| The lobby is rustic and nice, but the rooms are just average. The hotel makes a good alternative to the large chains.

| The location was convenient. Able to walk to train station from hotel. The train was close but . . . so was the train sound!! I didn't find the hotel restaurants to be as nice as advertised to be. Definitely preferred the Parlour Cars over Rod's inside the hotel. Although nice and clean, the room seemed too small. Much smaller than the rooms represented on the website!! Had a lot of formal gatherings scheduled at hotel. Sometimes felt out of place (especially considering attire) compared to guests that were there for a party. Overall had a pleasant time. Will consider coming back. It is a nice retreat if planning on a New York City trip but don't want to stay in a hotel amongst the city's chaos. It was less than a one hour train ride to Penn Station.
