| Wonderful staff, friendly, accomodating. The rooms are spotless with the most pleasant luxury linens! I slept like a baby. My husband and I had a romantic getaway weekend here. I wish we could go back every weekend. Not one complaint or even the slightest annoyance in this hotel. The lounge is a must for a night cap! Should be a five star hotel in our opinion, just on the service quality alone.

| The hotel is in a great location. It's close enough to the historical part of town to walk over there or catch a bus and is also near some great shopping. The room was very nice. The bathroom was a nice size with both a tub and shower. The bed was fabulous. Just down the street is another hotel with a reputation for fabulous beds but these are just as good if not better. When an information person at the visitor center asked where I was staying, I told him and his comment was "wow, nice hotel". I'd definitely stay here again even though I usually try to stay in places where I have "frequent stay" cards.

| Nice hotel in busy section of Rittenhouse Square. Room was large with king bed and large marble bathroom. Ample closet space, large desk and small sitting area. Decor was modern and upscale. Bed was very comfortable and room was quiet. Security in hotel was good, you need to insert your key card into the elevator before it will allow access to any of the floors above the lobby. I wouldn't bother looking for another place to stay if in Philidelphia agian, this one's a no brainer.

| This is my second Sofitel Hotel (the first was in D.C.) and easily becoming the place I will look for on my travels. The rooms are bigger than most hotels and are very new feeling (fresh sheets (seeming months not years old) and duvets...not the run-down top cover). The staff is beyond the usual good manners.... they take their job in fine service seriously. I would highly recommend them for beautiful... and reasonable hospitality.

| Great hotel, centrally located. Friendly staff, easy check in and check out. The room was awesome, nice size, exceptionally clean, no signs of wear and tear, the feather bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was huge with separate shower and tub and granite countertop. Also, the bathrobes was a nice touch and the toiletries were high-end and great. Overall a great place to stay and it's definitely where I will be when I come back to Philly.

| This hotel was a second choice because the one for the conference I attended was filled. The staff was attentive and I loved my junior suite with dressing room, sitting room and bath that opened on two sides to the dressing room and hallway. The bedding was scrumptious! I wouldn't hestitate to go back.

| As mentioned earlier, the doors are quite loud when closed. Otherwise, my room was great. Comfortable bed with pillow top mattress, spacious bathroom, and great fitness center.

| Our 2 night stay at this hotel was amazing and was above and beyond our expectations. The front desk staff was extremely generous and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was perfect as well and the location of the hotel.

| My husband and I went for a romantic getaway and we became agravated when we could not get directions to the hotel from the staff from Penns Landing We had driven around for a hour in the hood of Philadelphia and the staff didn't even want to help get us there because there were other calls coming in he said. Only to arrive at 1am and we couldn't vallet park because there were to many cars there in the way so we park around the corner. On the upswing the rooms were lovely but the view is horrible old boarded up windows on old buildings no wonder they have thick heavy drapes hanging. Keep them closed. I guess we are just country people and it all depends on what you want snooty upscale room service or fun, reasonable and safe.

| The greeting we recieved at the front desk was not particularly welcoming but the concierge and valet staff were lovely. The hotel itself was very plush and elegantly decorated and the beds were super comfortable. We stayed two nights and not one night did they turn down our bed before we got back. The location is excellent, it's downtown and we walked all over the city.

| The Sofitel of Philadelphia was a nice surprise!Having stayed at other hotels in the area we were not sure if we would be downgrading,but were very happy to find the Sofitel our new favorite!The room was very comfortable,especially the beds!!!The sitting area and bathroom were very comfortable and roomy and VERY quiet!!The location of the sofitel makes it an ideal spot.Right across the street is "La creperie" a splendid place for lunch or dinner.We have never been disappointed there!Rittenhouse Sqaure is within walking distance as well.I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

| Lets start with the room. The beds are out of this world...down mattress pads, down compforter, it was like sleeping in a cloud. The bathroom was lovely and the toiletries supplied were fantastic. They even supplied me with a fan for the "hum" I need to be able to sleep. We ordered in breakfast and it was delicious. The bar/lounge area was great. Terrific service and the food/drinks were great. The service was wonderful...the staff could not have been friendlier and so helpful. This was our first time in Philadelphia and they recommended great restaurants and bars to check out...they were right on the money. We can't wait to go back in the fall to see a flyers game! I would stay in any of the sofitel hotels - magnifique!

| Sofitel offers beautifully appointed rooms, extra space, elegant furnishings at competitive prices. The service is gracious and friendly [our iron didn't work and a new one was brought promptly], the bar/lounge is welcoming even when crowded. One warning: don't expect high tech from the business facilities. The hotel claims it is upgrading, but for now all they have is one dial-up internet terminal that doesn't always work.

| As a female traveling solo for one night, this was a very comfortable place for me to stay. I felt completely safe and the room was very clean and extremely comfortable. The service level from the staff was excellent. I will definitely stay here again, and will seek out Sofitel in other cities. I read just about every hotel's reviews on Expedia.com before booking this because I was worried about staying in the inner city alone, and the feedback on this hotel is why I booked it. I felt obliged to leave feedback for others comparing hotels. You can't go wrong with this one.

| This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The restaurant was fabulous and I am pleased to say I had one of the best meals I've ever had there. And not to forget - one of the best desserts ever!! The room was very modern and unique looking. The bed was SO comfortable! Everything was perfect! Definetly worth the money.. I'll be back!

| good place to stay for business. but as far as a nice place to get away, it's not all that impressivethe rooms were nice, not as big as i hoped a king room would be.also, the temperature of the room was problematic from the minute i stepped in. it was extremely cold. then the vent was right by the bed so the air was blowing directly on me during the night.
