Needs an upgrade; neighborhood is not very good (next door to the downtown Greyhound terminal); room caretakers are not thorough...dirty bathroom; noisy; little ability to control room temperature

We stayed there because of the location - one block from the Orpheum Theatre which we were seeing a concert at. I would not recommend it! It is obviously an older building, but the deficiencies in the building itself could have been offset by having good customer service ... and they did NOT have that. The lack of a place to eat was really a hassle, and the selection of places to order delivery from were mostly pizza joints. My biggest gripe, which may seem small to some, is the fact that they don't offer a map of the downtown area to their customers. Nothing. Since they don't have a restaurant, you have to ask for advice and directions on where to go. A simple map of the area would be nice. We got NO sleep our second night there - people running and screaming down the halls all night. There is no insulation from sound - you hear every door slamming on your floor. Ice machine wasn't working on our floor either.

This is an older downtown motel. It's condition shows it. It has secure free parking.

Clean hotel - can't beat the price. Close enough to the light rail to walk if you don't have a lot of luggage. Big enough rooms and nice lobby.

Cleanliness of room was very substandard. The thermostat fo the Air conditioner was not working. Hotel staff was very pleaseant but continued to amaze me by making errors such as issuing my room to another guest 1 day after I checked-in. This guest proceeded to be issued a room key and entered my room while I was there. The clerk apologozied and assured me that the problem had been corrected and my belongings were safe. I returned from dinner to find that my room key no longer worked either without any notice from hotel staff.

Although the hotel was clean enough and provided all the necessities, the smell of smoke permeated both smoking and non-smoking rooms. This hotel is ideal for smokers, but anyone with a lung condition or allergies to smoke should look elsewhere.

Overall it is a nice place to stay. It's centrally located for such a great price. Only thing I'd complain about is that the air control didn't work in the room, so it was pretty warm and there was nothing we could do about it.
