| While this Hotel is nothing special it is located near the heart of downtown Charleston. Quite, clean, plenty of hot water and a good price exactly what I was looking for.

| This is a nice hotel conveniently located in downtown Charleston. Shops and restaurants are easily in walking distance. Only problem was the rooms temperature. It was about 100 degrees which made it hard to sleep. We opened a window to cool it down but then had to listen to the passing traffic. Having said that it was a small price to pay considering everything else.

| For starters our room was not clean. When turning down the bed the sheets were dirty (makeup & blood) and appeared not to have been changed. It took 25 mins for someone to bring new ones. The room was also hot so we opened a window to let in cooler air only to be awakened by hotel staff making numerous trips to dump glass bottles into the trash late at night. On day two the room temperature was unbearable so I called the front desk to have someone come up. It took two calls and 40 mins for someone to come and adjust the system which did absolutely no good. At 12:30 am we had to ask for a fan just to be able to sleep. The only good thing was the free parking and the location!

| We treated our adult children to a weekend here. Rooms were more than adequate (esp. for a Best Western). Ceramic mugs; glass tumblers; no crummy disposables. Lobby bar was lovely, cozy, bargain-priced; barkeeper was truly gracious. Breakfast buffet was top quality and only $8.95. We've stayed in Charleston many times, sometimes at high-end lodgings; never had a better experience. Rooms are well-insulated, very quiet. Location on Meeting STreet near Market could not be more convenient. Also, free parking in attached, covered garage--in Charleston, that is like gold!

| I would recommend the Best Western Charles Inn its convenience to the Historical District. It was a comfortable room and the hotel workers were very helpful and friendly. Also, the free parking is a major plus for an area where the parking is expensive in the parking garages. Now, if they could just fix the noisy air conditioner I could give the hotel a higher rating. However, its convenience trumps all other of these types of problems.

| Once the room was paid I had everything I needed: a complimentary car park in the city center, free internet access on a PC in the lobby, free WLAN in my room, coffee/tea/water all day long, and a nice pool and terrace. The room was spacious but close to the street, so there is always some traffic noise.

| This is a comfortable, basic hotel in a great location to see Charleston on foot. There are not many luxuries, but the rooms were spacious and clean. The front desk was very helpful setting up tours or advising on the surrounding area. Off-street parking is a plus. The pool is small but refreshing on a hot day. The breakfast buffet was very good.

| Great location but room left a lot to be disired. Seemed dark, small and cramped. No real amenities and dining room was not my desired eating location for any meal.

| Great service. The wrong room was assigned, as I had requested a single king bed. Upon arrival this room wasn't available; however, the manager went out of his way to accomodate me and make me feel welcomed. The following mornig the the room was made available and I was moved by 10:00 a.m. Kudos to the housekeeping staff!

| I enjoyed the convenience of this historic district hotel as well as its consistently excellent and courteous service. Daily happy hour, concierge service and free parking were a plus. Availability of breakfast service was also very nice. I have stayed here before and plan to return on my subsequent trips to Charleston.
