| Me and my boyfriend went to this hotel for a week and we had a great time. The grounds of the hotel are great, the food is great, and the ocean is beautiful. The beach area is big so you have space to spread out from other people, which we thought was nice. The pools are really nice as well. For the most part we stayed at the hotel becasue there was so much to do. This is defintley a great place to go to. We got up early every morning though, because it tends to get dark by about 6-7'ish so wanted to spend our days at the beach. But yeah, it was a great vacation and we would go back.

| Positives: good food (especially Casablanca), friendly service, relatively clean, interesting people-watching, entertainment was pretty good, seemed to be a good value for the price. Negatives: noisy (especially later at night), very busy, scuba diving was not good, beach was OK early in the day, but very windy from late morning to late afternoon.

A/C in my room ran constantly and was quite loud but I was still VERY satisfied overall :-) This was my second visit to Trelawny and I look forward to returning SOON!

| This was our first trip to Jamaica, and we had a great time. Everyone was very friendly. The food was fantastic. The room was nice for the short time we spent in it. We just got home and already are looking into returning. Kids have plenty to do. If you have a chance you have to swim with the dolpins in Ocho Rios. You are sure to come home feeling relaxed and energized!

| my husband and i went to jamaica, montego bay for our honeymoon from the 6/25 to 6/29. it was a time in our life that we will never forget. when we arrive in jamaica a bus took us to our hotel and when we got there no rooms was ready for us to check into so we had to wait. about four hours later we was able to check into a room. after arriving in the room we notice that the AC didn't work, the rug was dirty, the glass door couldn't lock and the bath tub water never turned off all the way. we went back down to the desk and told the manger on duty that we will like another room that didn't have that much damage. the other room was just as bad so we dedicded to stick it out for the few days that we stayed there. my honeymoon was not a great one and this hotel was not what they say that it would have been.

| I have to say that after the build-up I received leading up to my trip, I was not impressed. A few times when I returned to my room in the evening I had to call to remind the staff that towels had not been replaced when the room was cleaned. There was also a huge problem with ants in the room and around the facility at night the mosquitos were terrible. I was witness to a sales clerk in the gift shop becoming very nasty with a teenager, simply because the young lady returned to the store to remind the clerk that she had not been given all of her change back. No...I was not impressed at all.

| Jamaica was gorgeous but this hotel sucked. My husband and I were very disappointed with the rooms and the overall condition of the hotel. We are frequent travelers and have booked several vacations with expedia but this was the second time that we have been disappointed in less than 8mths. This was my parents first time out of the country to vacation and I was very embarrassed because I set up this vacation. Two of the rooms booked didn't have air the entire stay and one had roaches. The balcony door to my room kept getting stuck and wouldn't slide open. The food was ok but the staff was not very friendly. The main resturant was open air with ceiling fans and the food area was open as well so flies were on the food. Our room stunk and the phones smelled like mildue. I definately would not return to this hotel. When I tried to speak to the manager concerning tha a/c he was always in a meeting. I even called when I returned on 6/29 and have yet to speak with him. The pool area was very nice but for some reason I think that the local daycares use the pool there. If you are not bringing your kids I wouldn't recommend staying here. Seemed to have alot for kids to do.

| Starfish Trelawny was a fun resort that is all inclusive. There are 3 pools, a disco, game room, spa and shops. They feature two stages with activies filling the days and nights. The beach front was very nice with an island that you could walk to without going in above your knees in the watter. They have optional activities for minimal rates like jet skis, kayaks and sail boats. It is very family friendly too with many extras like miniature golf, a basketball court and billiards tables in the pools. There are two water slides to try out at the pools as well. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. They work hard to keep the place clean all day long for approximately 500 guests. The entertainers go all day and all night we wondered when they slept. We had a great time and never left the resort.

| I had a really great time in Jamaica, but this is definately a budget hotel. The air condition barely worked, the place smelled like roach spray every day and the food was awful. I would not recommend it to anyone at all. Low budget places dont normally bother me, but being in a different country, this place really got to me. No comforts at all, the beds were also uncomfortable.

| This hotel was great, the staff was super-friendly, and made sure to get us anything we needed. The location is great as long as you like to remain at the hotel. We like to go out and it was awhile to Montego Bay where clubs like Margaritaville and Pier 1 were. Other than the drive it was ideal because Ocho Rios is not far the other way, so to see attractions like Dunn's River Falls is not far. The buffet left something to be desired, but the restaurants were awesome! I highly recommend the "platnium plan" it's was great to not to have to carry money or see a huge bill at the end of the trip!

| It was a nice place to stay and the people were relatively nice. However, there are alot of kids there. The resort (from what I saw) is an excellent place for families and there is lots of things for the kids to do. However, because I don't have any kids and am relatively young, it wasn't exactly my kind of resort. But if I did have children, I would defiently take them there.

| We stayed at the Trelawny (6-09 to 6-14). The staff are very friendly and the food was good everywhere. Only the buffet is all inclusive, the other restaurants you have to pay separately. Our room had a view of the entire resorts and it was spectacular. Our room was not cool, we complained twice to the management, and they did not get to our room. The bed is very hard, I like a firm bed, but this was felt like a board. There are ants all over and the sliding glass door which opens into the balcony did not close very well, leaving other critters to enter. If you like to go to a resort with small children, this is the place. I dont mind children (16 years and up). We were tripping over strollers in this resort. Additionally, this place is about a 45 minute drive to Montego Bay or Ocho Rios. Cabs can cost your between 50 to 70 dollars.

| The vacation was supposed to be all inclusive and the description of the hotel mentioned that some items were extra and that entry to some restaurants were extra but actually entry to only the buffet and one other restaurant was free. And in the restaurant that was free, you needed to be formally dressed or else you werent allowed in and on the menu almost everything was extra except one entree. Basically the only food that was free was the buffet which wasnt good at all. Money was not the problem. the problem is you feel gyped the whole time. Other than the food, the hotel is a little old and shabby. The only good thing was the beach which is a beautiful white sand beach but there are lots of people trying to sell "jamaican grass" to you. Definitely not a good experience. Dont call it an all inclusive when its not all inclusive.

| I have never stayed at an all inclusive and had to pay extra to eat in the specialty restaurants. The buffet is horrible, little selection and area is not clean, every time I ate I got sick. The Japanese restuarant, which we paid extra, was good. Also got very sick from the AC unit in the room. It seems they do not clean their filters on a routine basis, so you are breathing in air that is not healthy. The pools were also not kept clean throughout the day. After 2:00 you wouldn't want to go near them. The staff is friendly and do try to be helpful. The lobby bar is the best. I would not stay here nor would I recommend anyone else to do so.

My husband and I decided to stay and make the best of our trip at the resort. I had a lot of fun but was disappointed in the hotel I picked. The drink didnt get us drunk. I was happy that we brought our own alchol. The beach was beautiful but youll get tired of the locals wanting you to buy that u no what. | First impression as you drive up was not the greatest but as we explored the property, it definitely got better and was well worth the trip. The room was a nice size and the beds were comfortable. We had trouble opening the sliding door to the balcony but we had such a great view that we decided to stay put because we didn't want risk losing the view. This is a great resort with lots of activities for everyone. There are different themes for the meals each day and we savored them all. It was excellent!! The entire staff was extremely friendly and very willing to please. Evening entertainment was great too, but if your room overlooks the pool where the entertainment is held, it can be a little loud at night but no need to complain, because after all, you're on vacation. If you are looking for snorkeling, there are no reefs immediately off the beach but the little island adjacent to the beach at the resort is great. We spent most of our time there -- found it to be much quieter and relaxing. It's a very casual resort and I'm ready to go back. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did. If you have kids, there are lots of things for them.

| The Starfish is a nice clean hotel. The rooms are comfortable. If you like to sleep, I would advise you not to stay on the side where the pool and stage area are located. A band usually plays till 11:00 p.m., and the open piano bar is open until 1:00 a.m. Listening to people try to sing at midnight is very annoying to someone who is trying to sleep!!!! The pool and beach could not be any better. Everything is great for kids.

Had heard stories of 'watered down' beverages, but we didn't find that to be the case. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and pleasant. | Overall vacation was a ton of fun. We were very happy with the weather, and got to spend hours each day on the beach and at the fantasic pools. Once we arrived at the hotel, we were never asked for a tip. The food was just okay - they were not consistent with posted buffet meals for each night. Additionally, some of the foods were not labeled. The tennis courts were adequate but isolated. The shows every night were okay - not spectacular. Some of the nightly events (e.g Karaoke and Beach Party) were a lot of fun, while some others weren't really that great (Note: We stayed Mon - Fri and didn't see the Fri-Saturday nightly entertainment). This is not a great choice if you're looking for a crazy time in the evening, but if you're looking for beach and pools in the daytime with some smaller nightly shows/events, then this is the place for you. The hotel's name describes the feeling there quite well. If you would like to spend a vacation at a hotel called "The Starfish", then you'll probably have a good time. If that name is unappealing, you probably find the hotel unappealing.

But,knowing this was a family resort when booking, we can't really complain. Food and Service was great. The smell of rum is always in the air. No Complaints!!! The daytime Beach activities were great! The waitress/waiters on the Beach were very attentive. We would choose and Adult resort next visit but would Highly recommend this resort to families. Very Safe and Guarded. Great daycare services from what we observed. The Starfish Trelawny Resort takes great pride in cleanliness. Bars are very plentiful and very strong drinks. Invest in a BUBBA_KEG thermos to take with you. We used these on the Beach and our drinks stayed nice and cold. We would have the bar fix our drinks in Lg Solo cups and pour them into our BUBB-KEGS to keep the ice from melting and less trips to the bar. They did not mind at all. Great place to stay.
