The room didn't impress me any more then some of the cheaper hotels I've been in that cost a lot less. The chair just felt dirty, no wireless internet connection unless you go up to the restaurant. I stayed two nights, when the room was cleaned the first day, they took the dirty towels and didn't replace them. I called the front desk to get more towels, they said they'd be right up. Never did get them. I couldn't do the final checkout because their computers where down. A channel guide for the tv would've been nice, and I never did find the 'do not disturb' tag things for my door. I guess it wasn't all bad. It took a while for the hotel shuttle to come back by the hotel, but it got me where I was going really quick, and pickup was easy too.

The front desk clerk was rude, we waited at least 45 minutes every time we wanted to take the shuttle anywhere, housekeeping was a joke we had to remake our beds every night where the maid had only straightened the covers, only 5 TV channels and when a rain storm came through we lost those.

Although this hotel is older, the rooms we not bad,for a last minute purchase with childen. Trying to find a hotel with a pool downtown last minute can be difficult. However, the service was horrible!! The front desk attendants were rude, never smiled and acted like they were being bothered with our check in. Our two room reservation was lost, and when i produced our confermation print out of purchase, the clerk rolled her eyes and frowned during the enire process. I would not and will not reccomend this hotel. Too old, worn and unfriendly!

We stayed in this hotel to see the Ducks sweep the home town Avalanche. It was great! FREE shuttle to and from the Pepsi Center. The hotel makes you feel at home - very cozy! Awesome staff...Rooms are old and the hallways smell of stale smoke. But who cares. This is definantly the place to stay if you are not a baller..

Overall the Red Lion is a good quality hotel and has a good resturant on the top floor with a reasonably priced menu. They also provide a free shuttle bus service to downtown and back to your hotel which is very convenient. On the downside it can be very noisy at night due to the sound of the Amtrak train horns going off on a regular basis. Also, the room air conditioning wasn't working so my room was way too hot.

My family and I were very satisfied with this hotel. It's not a luxury hotel and it is a little old/worn in areas, but the staff was great, the location was good (right off of the highway, easy to get to pretty much everything), and the room was clean and fairly comfortable. The free shuttle was a nice feature and the bar/restaurant on the top floor had pretty decent food. It was nice having the free parking, too. I probably would've been disappointed if I had paid full price for our room but, with the deal from Expedia, I feel like it was worth it.

We were fairly satisfied with our experience. They had a free shuttle to take you to local attractions in a three mile radius which was convenient. However one evening we called for the shuttle and they said it would be 10-15 minutes. After almost an hour we called again and 15 minutes later the shuttle showed up. That is ridiculous when we were 10 minutes from the hotel.

We were happy with our night stay at this hotel. The location is right next to Mile High Stadium and the amusement park, not really within walking distance to anything else, but there is easy access to the highway. We checked out the restaurant/sports bar on the top floor for breakfast, but it smelled like smoke (maybe from the night before?) so we didn't stay. The hotel also provided us with a crib for our toddler as requested.

This is an older hotel, but I had absolutely no problem with the staff or room. If going to a Broncos game, you couldn't be any closer... didn't have a chance to take advantage of the shuttle to downtown, but downtown is just a 5-minute drive away. Very convenient to highway. My only disappointment was the "sports" bar at the top of the hotel. Long story short, if you want to watch a game that DOESN'T involve a Denver team, you may not be able to watch it in this "sports" bar.

The hotel offers a free shuttle into anywhere in the city longest I waited for it was 25 minutes and that was because there was a sporting event that night. The staff and shuttle driver was VERY helpful if they couldnt answer my questions they always found someone that could. Room was always cleaned newspaper at my door every morning. Good food and great view at the restaurant at the top of the hotel. I will return.

The hotel lives up to it's rating. Not fancy, but price is reasonable since it's close to downtown. There's smoke in the 14th floor restaurant...not a place where I want to be. We found that it was more attractive to eat somewhere else. The free shuttle is a key feature. (Walking to the downtown area is a daylight option, since you need to walk in a dark railyard or river trail at night.)

First room we were assigned to on the 7th floor smelled of cleaning chemicals and light switch by enty did not work. We were assigned to another room on the 12th floor that was supposed to be non-smoking, yet had the smell of stale smoke. Room was constantly too warm to where we were forced to turn off air circulation (a/c blew hot air only) and leave window open (which had no screen) allowing bugs and noise in. Change of bath towels were left in a bag in front of room door! Bar & restaurant on 14th floor reeked of smoke. Taxi services should have been more readily available to guests.

The hotel is right next to the stadium so if your there for football this is defintely the best pick in the city. You can just walk a few yards into the game. The food was great in the 14th floor resturant. If your looking for a pool for kids though it is small.

The shuttle drivers are so quick to take and pick you up. This hotel is very close to Invesco Field-we walked over to watch the High School Championship Game and we enjoyed a great fireworks display from our window. Room service was very quick and got our order correct-even though we made several different orders and changes-all food ordered was on the tray and everything was hot!!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean but could use some updating, especially the windows. Other than the traffic noise the city view room was great. I'm always a bit suspicious about those round hotels but this one was great. It looks as if it has been recently refurbished. No frills, but decent-sized rooms, comfy beds, friendly staff. I was there 4 nights, and when I checked in, the clerk told me that she would be me on the "quiet side" of the hotel since my stay was longer than average. Might be something to request, as the hotel overlooks the interstate. Got a great rate for downtown Denver -- probably helps to be staying during a time when there's no Bronco's game. The restaurant/bar on the top floor was hopping during the weekend and the food was pretty good.

To me a hotel is just a place to sleep. So clean, comfortable, and a reasonable price are my concerns. Compared to the price of other Downtown Denver hotels, Red Lion is a great deal. They also have a free local shuttle service, which I took advantage of for travel to the nearby Colorado Convention Center. Don't expect a 4-star hotel. In fact, in barely qualifies for 3 stars. But it is a decent, economical place to stay.
