| Every problem that cropped up was dealt with quickly and pleasently.(They didn't have a King we reserved ready the first night, but got us switched with no problems, and the new rooms' air thermostat made a hissing sound which they fixed ASAP) Everyone was pleasent and helpful . The only thing that was irritating was the people pushing the time share condos that are going to be built in the near future where the hotel is now. The room was comfortable and had a great view of the ocean. Eat at Johnny canoes at the hotel(good food and decent prices). Also go to Dicky Mo's down the street, they have great food at very reasonable prices as well. All in all a great place to stay for the money ,4 out of 5 stars.

| The hotel was what I expected. The price was cheap, but the hotel was nice. Howevere, if you can get a room on the higher floors, do so. When it rains, it floods on the lower floors. The hotel is going to be torn down and an entire new hotel will be built. I enjoyed it

| It's a place to stay. Nuff said. The staff were truly friendly and acommodating. They were also trustworthy in that I left my room safe open one day and called them remotely to ask that they secure it for me and they did. Nothing lost or stolen! But for the hotel's age and ragged appearance, the place was still nice.

| The lobby and grounds are very nice, but the rooms are very outdated and dingy. I was a little grossed out by the carpet and especially the bathroom. Water sometimes smelled of sulfer. Staff was very friendly but do not allow anyone to check in early. If you don't want to spend much time in your hotel room and want a cheap stay, it is fine. I will not go back though.

| My seven days in the Bahamas was restful and great. The hotel is very clean, the staff pleasant and the room good. They had a fitness centre which was good, workers in their deli and grill were friendly. This was my first trip around and though notwalking distance to the city (what they calldown town)the area was very tourist friendly and clean...even the streets were clean. Overall a really nice experience Travelling was easy (right at the front of the property) I would recommend the resort to others

| This hotel is a good bargain, cheaper than the wyndham and raddison but you get to use the amenities at both. They have free use of snorkels, kyaks, beach chairs, towels. Remember you are in the Bahamas and they move alot slower than we do in the States. The rooms are comparable to a budget hotel in the US. We didnt spend much time in the room anyway.

| This is a wonderful old hotel with a great beach that is quiet and peaceful. The water is pristine and there is free kyaking. There is an internet store in the hotel as well as a small luncheonette that makes great club sandwiches. Outside, a coffee shop on one side and Sbarro's on the other offer relatively cheap food. Our room had a refrigerator which came in quite handy. Unfortunately the room had a higher 'yuk' factor than I was expecting. It wasn't disgusting, but it just didn't feel clean. Pet peeve: no coffee maker in the room. If you want cheap, and cleanliness takes a lower priority, this is a great hotel. The ocean in Cable Beach is calm, unlike Paradise Island where we found a strong undertow and dangerous swimming.

| The only good qualitiesy of this hotel, are the location on the beach and ocean view from our room. It took us almost 2 hours to check in. When we finaly got to our room, there were no towels in the bathroom and the iron was missing. The entire hotel staff was very rude and offered no help at all. For the price we paid the hotel itself was not bad. If you avoid the staff and give yourself plenty of time for your requests to be met, you should have a good time.

| Myself and a coworker stayed at the Hotel. The price was great. The first night our bathroom was full of some kind of flying bugs. We were then moved to a room with a king size bed. We are both females and did not want to sleep in the same bed. The next day we were moved into a room with double beds...but you needed the key to lock as well as open the door, the room was supposedly on a non smoking floor but smelled fully like cigarette smoke, the ceiling over the tub leaked into the tub and over the toilet. The hotel needs to be fully remodled.

| I would not recommend this hotel. My room had termite droppings at the bottom of door frame. The vent above the toilet was dripping water into the toilet. I suspect it was condesation built up in the air conditioning system. We did not call maintenance because we did'nt want men in and out of our room. We just lived with it and placed a towel over toilet seat cover. My bed was extremely comfortable. If all you want is a place to sleep and shower this place will suit you without having to pay too much. The women at the coffee shop were pleasant, and check in and out was quick.

| We only needed a room for a one-night for a lay-over on our way to the one of the out islands. Many hotels in Nassau require a minimum 3-night stay, this hotel did not. The room was big and had a nice view and a balcony (one of the end/corner rooms). The beach was nice and there were two pools. The hotel needs a face lift. The rooms definitely show a lot of wear and tear.

| I had a three day business stay at Nassau Beach and despite the previous negative reviews I had received, I can only report positive things on my visit. The property is due to be demolished and it would be easy for management to let it be run-down. However, it was well maintained and the room was clean and tidy. The towels were somewhat worn and that was my only complaint. The restaurant at the front of the property - Johnnie Cakes - was quite good and I had breakfast there every day.

The hotel can use an immediate renovation, from the interior updates to plumbing water systems. Hotel staff was ok was not as warm as expected. If your young & single ok, spend a few more dollars if with family & stay @ a hotel down the street. Regards; The Island Hopper

| This was my second time at the Nassau Beach Hotel and I again enjoyed my stay. The location on Cable beach is beautiful and convenient to Golf, SCUBA diving, good food, etc. The hotel is older and a bit worn around the edges but the service is friendly and the room is clean. The view from my room was amazing and the price can't be beat. This is a good place for someone looking for a cheap comfortable hotel in a great location, those looking for luxury should look elsewhere. I would like to return next year but the Hotel has been sold and is slated to be torn down within the year, to make room for a new luxury development, Bahamar.

While waiting it seemed like everything was fouled up. Other guest were complaining about getting to their room and finding the room already assigned to other guests. There were broken windows along the hall way on the third floor where I stayed. Thankfully my stay was for only one night.

| This hotel is the least expensive (for obvious reasons) of the three Cable Beach resorts that are linked. The room was reasonably clean and the view was absolutely spectacular! In general, the place gives off an air of grunginess, but it's tolerable if you're only in the hotel to sleep. My one complaint was that the bar at the beach didn't have wait service on the beach. It's okay for folks on limited budgets, but if you can, try for one of the other hotels on the beach.

My legs were hurting and my temper was at an all time high. The employees seem to not care about the people they serve and that mean you. After getting booked into the room, we left the room to see the Island. We where gone for over 6 hours. We came back tired and discovered that our room had not been cleaned. We had to stand out in the lobby for over 35 minuets and wait for the hotel to do a job that should have been done many hours before. This stay was a disaster.

| I had read many bad reviews of this hotel, but decided to still give it a chance. Its a nice hotel, but looks like it was quite run down at some point. During my stay May 2006, there was a lot of work being done inside - so I would think that within a few months or by the end of the year, this hotel will easily earn better reviews/rating. The only problems seemed to be soem broken windows and damaged walls, but all else was nice - and they were hard at work fixing those things when I was there. Pools, the lobby area and exterior in good condition. Joe Canoe resturant is outstanding. Its nearly the lowest price hotel in Nassau, and I wouldn't have expected much more. After renovation, I expect prices will go up.
