| This is my first time stay in hotel in Las Vegas that is not in strip. Before I booked this hotel I have done a little research, I read from the comments from other traveller and it seems to me that this hotel is not too bad, but the truth was it really disappointed me. This is too far away from the strip and also convention centre. I am sure that this is more than 3 miles from the hotel to convention centre, from the hotel the airport it is really really far! And the service in the hotel is really bad! The front desk staff performed very poor manner to me it made me feel like I am begging for his service. Room wasn't that clean, I found louse in the bed. And the air con was very old and noise, I really drove me crazy at night! When I check out, they put my expenses into my credit without asking me, I was supposed to pay by cash, ain't they supposed to ask before they take action? I am sure I should have a choice! I won't recommend any of my friend or co worker to stay in this hotel and also I will never go there again!

| Besides the long check-in and check-out lines we were very satisfied with our stay in GN. The room was very clean, the air in the room was fresh (we're non-smokers) and the staff friendly. Our valet parking worked very well. We also enjoyed the Buffet at lunch time and the Chinese restaurant for dinner. The latest was quite pricey and the food only average and uninspired, unfortunately. The atmosphere in the casino was vivid and after reading the feedbacks of other travellers we expected to have somehow older people, but there were a lot of mid-30 people around as well (Friday night). The only disatvantage is, that the hotel is quite far away from the Strip. The distance is too far and to unpleasant to walk.

| This was the first time we had stayed downtown in Vegas and I was expecting the hotel to be dingy, but it was actually very nice. Would most likely stay there again, even though the strip has a much better atmosphere. (As far as Vegas goes anyway). The only complaint I have is everytime we left the room they tried to sell us a time share. !!!!YIKES!!!! People pay to stay there, they should not be schmoozed everytime they get off the elevator. That is why they did not get a 5 in customer service, however it was not bad enough to disregard this hotel for that reason.

| We have always stayed on the strip and were a bit nervous about staying downtown, but now we won't stay anywhere but the Golden Nugget. We asked for an upgrade to a suite and through working some magic we got it. It was incredible and it made it hard to even want to leave the room. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed the nightlife on Fremont street and also enjoyed the small town nature of other nearby casinos. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

| My wife and I could not possibly ask for more. The service was excellent along with the food and comfort and cleanliness of our room. The Fremont experience was also a memorable one. Talk about letting your hair down and letting the good times roll. We even traveled to the Strip to different hotels and casinos and couldnt wait to return to the Nugget. We were surprised to pay so little for so much. Already making plans to return in October. An absolute must.

| We've stayed here many times over the years, and our most recent visit (6/05) left us asking "what heppened?" The service is simply terrible, and management could care less. Example 1: No member of the wait staff even noticed us after we were seated in the cafe. When we informed the manager on duty, the response was a dismissive "sorry," and nothing else! Example 2: The bell desk lost our luggage upon check-in, and we were left in our room literally without anything until I went down myself to search for (and luckily find) the luggage. The response? The bell desk supervisor blamed the check-in clerk in a classic "pass-the-buck" excuse. The room was decent, but the air conditioner could not keep up with the Vegas heat, so it was often warm in the room (NOT what you want in the desert). The room also smelled stuffy, as though fresh air had arrived in months. Overall, I'm guessing two recent sales of this classic property have poisoned the employees' attitudes, judging from the "I-could-care-less" approach. Too bad...we cannot recommend the Nugget any longer.

| We chose the Golden Nugget based on the reviews we read from Expedia Travelers and we weren't not disappointed. The place was clean and when we had some problem with the toilet at 2:00 o'clock in the morning, the maintenance person was there right away to fix it. Every day when we came back to our room, it's always "spic and span". It will be a pleasure to recommend Golden Nugget to our friends.

| For someone who usually stays on the strip, the Nugget changed my opinion completely. The hotel's overhaul definitely made a difference in the hotel's experience. Great staff, very polite and helpful. Only drawback, the AC in my room on the last day of my stay (stayed 3 nights) seemed a little overworked. I told the front desk, and they came and worked on it. Still had some problems, but kept the room fairly cool in the early morning. Would I stay here again? Definitely! I felt very secure here.

| My husband and I celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary with my daughter and son-in-law. We were worried about a hotel located away from the strip, but it is only a 15 minute drive. It's a lot easier than the bigger hotels on the strip to get in and out of parking garage and less noise in the hotel room. Our room service requests for additional towels was handled quickly.

| We had a excellent stay to this hotel. The room we stayed in was well kept and the staff met all of our request. The food served at the hotel is pretty good but has the price tag to go with it. Axcess to the rooms is secure to keep unwanted visitors from roaming the hallways. If staying in the downtown area this is the place to stay without question.

| This was our second trip to Vegas and we had wanted to stay downtown to get the whole "Fremont Street Experience". The Golden Nugget was clean but that was about where it ended. The service was terrible. Not just in the hotel-the pool, the restaurants, etc. We waited over an hour to try and get a drink by the pool and were told to go to the bar ourselves. When we complained to management-they apologized. period. They not only gave bad service but did it with a bad attitude. Would never go back - this is hardly a four star hotel. I think the rating needs to be changed...

| This is the best hotel in the downtown area. It is not a strip resort so don't expect that. It was a good hotel, well kept with a nice casino right in the middle of the downtown action. If your main reason for going to Las Vegas is to gamble and you want to stay at a nice hotel, this is it.

The staff was great, housekeeping checked to see if we were satisfied and the room was very clean. The food at the Cafe was reasonable and very good. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there and all meals were great and the service was outstanding. Checking in and out was very fast. The only thing we didn't like was trying to sell timeshare property in the lobby. Would recommed this hotel for a great downtown experience.

My husband is well over 6' and a double bed just doesn't cut it, hoever, that was all they had left when we arrived. We were able to switch the next day but I like to get settled in and not have to worry with swithcing rooms during a vaction. Other than that the entire stay was great!

| My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent four night stay at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino. Prioritiy number one for us is the security personnel stationed at the entrance to the guest room elevators. Before making hotel reservations for our recent vacation....we questioned other hotels in Las Vegas as to whether or not they had security personnel stationed at the guest room elevators. The Golden Nugget was the only one who answered positively. We had stayed at the Golden Nugget a year ago and really felt safe with the personnel stationed at the guest room elevators. That is a feature we look for whenever staying at a hotel/casino in Nevada. The Front Desk service was impeccable. Also..it was really great to receive a coupon book with great restaurant discounts. We also received comps for our meals due to playing with our rewards club card. We plan to return to Las Vegas next year. Our hotel of choice is the Golden Nugget.

The room was very comfortable although I must admit, didn't spend much time there (only to sleep some each night) I'd recommend this hotel & casino to all. I'll be returning ASAP. I did not have to ask.We booked the spa as we usual do. I was amazed at the condition of the area. Three years ago, you were treated like queens with fruit drinks, plush spa robes and slippers. This year, the robes are not spa robes, and in fact my robe had holes in the bottom of it. While the massage and facialwas great, the atmosphere and treatment leading up to the services were very disappointing. The morning after we checked in, I went to take a shower only to find that the bathroom had not been stocked with any shampoo, etc...
