pool. On beach, with no car traffic allowed on the beach in front of hotel, which is nice. Cleaning staff friendly also. I am on the road over 150 nights a year, and I wish that I stayed at places like this every night. Who goes to Daytona to watch movies in their room?

Considering the recent huricane damage to the area, it was very nice. They need to maintain the area a bit better, i.e. have someone picking up litter and trash. (Someone stepped on a ketchup packet and it squirted all over the pool deck. It was there for several hours and was still there when we left.) There was black goo on the steps going from the property to the beach. It was great that there was no driving on the beach in front of the hotel. Inside the facilities was in very good shape. Parking leaves a bit to be desired as there seemed to be a shortage of spaces. Overall, though, we were very pleased. The slightly negative comments are for constructive purposes only.

The room was as expected. Nice clean rooms. The hotel was really nice. And big too! Even though we only stayed one night (wanted to stay 2 but was too late with reservations) and it rained that night my husband and 2 adult kids had a good time.Of course we spent the night at the bar in the hotel! Not something we (my husband and I) do that often. But we try to go to Daytona every Thanksgiving for the Turkey Run at the Speedway. We love going there! The only bad thing I have to say, is the bartender, which was a very young girl, was not very friendly at all.Maybe I am just use to small local bars. (When we were younger of course) But my two boys thought she was cute and did not care. Typical...
