Aside from being a great hotel in general (at a reasonable price too), they really take care of their guests with dogs. The infamous question comes to mind of "will you stay here again" or "would you recommend this to a friend?" Both are yes! I couldn't imagine staying at another place.

The Summit Lodge was a great place to stay for our honeymoon. It is located on the outskirts of Whistler Village, so it's close enough to be convenient but far enough away for much needed quiet and privacy. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils, fridge, and microwave. My only complaint was that the beds were hard. I personally had no problem with them, but my wife had a hard time sleeping because of it.

Beware of the Executive King Studio rooms

We stayed in the Executive King Studio room and it was NOISEY from the hydrolics in the elevator. The noise starts at 6:00 am and doesn't let up all day. I asked someone at the front desk if they've gotten other complaints and she said, "oh yes! It sounds like someone's turning the water on and off, on and off, right? That's from the hydrolics. Next time you should ask for a room away from the elevator." That was her solution? She said it so matter-of-fact... I was kind of put off by it. There won't be a next time. However, the room was clean, the amenities were nice, and it's at a good location. If you decide to stay here, make sure you ask for a room away from the elevators and don't choose the Executive King Studio because ALL of them are next to the elevator. Upgrade to a two bedroom (which is definitely are located at the far end of the building). Good luck!

The rooms were very clean and I had a wonderful view of the market from my balcony. The staff were very helpful and their suggestions for places to go and dining out were excellent.

Excellent location within a 5-10 minute walk of almost everything. The rooms were nice and comfortable. The staff was friendly and went out of there way to help us. The negatives were there was not a fitness room, the spa was not warm and the beds were very hard. Overall though it was great for the price and we would visit again! The spa services were pretty steep...

Just returned from another beautiful trip to Whistler. We stayed at the Summit Lodge this go round. First impression is front desk staff is clueless and gives innaccuarte information or tells you to find it yourself. Throughout the stay, they did not want to be bothered wish to be bothered and want to go back to doing nothing. The hotel has no concierge services at all. We had a 1 BR suite which was much smaller than the 600+ sq ft advertised. The room was clean and well services, the bed was confortable. The Spa was excellent. If only the fron end of the hotel was run that way.

I booked the Summit Lodge for my 1rst Anniversary in January 2005 for several reasons:Price - Compared to other lodges in Whistler, the Summit Lodge is competatively priced, and I think good value for what you get.Location - Across the street from the market and walking distance from everything. It's not at the foot of the Gandola's, but I don't mind a 15 minute walk to get the blood flowing, and there is a shuttle if you don't like to walk.Spa - Our gift to eachother was the Javanese masssage. Oh man it was nice. This lodge and spa is a very relaxing place. Some things that the Summit Lodge could improve on are as follows:Parking - I was surprised to find out when I got there that they charges $18 a day Canadian.Restaurant - There is really no hotel restaurant, but a short walk brings you to many high end restaurants or value priced ones.

This hotel was in a great location. Within walking distance to all of the shopping and night life. They had a complimentary shuttle to the bottom of the mountain and the driver was very friendly. A woman behind the counter was more than helpful. She helped us plan what to do every night and was always telling us the hot spots to go at night. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was very nice and it even has a small kitchen with all utencils needed. I had a great stay and I cna't wait to go back!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Summit Lodge. I must say that the room wasn't quite as impressively comfy as other Kimpton hotels we've stayed in. And it was a little on the small side. But it had a very useful kitchenette which was really nice to have at a ski area, great location, very nice spa, and tremendously helpful staff.
