| This was the second hotel we stayed in in Rome and wasn't our favorite. The staff was friendly but not very helpful. The included breakfast is about par for the course. The room was small and the shower had temp. fluctuations. I'd say it's more of a two and a half to three star place. On the plus side, it's location is awesome and is in walking distance to everything worth seeing in Rome. That alone made up for a lot of the other shortcomings. We found the reviews written about this hotel to be pretty accurate so read them all and you won't have any surprises.

| This hotel is a real hidden gem; from the street you cannot appreciate its inner beauty and quality. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is right in the center of the Roman ruins and you can walk everwhere. Our room (large superior) was clean and has a nice view. The breakfast was a great way to start the day. The hotel can arrange for a taxi to take you back to the airport for 50 Euro - definately worth it and they charge it to your hotel bill.

| The staff was outstanding and could not be more helpful in all aspects of our stay. Great breakfast, close to everything, right on a bus route if you wanted to use that form of transportation and would stay there again. The only downside was the size of the room, very small with limited space for our clothing. Shower was great. Go to Mario's for dinner, outstanding and reasonable.

| Although the hotel is clean and in a very good location, for the price of the hotel, two things bothered our family. First, the shower was aweful; the water temp. had extreme fluctuations. Secondly, the tour company they referred us to overbooked our tour to the Vatican so our guide tried to speak 3 languages all at once which was irritating and ineffective. We registered our complaint but there was no compensation made.

| For the location and quality, this hotel was a perfect place to serve as headquarters for my recent trip to Rome. I can't speak for every room, but I know that mine had recently renovated floors and windows and a new bathroom. It was quiet and clean, yet had beautiful views out onto a bustling Roman street, complete with our own shutters. The free breakfast provided is nothing special, but it gets the job done. I'd certainly reccomend anyone taking a trip to Rome to consider staying at Hotel Cosmopolita.

| A very satisfactory complimentary breakfast got us off to a good start. Central location meant that we could make meaningful walks to a large number of sights, museums, churches, etc without knowing the public transportation system. The bus to the Vatican or Terminal was about 1/2 block away. One metro ticket got us all the way to Ostia Antica via the Coloso metro stop and the rail train to Ostia. The hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant at all times. They told us which bus or metro to take to get to our destinations. For a real Roman pizza I'd recommend the "Al Picchio" down the street from the nearby Trevi Fountain. Highly Recommended!!

| This hotel was very pleasant and clean. The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful when giving directions and making suggestions for places to visit and eat. The breakfasts were adequate - not great but edible. The bed was on the firm side but was o.k. The value was excellent for the money spent - we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would recommend it without reservation to others.

| This was a return trip to Rome and once again I chose the Cosmopolita and made all reservations using Expedia to book flights/hotel. It could not have been easier even for a novice, like me. The location of the Cosmopolita cannot be beat and the staff at the hotel was kind and efficient from start to finish. We stayed in a superior room and the room was spotless and plenty of room for European standards. The staff at the hotel goes out of their way to please. Nice buffet breakfast (many choices) and great cappuccino. Wonderful rooftop to see the city from (at night it is beautiful) and a limited menu drinks/food. We enjoyed one night on the roof top after a long day of site seeing. Expedia was there to answer all questions and I felt that it was the "best buy". (air and hotel) I shopped other sites and came back to Expedia. Great trip and hope you enjoy Rome. Ciao!

| The hotel was in a great location within walking distance to most attractions. Great bus service in front of hotel. It was a 10 minute bus ride to the Vatican. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. The only drawback was that the room didn't seem to get real cool even with the air conditioning on. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay there.

| The location of this hotel couldn't be better! 5 minute walk to the Colliseum, 1 minute walk to Piazza Venezia. We walked everywhere! A good neighborhood to lose yourself in! AC was good. The room, while small, was neat and suited us fine. Elevator worked. TV with a few English speaking stations. No complaints & we'd stay there again. We used the wireless access daily, available in the lobby and the roof, but not from your room. A few sidenotes... The roof, while nice, is overrated... the barman played loud American music nonstop up there keeping the roof empty of patrons. A hearty breakfast every morning (American music there too, a disappointment). The front desk sent all the guests to the same dumpy little restaurant so we learned not to ask for recommendations but just find our own restaurants.

| If you want to find a hotel which is close to everything worth to see in Rome, choose this one. The location is simply perfect, the rooms are really small, but clean and enough if you just want to sleep there. The only thing which was disturbing that the walls are so thin you could hear every steps in the corridor and every breath in the neighbourhood.

| Hotel is expensive but doesn't provide the expected level of service, although the included breakfast is good. The tour they booked for us for the Msei Vaticani was horrendous. The room was facing the busy street and was very noisy 20 hours a day. The lamp in the room was loosely attached to the ceiling and as the buses were passing by outside the lamp trembled and woke us up throughout the night. When asked to fix it the porter replied that the maintanence will arrive on Monday (a day after we leave).

| The hotel was in very close proximity to most of the sites that we wanted to see in Rome. Very easy walking distance to the Pantheon, Collesium, Forums and other archeological sites. Our room was a triple as we had our daughter with us. Twin size beds for all. We were next door to the roof top terrace which we took full advantage. We had to park our rental car quite a few blocks away in a parking garage. I paid for the parking at the garage when I picked up the car to load our suitcases. I found out that the parking was handled through the hotel when I checked out and should have paid at the hotel. It wasn't any problem as a quick call by the desk to the parking garage took care of that. Parking cost was 35 euro per night. Not exactly inexpensive.

| We were so pleased with this hotel. It was right around the corner from all the major sites in Ancient Rome. We were able to walk everywhere and never had to worry about a bus or taxi. The roof top bar has great views and was never crowded. We would recommend this hotel to everyone! I don't think you would be unhappy with your stay at this hotel.

| Never having traveled abroad, I did not know quite what to expect, but the Cosmopolita, tucked away on a quaint side street near the Piazza Venezia, was a wonderful find!! High ceilings, lare windows to look out of, lots of old world charm and just the nicest breakfast room you could ever imagine. Every morning there was a "soup to nuts" breakfast! Much more than I every expected for a breakfast included package. I can't wait to go back to Rome and I will certainly stay at the Cosmopolita! Ciao!

| The location of this hotel is incredible. But, the rooms were disappointing with the exception of the shower. Due to many people going to see the Pope we had a very early morning (3:30 A.M.) train ride from Venice. This was the only train we could get a ticket for. When we arrived at the hotel at 10 A.M. we acknowledged our early arrival and asked for consideration in getting into our room earlier than the 1:00 P.M. check in time. We practically were yelled at by the desk clerk for asking. The manager did intervene at our request and we got a room fairly quick after getting him involved. We felt answering any of our questions was a chore for some of the desk personnel. Some were simply not nice. A little more kindness and our rating would have been higher.

| This little hotel is a gem. The rooms are as small as one would expect in Europe but the decor was pleasant and clean. The bathrooms were larger than I had read on other reviews so we weren't disappointed. The staff is extremely helpful and willing to do most anything to accomodate the guests - from a gratis crack-of-dawn espresso, extra pillows or calling a cab! Location could not be beat for seeing all the sights in Rome. Convenient and within walking distance of everything. We only went to the breakfast a couple mornings but there was always fresh breads, cheeses, meats, eggs and fresh juices - not bad for a free meal!
