Towels are provided at the pool area (very nice pool with extraordinary view) and beach area. One hour per day free rental for snorkel equipment and or boogie boards is included. Don't miss the restaurant next door "Ola".

| We spent one night at Turtle Bay, which ended up to be the perfect way to end our week long trip to Hawaii. Previously we had spent 5 days on Kauai, and we did not want to stay in crazy Waikiki. Driving to north shore and away from thousands of tourists proved to be the best bet. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean, and we could open the sliding glass door and listen to the waves as we slept. (The whole wall was glass) The room was also air conditioned, had hair dryer, safe, separate dressing area/sink just outside the bathroom, and it was very quiet. The staff allowed us to stay later than normal check-out because our flight to the mainland did not leave until evening. We were also very pleased with the breakfast buffet. The price was a third of what we had paid for buffets on Kauai and the selection and variety was better than we had enjoyed anywhere else during the week. They had some very interesting kinds of fruit that we had never seen before and were fun to try. Turtle Bay Resort was wonderful and we can't wait to come again.

| Great scenery, great beaches, great golf course, good food (although a bit expensive, but so is the rest of Hawaii...) The service was great as well - we checked out at 12:30pm but didn't fly out until 10pm. So they let us use a room to shower and chage before we went to the airport. We highly recommend Turtle Bay!

The reception service and food were superb. Two of us had beachcottages that were beautiful, and the rest of the party had main resort rooms. Everyone was very satisfied. We are already planning our next trip!!

| We've stayed in both the bungalows and the standard hotel rooms. The bungalows are perfect if you seek seclusion and a very peaceful, serene environment. The Hotel rooms are also nice and they are conveniently close by if you have children who are constantly going from the pool, to the arcade, to the shops for a snack or to the restaurants for a quick bite to eat. Splurge one night and see the luau or visit one of the more upscale restaurants as well. They are all wonderful.

Extreme Ocean View room had 2 queens, ocean view, balcony & most important - a refrigerator (saves on high breakfast & lunch costs) was plenty to accommodate the 4 of us. Nice pool, good body boarding in early am (low tide). Overall a great 5 day stay (after 5 days in Waikiki). Highly recommended.

| We had the best time at the Turtle Bay Resort. The entire staff was helpful, friendly and very accomodating. It's one of the few resorts on Oahu that is close to the city environment of Honolulu, but far enough away that you feel you're on another island. We could surf, snorkle and swim in the morning and enjoy the historical and city attractions in the afternoon.

You are only a short drive away from many different interesting places to see! The drive down the windward oast of the island is absolutley breathtaking and you will be suprised at all the different places to stop along the way. Waikiki is very commercial, but lots of great shopping and restaurants.

| Turtle Bay is the only resort on the North Shore and you pay for the privilege of staying there. The hotel is older than I thought and although remodeled the hotel, and particularly the rooms, show that age in limited ways, although the rooms are kept up nicely. Note that you will be charged additional fees per day, ostensibly for their "free" parking, tennis courts, and other activites. The beach (a small cove that is next to the hotel but not easy to get to) is ok but not great (it's worth the drive to numerous other North Shore beaches within 15 minutes if you want to go to the beach). This is a place to stay if you're looking to golf at the course on the grounds or a quieter place to stay on Oahu.

| We stayed in a Beach Cottage which proved to be very comfortable with a breathtaking view and waves crashing ashore just 50 feet away. The room and lanai were very private and comfortable. It was easy to get around on foot and the scenery was picturesque. All services were outstanding from the housekeeping to the bell service. The insects were a nuisance on the lanai which a couple of citronella candles took care of. Also wished the lanai had a ceiling fan.

| My husband and I stayed at Turtle Bay for our honeymoon last week. When we arrived at the resort the overall appearance was beautiful. I loved the fact that they tried to keep the natural beauty of the North Shore but include all of the amenities of an upscale resort. Our room looked just like the picture on their website down to the pictures on the wall, so what you see is deffinately what you get! The pool area was awesome, they have towel service and poolside dining at Hang Ten which are very convenient. They also have a sundry store in the pool area as well which offers snacks, magazines and other various at a reasonable price compared to the Foodland down the street. I suggest getting some Sodas and snack at the foodland to keep in your room to save a little cash. You do have a small refridgerator so stock it, canned soda is $1.00 a can!! The food prices are high so try to get a package with free breakfast buffet and take a drive down the street to the little town of Haliewa they have a few restaurants that are much cheaper. Make sure you snorkle in the cove, they have masks, snorkles, and flippers available on the beach and your first hour is free. Overall the experience was great the beaches were beautiful ane we were very pleased. FYI skip the friday luau, it's $50.00 a piece for tickets and the show only last for 30 min!!!

| Turtle bay is a destination for those seeking tranquility, peace, and relaxation. If you trully love the person you are traveling with and feel no need to be bothered by crowds this is the place for you. You can snorkel and surf outside of the hotel - depending on weather conditions. If you are looking for a cookie-cutter hotel with heated pools, night clubs, NYC/LA action head to Wikiki. If you want the opportunity to learn about true Hawaii, the North Shore is the place to go. The North Shore offers surfing, hiking, snorkeling, tide pool gazing, and access to the more remote beaches (i.e. to watch surfing). The staff was friendly and curteous suggesting safe locations to surf for beginners.

This was a turn off from the moment we arrived. The only thing the made the trip worthwhile was the view and surroundings. There are so many things to explore. Ola grill at the beach was excellent food...and kid friendly. Lei Lei's was nice also. Prices very reasonable at the hotel breakfast buffet compared to Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki. Great place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of Waikiki beach.

Not much decoration and the housekeeping could do a better job of cleaning (the wicker ice bucket had dust layered on top). It also would have been nice if I could have had internet access in my room, instead of going to the computer room.

With two pools, a rock pool slide, two hot tubs, small toddler pool, one cove on one side of the hotel with waves, one cove on the other side of the hotel for swimming, snorkling (coral reefs), etc., left this traveler with many many options. The golf courses as well as many dining options meant that we didn't have to leave the resort if we didn't want to. I should also mention the excellent ocean views from the lobby, each room, poolside and while dining. You can actually see the sunrise and sunset from each side of the hotel.

| We chose the end of March to visit Hawaii believing the weather would be warm. Unfortunately the weather was chilly and rainy. However we found out the other side of the island had worse weather and more rain, so we were actually lucky to have selected this Kahuku area where we got sunny weather on days that were forecast as raining. Despite the weather, though, we enjoyed our stay here primarily because the staff was so sincerely friendly and helpful. This included all Turtle Bay Resort staff including the hotel cleaning ladies, the waiters and waitresses, the bartenders, store cashiers, towel handlers, hosts and hostesses, bag handlers, front desk clerks and concierge. May they all get raises because they deserve it!

When, expressing our concern to managment at the hotel, we received no sympathy. They didn't even ask our names or room number to follow up and make sure we were okay. I would have expected more from Turtle Bay. The housekeeping staff showed more concern for my family than management at the hotel. I would never consider staying there again. There was construction going on at the hotel which was pretty invasive. Not a nice experience.

| The hotel itself was great -- it was the location that wasn't so great for us. We stayed 10 days, which meant we ran out of things to do nearby within just a few days. Pretty much all nightlife is in Waikiki, which is just a little over an hour drive away. Also, during early January at least, North Shore is very windy; and for whatever reason, other parts of the island are not. Makes it hard to sit at the pool when your Mai Tai keeps blowing over. An upshot, Turtle Bay's Mai Tai's are great -- no more than three however in any one sitting. You'll still have a great time at Turtle Bay, but you may want to plan on doing quite a bit of traveling across the island if you're interested in great restaurants and nightlife.

Get to feel the breeze and enjoy drinks, perfect. Then the seaside massage was so relaxing. Try it out. Buffets were great. Location is excellent. Away from busy Waikiki area. Anyways, checkout was great. We had a descrepency with our vallet fees, no problem. They corrected with no bias. I love them! I enjoyed the musical duet they had playing in the lobby during the day. Also, the gentlemen singing during our buffet Sunday, he was really good. The two parrots in the lobby, loud but a beautiful pair they were.
