This hotel was convenient to the train station, Tivoli Gardens, and the tourist information center. It isn't, however, in the nicest part of town. Our room, while small, was very clean.

The hotel is convenient to most of downtown Copenhagen. It was furnished in a contemperory desing (as most Scandinavian hotels). The staff were courteous and the food was excellent. The only drawback was the size of the rooms. It is ideal size for 1 or 2 people, but it is too small to accomidate a family. Overall a good value in lodging.

This is a great hotel, the location is fantastic. The rooms are quiet, considering the location in the middle of the city. Two things I noticed on the negative side, are that some rooms have windows to a covered atrium, and those rooms do not have the best fresh air ventilation, and the cell phones does not get any reception on some of the rooms.

Other than location this hotel doesn't have much to offer. Make sure you don't get a room on the 5th floor. We got stuck in 556 that overlooks the fourth floor roof. Nothing more than an attic with a skylight(tips in)for a window. Hans Chriustian Andersen's apartment was biffer. During our four day (May 26-30) stay our room was cleaned once. Carpet in the hall was worn to the backing. After reading the other reviews I'm wondering if we stayed in the same place. NEVER again!!!

The proximity to Train Station was a plus. The continental breakfast buffet was outstanding. Computer internet was almost always available. Attendants were very helpful, especially in helping with language barrier. The only concern was that towels were not replaced unless lying on the floor (that may be their policy).

Although the hotel was modern it was not up to American standards for comfort and cleanliness in that price range. Linens were not changed, room was small and the two twin beds pushed together to become a double bed actuallly remained singles and continually separated. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great hotel, great price. My girlfriend and I stayed here as part of an Expedia package. It was referred to me by a friend who works in Europe and stayed there for business. It was very clean, great European feel and only a 5 minute walk from great shopping and the center of Copenhagen. Right downstairs on the street is a grocery store and a bakery for fresh breakfast pastries.

I stayed at the First Hotel Westerbro for about a week. The location is top notch, being only 200 yards away from the Copenhagen Central Train/Metro Station. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but not spacious. As a business traveler, thumbs up on the broadband internet access. I conducted business training sessions online from my hotel room - the connections were speedy and stable. The complementary breakfast was nice - and better than most (but not a true buffet). The room service menu and restaurant were fair to good. The folks at the front desk were also very helpful when I needed help ordering a Pizza in Danish! All in all - a solid business travellers hotel - with all the must-haves.

I have extensive experience with European hotels, which are much smaller and less comfortable than American hotels. This is especially true with Danish and French hotels. First Hotel Vesterbro is absolutely an exemption and far exceeded my expectations. I recommend it to all my colleagues who frequently visit Copenhagen, and from now it will be MY Hotel in the Danish capital. Five min. from Central Station and moderately priced. One very satisfied customer :-)

Convenient to Tivoli/shopping. Friendly staff. Good restaurant(s) in hotel and nearby. Close to train station and buses. Parking on street nearby (metered) and parking next to hotel (fee).

The price of this hotel was very reasonable... that's why I chose it... and it turned out to be very nice. My only complaint was the price of internet in the room... over $20/day as I recall... which was exorbitant. Otherwise the hotel is modern and very clean and in a great location near the train station and Tivoli.
