| The exterior and lobby were in good condition and welcoming, but the halls and room were another story. Among the problems: - bulges in the hallway carpet - carpet in the room had 3(!) burns from a hot iron being left flat on the floor - TV reception was terrible - the floor reading lamp and bedside lamp weren't plugged in and had to move furniture to find a free working outlet - the "Fan Only" position on the AC didn't work - bedspreads were threadbare On the positive side the room was clean and the staff was courteous. Overall I would not recommend this hotel.

| Initial check-in experience was good but it went downhill from there. Two elevators for 17 floors is not enough. Terrible wait times. Room is not set up for business. Had to drag cords all over room to get computer hooked up at desk. Never did get internet service. They have terrible provider. The hotel staff was not helpful at all.

| There were a lot of choices for hotels around the Mall of America and I am happy I chose this La Quinta. Lobby was nice and rooms were pretty good too. It also had a pool, hot tub, and sauna, although small, was more than I had expected. Free continental breakfast was good too. Very Good value for the price.

| They have had nothing but trouble with their high speed internet service. At best, it was worse than dialup.

| If I ever go back to Minneapolis, I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It was only about 10 minutes away from the airport, and about 20 minutes away from downtown. The rooms were nice and the staff was friendly. Overall, it was a good place to stay, especially for business travel.

| Hotel just changed franchise between time we reserved and arrived. We received advance notification of the change. Staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful, but several were new to city and could not give directions. I would stay there again. Bed was extremely hard.

| This company has just taken charge of the hotel and they are making huge efforts to improve the quality of a guest's stay. Their staff are very curteous and hard-working, and they will work to correct anything that needs fixing. But when I was there, the desk was always busy because they needed another person at the desk. The continental breakfast changed while I was there. The eggs went from boiled but shelled to just boiled. The waffles were good, and it was easy to get them off the waffle iron. The cold stuff was cold, hot was hot. The night I checked in, I couldn't get an outside line. The phone was repaired by morning, but that was an inconvenience. My room overlooked a huge dumpster, they were throwing out old china, furniture, linens. I wondered why they couldn't donate some of the things to charity and I found the noise distracting. I had come to study. When I checked in the desk chair needed upholstery repair. With everything else needing changes, I decided to get out my sewing kit. I fixed the chair's upholstery. I needed to study and not wait for someone to come fix it. The restaurant was closed, the nearest other restaurant was about a block away. Overall, the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff went a long way to make for a pleasant stay, but there is a lot to be repaiered. So go with caution.

| I have stayed here a few times thinking it was a 3 star hotel and would be nice, only to be disappointed each time. They are now remodeling so hopefully it will get better, but I would not stay there again until it is complete. Service has been okay to good.

| For a price in the bargain range, this hotel was most satisfactory. The room was large, comfortable and well appointed. Room amenities included free wireless broadband, refrigerator, and microwave in addition to all you expect in a modern hotel. I don't use hotel pools, exercise rooms, or restaurants, so I can't comment on these. I also don't make much in the way of demands on staff, but the front desk was certainly helpful, cheerful, and efficient. The hotel now does provide a free hot breakfast (eggs, potatoes, and bacon) which is quite good by hotel standards. But do be aware that the only option to this is one type of cold cereal - no breads, fruit, yogurt or the like. It this were a more expensive hotel, you would say the furniture and carpets were ready to be replaced, but they weren't bad and I found the bed extremely comfortable. This is definitely the best bargain-rate hotel I have found in the Minneapolis area.
