| The room was a good size and the beds were quite comfortable. I had heard that this hotel was noisy due to the club downstairs, but I had no issues with that and was only on the 6th floor. Parking was my only negative experience; see traveler's tip.

| This was a nice place to stay overall. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, although we did get a call at 3:30 AM telling us to come pick up our pizza at the front desk-we hadn't ordered one! This was a large convention hotel, though; in fact, it had two sides joined by a walkway, as well as several meeting rooms and an underground office/shopping area (closed when we were there). During our weekend, there were several meetings, a teachers' convention, and a wedding at the hotel while we were there, meaning they do a lot of business. The rooms were clean, but bathroom was small. Hotel itself was a victim of the 70's hotel decorating, and could use some sprucing up. The mini bar charges if you even move something in it-discourages storing your own leftovers, sodas, etc., a policy I didn't agree with. Great location, though, and not too noisy, considering how many people were staying there. Food was awesome, and room service was the best and fastest I'd ever seen.

| The hotel was beautiful, comfortable, and near the magnificent mile. It had a couple restaurants and a bar as well as room service. Service in general was great with the exceptional of the parking staff. A friend of ours stopped by just to leave us a package at the desk. They were fast and friendly about getting it to us eventhough it was locked up for the night. The parking attendants, however, gave our friend a hard time about parking in the lot right in front of the building. He demanded her keys. She insisted it would just be a few minutes, so he said he would wait 20 minutes before he would park it in the garage (which cost 16.50 for one hour). When she came out well within the 20 minutes, her car was gone. So not only did they go ahead and park in there, but she also had to wait quite a while to get her car back. I am still waiting to see if I get a parking fee on my bill for that. Aside from that one incident, our stay was wonderful! I would stay there again.

| The non-smoking room we were given clearly had been smoked in. There was a large cigarette burn on the carpet and as soon as we walked in it was obvious that someone had done some serious smoking there. They should install smoke alarms to avoid having people do that.

| Hotel is right on the river, near Michigan Ave. and Navy Pier (two must sees). Staff very friendly and accomodating. Buffet breakfast was very good, but omelete line was long and slow. Only big downer was our non-smoking room smelled like smoke. Not much the hotel can do. Smokers just need to be considerate and not smoke in non-smoking rooms.

| The Hyatt Regency Chicago is a superb hotel in the center of numerous attractions. From the soothing water feature in the lobby to the luxerious bedding in the room, the hotel made me feel as though I were the most important person in the world. The personnel were friendly, helpful, and eager to be of service. I will undoubtably choose this hotel again the next time I visit Chicago!!

| If you are looking for a nice, quiet place to say, this is definitely not the place. This is a great centrally located hotel that while great for business needs downtown, primarily caters to large groups and conventions. The main lobby which is open to the bar/nightclub is a bustling noisy place that goes until the early hours. Because of the large groups that regularly arrive there check in/check out lines can be long. On more than one occasion they have not had the type of room I requested available and I have had to settle for two doubles instead of king. This happened to all three members of my party this time. I am beginning to wonder if they intentionally oversell king rooms to get the reservations and then just "deal with it" at check in when you have waited in a long line to check in, are tired and just want to get to your room. The sleeping rooms are well isolated from the noise and are nicely done and quite comfortable. Access to floors with rooms is key controlled after 9:30 PM so the hotel visitors aren't going to be wandering around your floor at 3AM. One nice touch is the fact that they have radiant heat and cooling so the rooms are relatively quiet and don't have that annoyingly loud hvac blower fan cycling all through the night.

| The customer service was ok but then it had some quite strange rules. Every room has a fridge on it but only for the stuff in the mini-bar it cannot be used by the client independtly which I thought it wasnt very wise. At night there is party in the lobby until 4 AM which is good but the style of the disco downstairs is kind of cheap. In any case you dont hear any noise from downstairs in the rooms.

| This was my second stay at this Hyatt, and I would definately stay there again. I booked a flight and hotel with Expedia and the price for the Hyatt was actually one of the lowest prices for a nice hotel actually "in" Chicago. We walked to the Sears Tower, Grant Park, Navy Pier, Hancock Building and Hard Rock Cafe'. We did get our exercise during some of the walks but it is able to be done. Taxis are readily available at the hotel enterance, if you prefer that. The hotel's main bar is always hopping in the evenings and the staff were all very friendly.

| Room was small, inadequate ventilation...woke up really tired mornings. No windows (all sealed window panels) to crack open for fresh air. The air from their A/C is recirculated and stale. Noise from other rooms carried through easily. Some youngsters were partying all Saturday night next door. Good hotel location...very close to Michigan Ave. shopping, river and lake.

| The bed was extremely comfortable, a very good night rest after a very long day of walking and sightseeing. It's close to Michigan Av which is always a plus. The only thing is that the hotel works as a convention center so you will always find a lot of people. In my case, there was a Red Sox convention. At night, there was even a line to get in the elevator. Fortunately my room was in the 6th floor so I took the stairs. But overall, I had a really, really good night sleep.

| The only negative that I had for this hotel was the USD $39/day for parking!!! That is a more than what some other hotels were charging, it should be cheaper specially if you are leaving the car in the garage the whole time. You are so close to everything we walked everywhere. A pleasant surprise was having a night club in the lobby on friday & saturday nights at cost of $5 if you are staying in the hotel. Overall I'd highly recommend it, there was nothing really to complain about besidest the parking rate!

| Not a bad place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. We were able to check in early without a problem. There's a few different bars and a club all attached and the dance club seemed to really get going around midnight. The only downsides were the lack of a pool and the fact that the bottom sheets weren't tucked in under the mattress.

They were having trouble with their heating and cooling system and our room was very hot and uncomfortable. We called down twice to have someone open the window and no one ever came. The best they did was apologize to us. They did upgrade to a junior suite for free which was great when we checked in. We'll visit there again as long as they have fixed their cooling system.
