| On northern part of island where all restaurants and taverns are. South side is primarily residential. Wife and I are older. Would recommend to 25 and under, or anyone who doesn't mind being near the kids. Not for children, however a playground on premises.

| It was amazing to be paying top dollar for filth and noise. If you're on Spring Break, the place might suit since there was live, loud entertainment until 2 a.m. including drunken brawls on the beach, language impaired revellers. The view from the balcony was beautiful and the top floor restaurant with glider tables overlooking the Gulf of Mexico provided some redemption. I would recommend it for wealthy college students on a drunk with good immune systems who don't care if the environment is sanitary at all.

| If you like to dance the night away on the white sand This is the place for you. They have live music on the weekends till 2 am. If you like to turn in early on the weekends not a good place. You can hear the music on the 5th floor. All rooms face the gulf. You can see dolphins from your room if you look.

| While I will agree with most posts that this place is not in the best repair, our room was clean, sheets and towels were changed daily and the staff could not have been friendlier. Its hard to beat the views and the location could not be better. If you insist on pampering and someone at your beck and call, skip the Lani Kai but otherwise, quit your belly aching and simply enjoy yourself-isnt that what a vacation is about?

| Went to Ft. Myers Beach with my teenage daughters. Loved the Lani Kai location--all rooms have balcony's overlooking the Gulf! Lots of activity, music all day and night, DJ on the beach, limbo contest, etc. Pool warm and spotless; beach area cleaned daily, lobbys always sandy & elevator TOO slow (we walked); located in the heart of beach shopping, etc. Excellent trip!

| Booked at the last minute not realizing it was spring break. Definitely not a family hotel, but it was entertaining. Not for the faint of heart!

| I would not recommend this hotel for your stays: the noise level is unacceptable, the hot water is NOT, the dining facilities are not operational, the cleanliness leaves much to be desired.

| The place was noisey, not kept up well at all and too pricey for what we got-or shall I say didn't get.

| Great views, but exposure to loud music until late and sand blowers early, not a good combination if you just want to relax. Probably a great place for younger adults who like to party.

| This place was just terrible. It's crumbling and dirty, lots of bugs (ants and roaches), the staff is obnoxiuos and there are thieves. I know that sounds terrible, but it was! STAY AWAY!!Ft Myers Beach is really a nice place and there are plenty of other places to stay.

| This is not a "family resort." It's more like the place you went when you were in college on spring break. It is a bar with hotel rooms. It was so loud in our room that we couldn't sleep until the bar closed at 2 am. The rooms have not been well kept, one elevator doesn't work and clearly hasn't for quite some time, and the hotel is generally in very poor condition. The service matches the very cheesy decor. I do NOT recommend that anyone stay there, particularly if you are in need of any type of rest.
