Spent two nights here, check in went smooth, hotel staff was very pleasant. Room was Exactly what I booked through Expedia, we even got a slight ocean view. Some of the furniture in the room was a little beat up, but the room was clean. It is a great location, right in the center of the boardwalk. We ate at the dinner buffet one evening, and the food was good, and the price was too reasonable to pass up. I would stay here again. We did stay only two nights and they were weekday night, a Wednesday and a Thursday, so I have not idea how crowded the place may be on a week end.

Not the nicest or fanciest hotel/casino in Atlantic City, but definitely worth the price. Spacious room with 2 tv's, 2 full baths, and 2 beds at half the price of most in the area. Would definitely stay there again!

I stay in Atlantic City often and out of all the hotels/casino hotels I have stayed The Sands rates at the top of the list. The room was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The room service was fabulous. I used the room service twice and the food was excellent also the service was friendly and efficient. The casino had a good variety of games and provides a pleasant gaming environment. There is much more to enjoy that I have not mentioned. The only negative comments are the TV channel line up. Very few selections left me a bit disappointed and the air conditioning was not the best. However, everything considered a good experience. I would recommend to friends and family.

The Sands is obviously one of the older hotels in Atlantic City. In spite of this, the rooms and public spaces are nicely decorated and clean. My main complaint would be that the elevators are too slow and there are not enough of them. Also, during our stay which was only one night, the escalator going down from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor was broken and was not being repaired. Because of this, a lot of people had to use the elevators instead making them even more crowded and slow. Also we thought they should have more places to eat inside of the hotel itself. The casino was very nice and the shower in our room was excellent which is not always the case. And room service was very quick.

This just wasn't the hotel for us.I dislike having to trot around a casino with my luggage to check in, and then having to put your key in the elevator to go to your floor was a pain, especially for all the older folks who stay there.Upon entering the room,we discovered open Pepsi cans and an ice tub full of water on the table. Then when we opened the closet there were men's clothes left in it!The bathroom was small and the shower water had no pressure.I will never stay at this place again.

My girlfriend and I just returned from Atlantic City. Overall it was a great trip, but didn't have anything to do with this hotel. The casino, halls, and room all are showing their age. All are poorly lit and maintained. Our room (supposed to be a king-non smoking) ended up being a smoking room (which was converted the day before with New Jersey's new smoking law) with two beds. The hallways were like going through a cave. Only half the lights worked in the hall. In the room their was no remote for the television, and get this, the TV was so old the paint on the control buttons on the front of it were wore off, so we had to hunt and peck everytime we wanted to change something on the TV. Pay the extra money and stay at one of the "real" resorts in AC.

Upon chech it at the "Sands" the room that we wanted was Non-Smoking, they gave us a smoking. The room was horrid, smelled, not cleaned well, in a back corner of the 5th floor. We went to the front desk and nicely told tham that the room was unactable. It took about an hour but well worth it. We were moved to the 16th floor to a non-smoking room, And it also overlooked the ocean. Overall the hotel gave us exceptional service, and were easy to work with.

We were set up ion the Madison suites which is an older AC building attached to the main casino. While it was nice to have a separate living room & bedroom, the lighting was inadeqate, it was noisy since it was near the parking garage and the beds were short (I am 5'5" and my feet were hanging off). On the plus side, it is near the Boardwalk & Boardwalk Hall. Staff was courteous.

I stayed with a group of girls for a bachelorette party. The staff was not nice at all compared to when I've visited other casinos. I'd rather pay more money and stay somewhere else. There were beer labels in the sheets when we arrived, but otherwise the rooms were fine. We had been hanging out at the main bar in the casino and spending a lot of money and then the bartender said we couldn't sit there anymore unless we bought more drinks. We all had drinks in our hands and had spent a lot of $$$-- very annoying. We had a few run ins with very rude employees and I will not be returning.

Planned a weekend in Atlantic City for my birthday with friends. This hotel was more than i expected after some of the bad reviews i read. Our room was in the Madison tower and I didnt have one bad experience at all. The rooms were clean, the casino was nice and the location was superb. Its a small walk to the boardwalk and to get back to the hotel there is even a direct connection via people mover.

Honestly I wasn't in Atlantic City to sleep. I was there to be out all night, hit the casinos, and have a good time. The Sands Casino is pretty nice, so it was convenient to have the room available for quick changes or a short break. I think we actually slept for 3-4 hours, and we only stayed one night! You can't beat the location, it's pretty much in the center between all the other casinos. And the price is awesome, you get more than your money's worth for Atlantic City! I will definitely stay here on my next trip if I have to pay for a room, and I will book it through Expedia to get the great price!

The hotel was completely booked, we requested two rooms with two double beds each, hoping that one would actually be that way. Neither were, so we had 4 people in a room with 1 double bed, not even a king. Two kids slept on the floor. It took 45 minutes for housekeeping to bring extra blankets and they couldn't find any extra pillows.

My family and I booked this hotel for a family reunion admittedly we stayed in the suite on the 15th floor. The hotel manager gave us a joining rooms x6 we had a flat screen tv and dvd player. The bathroom was huge. We loved every minute not to mention the view of the beach/ocean. The staff was very friendly and seemed eager to help. My grandmother who is wheel chair bond was happy she could get to the casino on her own because it was right down stairs! The beach was a city block away. The board walk stores were extremly low/affordable (there's even a dollar store). Our only regret is we didn't do this sooner. Before I could unpack we were alread planning our trip for next year.

This is a quality hotel located in the middle of the boardwalk. Only hotel on the boardwalk with a moving access ramp from the boardwalk to the hotel. It lets you stay out of inclement weather when you want to return to your hotel or the one next door. You can also access the Claridge & Bally's from the access ramp. I would stay there again.

After staying at a few different places in Atlantic City, my boyfriend and decided to give the Sands Hotel & Casino a try because of their cheap rates during the week. This was a mistake. I'd rather pay more for a better hotel experience. First of all, the hotel check-in is on the complete opposite side from the parking garage. I felt like we had to go through a maze to find the lobby. We had to wait a while to check-in, although there was only 1 person in front of us. Then we got up to our room and I swear there were 2 twin beds. They were so small. 2 people can not sleep comfortably in one. The Sands needs to have a private walkway to the boardwalk like they have from the boardwalk to the hotel. I don't think I'd stay here again.
