I was just there last week. I have been to Sam's Town before for the Firelight buffet. I wondered how the condition and cleanliness of the rooms would be, and was pleasantly suprized. Don't expect glitz and glamour at this hotel. The rooms are spacious, fairly clean, and comfortable. The hotel is off the strip but they do run shuttles to that side of town if you decide not to rent a car or take public transportation. I would stay there again.

The staff was friendly and helpful, room and bathroom was clean. We had a great view of the atrium. The hotel is not too big, and not too small. It is just a couple of steps from the parking lot to your room, but big enough to offer amenities that a larger hotel would offer. We loved the fountain/laser show. The Buffet was great and very reasonably priced. Driving to the strip, and downtown was easy - if you stay off Las Vegas Blvd.

The one negative about this place is that it is a few miles away from the strip. To be honest that is the only negative. The service was great. My room was clean. The slots were "loose" and the morning steak and egg special was super. I probably will end up staying here again!

Beautiful, affordable, definitely worth your money. It was our first time in Las Vegas, and we were in shock of this beauty! Hotel is so clean, everybody is so friendly and wants to help you and to give you the right advise! My children going this winter, its amazing place and very affordable. The only thing was really hot, we went in July, i guess best time to go is october or winter time since there's a summer there. Definitely coming back one day!!!!!

I was very pleased with Sam's Town. I had the advantage of having a car being that the hotel is off the strip by about 6 miles, but the hotel itself was very nice and worth the money. The front desk staff was extremely helpful, everything was new, and Billy Bob's Steakhouse had delicious food. I liked the fact that you could adjust the room temperature with a digital thermostat.

This was my first trip to Las Vegas and we wanted to stay someplace inexpensive but comfortable. Sam's Town filled both of those criteria. Due to problems on the trip, we spent much of our time in the room. It was clean and comfortable and the late check out option very helpful. The onsite restaurants and ammenities were a real bonus.

We needed a hotel off-strip and this one was great! Very nice inside and out. Rooms were very clean and customer service was wonderful. We called housekeeping for extra pillows and they were up to our room within 5 minutes. Had 2 kids there also and they enjoyed the hotel's laser show. Food was good for the price and they even had kid-friendly places to eat like McDonalds and pizza. Hotel has bowling alley and movie theatre also. Floor plan is great--you won't get lost like you do in some larger hotels.

The motel was very clean and well taken care of. It has a fun western atmosphere. Our room overlooked the garden and we were able to watch the cool laser light show right from our window. I liked that it was a little off the strip, but we could access the convention center easily.

We were quite happy over all with our stay. The room was smallish but clean and well appointed (A coffee maker would have been nice though). All of the hotel staff we encountered were very helpful. The buffet and coffee shops were great, and the prices were very reasonable. The casino was not huge, but there is a wide variety of slots (we don't play table games) and we did QUITE WELL on them. The only complaint I would have is that the waitresses in the casino were pretty stuffy, and you had better be prepared to stay in one spot for some time to wait on a cocktail. We do tip nicely, so that wasn't the issue! Overall we would recomend this hotel to anyone who wants the fun of Vegas without the huge crowds. The majority of the patrons there were our age and up(we're 40ish). there were none of the loud groups of "kids" you encounter at some places. The shuttles to the strip were a nice convienience, They don't run late enough, and don't get on one if you are in a hurry...but hey, they're free more than fine for most times. Overall....great rates, great food, great slots, just a little off the beaten path. We'll go back!

Sam's Town was one of the only hotels that had any rooms on a recent trip to Las Vegas. The rooms were clean and service was good; the staff was patient with us as we tried to locate our missing luggage. Gaming was great at Sam's Town and the price for the room was good. There was plenty to do there (movie theater, bowling, arcade, gambling), the Harvest Fresh Cafe served great steak and eggs for only $3.99 (WOW!), and the Ethel M Chocolate Shop freely offered complimentary samples. The only drawback was the hotel's location - without a rental car, you will be frustrated in getting to the strip or downtown.

The hotel is clean and well kept. The restaurants were very good for the cost. It is a long way from the strip, about 6 miles. We rented a car and saved money overall by staying here. Really enjoyed the $3.99 Steak and eggs, and the champagne brunch where the waitress kept all the drinks flowing including the champagne, and the selection of foods was outstanding.

This hotel and experience is great. Even though the hotel is alittle far away from the action (approx. 7 miles from downtown and strip), I would choose to stay there vs. staying at a hotel on the strip. There are great restaurants, casinos, and taverns right in the hotel. Not to mention a mini food court with McDonalds, Sbaro's Pizza and Panda Express. The hotel staff was very curtious and our room was always very clean when we can back.

Sam's Town is nice hotel with a lot amenities, to include a bowling alley and movie theater. They also provide shuttle services to and from the strip. They have several restaurants to choose from. The hotel was very clean and pleasant.

We've stayed at Sam's Town many times and generally find the accomodations, restaurants, and service to be first rate. The players' club system is not the best in town and takes a lot of play to make the points worth anything. The only negative we've found has occurred since Sam's Town opened their movie theater complex. On Fridays and Saturday nights the place is over-run with kids and they look like the type of kids that would be found in the lower class sections of town. It made me and my wife more than a little uncomfortable in the casino with these rough looking people running through the place on the weekend. Other than that we have no complaints.

the price was right and the rooms were clean and comfortable. But during most of the night the non-smoking room smelled of someone smoking brought in through the ventalation system. I'm not to picky about such things, but even I had a hard time breathing because the smoke was so thick.
