The folks running the place were very nice; and tried to make your stay memorable. The suite was roomy enough and cleaning service was good. Manage your expectations regarding the complimentary breakfast: if you are a meat eater - there is no meat served. Like eggs? Only boiled eggs served. Everything else really was good. Hope this helps the next family travelling.

I just came back from a Disney vacation. Our stay at this hotel was perfect. The rooms are clean, a little smaller than what they look in the pictures, but comfortable. The hotel in general is accessible and clean. The pool stays opne 24 hours and the bar offers a variety of fast food choices at affordable prices. My children enjoyed the pool after a full day at the parks. Transportation to the parks is provided right on schedule. Overall a small, clean, affordable hotel.

Upon arrival the first thing that struck me was the friendliness of people inside the hotel. All the staff were very helpfull in helping us settle in to our rooms. The present of the cake I felt was a nice touch! The hotel itself appeared very clean and tidy. Our hotel room was spacious and the interior was very pretty. The breakfast in the morning was satisfactory too although I do think that some healthier cereal should be added to the menu as opposed to the sugar type offered. The shuttle to and from the hotel was prompt and I loved the dvd's which we got to watch on the bus to and from the parks. Overall I think that the hotel was fantatic and I would certainly recommend this hotel to a friend.

If you'd like to be treated like royalty at peasant prices, then stay at Comfort Suites Maingate East. From the moment you walk through the doors, you are treated very special. The concierge service will assist you with everything you need, luggage, holding the elevator, towels for the pool, etc. And it is a service totally provided by the hotel. These helpful people do not have their hands out for tips either. They are genuinely very helpful. Try it out, you'll be totally satisfied!

Nice clean friendly hotel. Was turned off by arrving late and being shuffled to the "hit me up desk" trying to get me to go hear about vacation properties, with teased of getting low cost tickets. When we were leaving the hotel, granddaughter left her purse in the room. When I went back to get it, the maid had already hidden in a cubby. She did go in and get it for me, but we discovered she had already taken the park pass, after were on airport shuttle. Very disturbing!!!!!!!!

The Comfort Suites is a very nice hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. The pool area is clean and if you arrive in mid afternoon it is great for small children. The only complaint we have is with the Concierge Desk. We arrived at the hotel a bit road weary. A very friendly member of the staff met us at the door and assigned someone to help us with our bags. When we entered the hotel we were herded over to the Concierge desk where friendly women started asking us if we were going to Disney. When we answered yes she said that she could sign us up for a free breakfast buffet "spectacular" and tour the new resort Comfort Suites has right next to Disney. She alluded that we could be in by 8 A.M. and at Disney by 9:30. Also by touring the grounds we would receive $80 to spend at Disney. When I asked if it was a "hard-sell" Time Share she said no. We agreed to do it...what a mistake. It was a nightmare! They were like sharks on minnows - trying everyway possible to have us buy a timeshare. It started at $600 p/month and ended at $100. We said no and finally got out of there with our money (which was well earned!) That was the only black mark we had with the hotel. It was in a great location and is only 5 minutes from Disney. We would stay there again, knowing what we now know.

We had a great experience at the Comfort Suites. The room was very clean. The housekeeper was very nice. She would place my daughter's stuffed animals on the bed pillows each morning and even folded the washcloths into a pair of slippers! The pool was big and very warm. (It could have been due to the 97 degree temperatures we had all week). The only downside to the experience was the breakfast area. It could get quite crowded by 8 am and the food was so-so. It does save money if you are traveling to the theme parks in the area because it is included in the hotel price but we ate at a couple restaurants anyway. A lot of times there was no place to sit because of all the people. Overall it was very nice and very close to all things Disney. Universal is only 10 minutes away as well as Seaworld. You can also visit Old Town Kissimmee which is only 2 blocks away. It is kinda hokey but the kids liked watching people on the mechanical bull and flinging through the air on the skycoaster. (The sky coaster is very brightly lit making it easy to get back to the hotel at night.)

My family hotel stay was wonderful. However, upon arrival at the hotel I felt mislead into thinking that we were being greated by the hotel staff when infact it was time share sellers. My family and I ended up going to the seminar which was supposed to be 90 minutes long, instead it turned out to be almost four hours. It was not a good experience, we felt that our vacation time was being invaded. Other wise we enjoyed the rest of our stay. I do recommend this hotel, our room was spacious and always clean. Just beware of time share sellers.

The hotel is only a few short miles to Disney attractions, and is reasonably priced. The gym was good, it had a multi station nautilus type machine, and also stationary bike and treadmill. The pool and jacuzzi are open 24hrs! The staff was friendly. The hotel is located within easy walking distance to "Old Town", a neat little place with shops, eateries, and such. My only complaint would be the junk stored in the lot next to the hotel is an eyesore, but I don't think the hotel has any control over that.

I also feel they need to correct the situation with the elevators they are very slow. If you like clean and confortable rooms this is the place to stay. great price and location. The hotel and staff are great. The rooms are clean. The shower curtain in our room this time smelled like mildew and the matresses need to be changed. It's been five years since our last visit and I'm sure the matresses have a lot of where and tear. Other than that the staff seemed alot more friendly than we remembered and overall the motel was still very clean and in an awesome location.

This was our family's first trip to Florida/Disney and it couldn't have been any better. Breakfast at the hotel was included and it was plentiful - muffins, bagels, waffels, oatmeal, cereals, cold & hot drinks and more. This alone is worth the stay however so is the location, the pools, the room, etc... Olive Garden is just down the main strip and the food there was delicious and reasonably priced. The pools and hot tub at the hotel were a great way to start and end the day. Towels were always available and the grounds were kept clean. Our room was spacious, and kept cleaned and it came with a refrig. that was filled with snacks and drinks. The exterior of the hotel is nicely kept and beautifully lit at night. It's about 10 mins. from the Disney parks. It was a magical trip for our young children (3 1/2 & 6 1/2). We will definitely come again!

We had a great room, or actually suite, with separate living room an bed room, kitchenette with fridge and microwave, and spacious bathroom with jacouzy and even a separate space for the ladies to do make-up. Breakfast is good as well, but cold and sweet. We missed some hot, salty items such as scrambled eggs and sausages. Housekeeping does a good job trying to make things look nice. Although we were only in the hotel to sleep, I enjoyed my stay there.

Overall I thought the staff was very pleasant, the rooms were very clean. A few negatives is that for 7 floors only 2 elevators, we were on 6th floor and waited a very long time for elevator. We tried taking the steps but it took us outdoors. Also alot of children were running around unsupervised. Last complaint is the bar/lunch didn't open until 3:00. So if you wanted to stay at the hotel there was nothing to eat until after 3:00 unless you left the hotel and came back. Overall I would rate it a 3.

This was our first stop on our honeymoon. We spent 2 nights here and found the hotel to be exactly what we had expected. We were very pleased with how close the hotel was to Old Town as this is one of our favorite places to visit in Kissimmee and we stop there at least once everytime we come to town. You are right near a bunch of resturants including a Red Lobster, an IHOP, and a McDonalds. If you want to go a little farther down the road, you also have a Ruby Tuesday, a Macaroni Grill and a Papa John's. We found the room to be basic, but the room was clean and the bed comfortable. We only planned to use the room as a place to sleep so we didn't get to take advantage of the fridge or the microwave. We enjoyed sitting outside by the pool while we waited for our laundry to finish up after we checked out. The Location is great and the rooms are much better than some of the others we have stayed in in Kissimmee. The only thing we found somewhat off putting was the fact that you are greeted by a West Gate representative as you check in. We were not pressed to go to one of their time share presentations, but the fact that we knew that is what they did, made us somewhat uncomfortable.

Breakfast was a real time saver and they had just enough of a variety to carry you through the morning. Elevators can be very slow as people have mentioned before. My family and I would stay here again. The only thing to be leery of is that the concierges do try to take some of your time to sell you timeshares. If you say no thanks they do leave you alone.

This hotel was great. The room was large and had a clean fridge and microwave with cabinets. It was great to have cold drinks and snacks in the room (cheaper than buying at the parks too!). Check in was amazingly smooth and fast, but the desk does get busy during the day and you may have to wait to pay for items from the gift shop/store. (But relax...you're on vacation!) Also, Barracuda Barts has extremely fast room service and the prices aren't that bad. We didn't get to use the pool area or game room, but both looked fun. We don't have kids, but if you do, this place is perfect!! There are even laundry rooms on each floor. Lots of food and a Walgreens very close by too.

I chose this hotel based on the reviews and the reviewers were right. This hotel was superb in terms of the condition, room, pool, breakfast, room service food and location. The room was remarkably new and clean. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. My whole family slept so well. The bathroom was super clean. The housekeeper did such a great job. Everything about the room was perfect except the shower. The waterpower was so weak. It was certainly a bummer after a long hot day at the park. The welcome by the staff was so warm and pleasant that my wife and I were impressed but a little bit overwhelmed. We couldn't believe how well they did their jobs until we were approached to talk about timeshares. We tried to cancel but they were extremely persistent and wouldn't take no for an answer. The breakfast, presentation, properties, sales and marketing strategies were A+ but we were disappointed about their insincere intentions. They treated us so well because they wanted to sell us something. I am sure some of them were sincere. I would have given this hotel a 5 but the timeshares and shower made me feel very unsatisfied.

We stayed at the Comfort Suites during the last week of June. We found that the staff was very friendly and helpful, our room was spacious, and equipped with appliances for heating and refrigeration of beverages and food. The cleaning staff not only cleaned daily but created origami shaped towels each day, and placed my daughters stuffed animals nicely on the bed for her welcome. The hot tub and pool was a great from the break the theme parks and the location of the hotel was a perfect walk away to Old Town's amusement park. However, there was one issue we encountered with the our rental car, someone keyed the driver side of the car and no one was the wiser, so parking security is definitely an issue. Thank goodness for the added insurance on the rental. Overall - Great Hotel for a family on a budget.

We'll start with the good The staff was friendly The hotel, room and pool area were clean The breakfast was good The hotel sits back from a busy street so your close to the action, but are spared the noise You could walk to Old Town, we went one night and enjoyed the classic car cruise and shopping in the diffrent shops The bad- The concierge, which you'll have one assigned to you when you register was very nice but beware they want to sell you a timeshare The elevator is the worst, just use the stairs and save yourself the time One evening we came in from a swim and the power was out, there was some backup lighting and the lights came back after a while, still a little unsettling The sheets are changed every third day, and per a sign in the bathroom your encouraged to reuse your towels to help with conservation, (we opted for fresh towels) When we would come back to our room there would be pamphlets to pizza places ect.. that were slipped under our door, somehow this bugged me. Overall I would recommend this hotel, it was close to disney, old town and lots of restaurants, outlets and other shops, so the good out weighed the bad.
