Booked a queen bed room, cozy and clean but small. A block to metro station and main street (Rue St. Catherin), several restaurents and supermarkets around. Recommended. Indoor parking is CAD$18 for 24 hrs stay (not included in package).

Good quality hotel for the price, convenient to metro and bus. Staff was friendly and helpful - only negative was the buffet breakfast which was expensive and not good.

Good hotel to stay at. Great location in downtown. Exterior could use some improvement, but the interior is fine. The only problem I had was the parking garage is small and a little hard to get around in, but I had a small car and had no problems. And although is may seem silly, I could not get a drink from any of the soda machine on any of the floors, had to go the gift shop downstairs. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would definately stay again.

The rooms were okay...but the maintance was not at all star rated. The towels were way too rough and the maids never really cleaned the room. It looked like she just pulled the sheets up and left everything else exactly the way it was. Also if you go in the summer don't expect air conditioning to be the best...it wasn't. I had to change rooms and they offered to bring me a fan of all things! Definitely not worth the money.

This is just an average hotel. Unlike it said it is not located "just steps away from the main attractions". Room was not very clean and was very small.

Very clean and comfortable rooms, very reasonalbly priced. Hotel is just off Rue St. Catherine very close to the center of the downtown area. Very easy walking access to most downtown sights. Parking in underground garage (very tight parking accomadations). All in all, a very nice hotel. Beds are very firm and bed linens are top notch. Conceirge among the best I have ever dealt with.

The hotel looks nothing like it does in the picture on the internet, but the rooms are comfortable, clean and nice. The one disturbing part of the room though was that when we were sleeping at 9 AM one morning, a maid let herself into the room with her key and did not understand english as we tried to explain that we were still sleeping, and to please come back later. Besides this one incident, the hotel was a good deal though. It is also in a very central location, close to St. Catherine's street, etc.

From the outside and by the looks of the lobby I thought we mad a huge mistake booking the Maritime hotel but thank goodness I was wrong. Our room was just like it appeared on the hotel website. Huge comfy bed with down pillows and comforter. Full size toiletries that were replenished each day. The room was immaculate. The hotel is located in a great area downtown, all the major attractions were in walking distance. We were very satisfied with our stay at the Maritime!

I would not recommend staying here. First off our room was not ready, we arrived at 3:00 PM. Many other people where waiting also. The parking garage below, watch out you are in for a let down. Parking is big business in Montreal, we where told. If you think it's free, think again. Also don't leave your key, I saw an attendent move a car out of the way. Lucky it didn't hit the wall. I'm glad I didn't leave my key. If you do stay, I wish you luck. Remember, you get what you pay for...

I stayed at the Maritime Plaza with a friend on a recent leisure trip to Montreal. The information on Expedia.com made the hotel appear crisp, clean, and attractive. All assumptions were correct. The lobby and portico is well done as well is the restaurant design. However, the language barrier became overly problematic at times; having traveled in foreign countries before, I expected better English speakers at times. I did not understand the difficulty of ordering "chicken nuggets, strips, or fingers." Once arrviving, the food was pretty typical, not that great but not that bad. As for the room and other amenities, I was pretty unimpressed. I had expected more and it failed to meet my expectations. I may encourage single business travelers to stay here but definately not families. I didn't think it had a friendly atmosphere. Three out of five stars would be very generous of me.

The rooms in this hotel are extremely small for the price paid, but were not too much of a problem for a single night. There is a bar downstairs and the hotel itself is close to everything Montreal has to offer.

The Maritime Plaza has awesome rooms. Large comfortable beds. Very clean and attractive bathrooms and good services. The restaurant in the hotel has poor quality food and is expensive and the bar is always empty which are the only two negative aspects.

The hotel is in dire need of a remodel. I would say it is somewhat run down. The front desk help was a bit unruly and did not seem to understand that we needed help with bags at 2:00 AM when we arrived. My girlfriend speaks fluent French so that was not the issue. They just really didn't care. At 3:00 AM I called the front desk to get the room next to me to quiet down and they had difficulty making it happen.
