All rooms face the bay and have great views. Rooms have central air and we loved the fact that every room is like a little apartment with a living room, and a kitchen. The front desk has a computer with courtesy internet access as well as many brochures and driving directions to local attractions. A rental car is a must because everything is about 15min. away, but well worth it.

The floors in the rooms are so filthy dirty our feet were black! It's bad enough taking a shower in a hotel but when you have other peoples hair in their with you, it's even worse. I won't go into futher detail about the toenail clippings on the bedroom floor either. Tried using their shuttle, what a joke. I don't think any of the people at the desk knew how to coordinate a pick up or delivery with the one van they offer. Also doesn't start until 7am so we still needed a taxi to get to the airport. Beds were comfortable and the pool area was very nice, that's about the only plus for the hotel.

This condo on the bay has some good points in the view of the bay, a nice kitchen in the room and a nice pool but after that I would'nt recomend it. First you have to drive everywhere you go and the traffic was horrible. Daily room maintence was nill to none. Also they would not leave enough towels and you had to call the front desk to get every thing they should have had in the room anyway. On a scale from one to ten it's a 2.

Had to ask for extra towels, which they did not want to give us. Very small rooms. Decaf coffee and no filters for coffee maker. Refrigerator did not get cold enough. One elevator at the end of a very long hall way. No hot tub or jacuzzi and pool was too small with no to few lounges and towels. Not located to enough restaurants or night life.

The hotel was decent. The beds were made each day and clean towels replaced but that was about the extent of maid service. The room was damp smelling and beds were not very comfortable and there is no swimming beach but there is a wonderful beach nearby at Clearwater. All in all, not a bad experience. Staff was friendly and helpful with directions and wake up calls.

We got the standard room and didn't realize that bunkbeds would automatically be included. Little ones love them. Rooms were small but cozy and the kitchen didn't have all of the needed items (like paper towels or more than one frying pan). Still saved us money on breakfast out. Hotel wasn't very far from several restaurants but it was a bit farther than expected to the gym. Overall very nice.

We stayed one night at this hotel. The rooms are like apartments, with bedrooms, bathrooms, living room/kitchen, balcony. The decor was appealing, the beds were uncomfortable. The people in the room next door were noisy, the walls seemed paper thin. The water pressure was poor in the showers. The staff was reasonablly nice. The views of the sunset were very nice. Hotel seemed setup for longer term stays.

Easy check-in and check-out. Great view overlooking Tampa Bay and location was perfect; close to airport. But, entire room had an overwhelming unpleasant odor and stuffiness to it. Stains on bedspreads. "Smoking" room, that I had not requested. Even couch not very comfortable. Unable to get comfortable or sleep well. Bunk beds available but, I am not sure I would want my children sleeping in them. They were very old looking, smelled musty, poorly vented, and were located in hallway of suite.

This was one of the worst hotel in States after 10 trips to States and after approximately after 50 hotels. The maintanence of hotel was so poor. Here are some examples. No beds done for first night. After toilet and kleenex-papers (was only 3 piece in start) was finished after first night- those was not changed before we ask. The carpet was dirty specially for some part. The carparking under the hotel was in bad shape-lots of oil leaks .. Not nice when unpacking car. Service when we came in was bad. One person in front, which answered phones and ignores customer, who had been standing there over 5 minutes. ... Do you want hear more - no I quess. And also safety-side was not well taken care. there was on the other end the door, which told in sign that it will be closed for 8pm-6am, but door was broken, and it couldn't be closed at all. ... This was really the first and last time as I also told to manager when leaving. Travelers from Finland.

Simply put, a perfect short stay. Very clean rooms and public spaces. The kitchen and suite were perfect. Great convenience being just a 6 minute drive from the airport. You'd never know it. I never saw or heard a plane. Beautiful views of the bay. Nice tennis court and small beach. The beds could have been more comfortable, but for the price, it was clearly a great deal, and a great surprise. It's not too far from the Gulf beaches: 30-40 minutes. The Bay is beautiful. My wife and I would go back in a second.

Although this hotel is geared for vacationers it was very pleasant for this frequent business traveller. Instead of sitting on a bed watching reruns I could sit on my balcony, enjoy the view of Tampa Bay, typing on my computer using their cordless internet service, and have leftovers for breakfast in the kitchenette. The only down-side was that cell phones only worked on the balcony.

First of all, they did not have my Expedia reservation on file, had to straighten out that mess when I got home (as I was charged twice for the room). The bed was extremely creaky as the headboard seemed like it was about to come off at any time. The ice maker in the freezer was not working and there were no other ice machines in the building.

Hotel is within 10 miles of Tampa airport, but no airplane noise. Rooms are big enough but look like they haven't been painted or updated in 10 years. The rugs in the rooms and hall were disgusting. The continental breakfast was actually Bages, donuts & coffee from 6:30-8:30. Rooms were quiet, did not hear hall or other room sounds. Staff was pleasant but overworked. Rooms were not cleaned until 5PM. Small beach but you can't swim there, pool is heated. Fine place if you are looking to save $$ and can forego the frills.

Hotel was very comfy... sort of like haveing an apartment, Room service was prompt... You do need to rent a car to get around although there is a shuttle that will take you anywhere w/i 5 miles... shuttle not always running on time... House keeping was wonderful, management wasa very short and didn't seem like they were willing to help their guests... had an accident while in Tampa and needed a ride back to the hotel at about 9:30pm shuttle stops at 10pm, when i called i was told to walk back, didn't even ask if i was ok... So overall hotel was great but don't count on the desk to help you out if you ever run into some trouble and your from out of town.

This hotel overlooked Tampa Bay from all angles. All units are suites. The bedroom was a bit small but who cares since you're just sleeping in it and the rest of it was very roomy. There is no activity close to the hotel except 2 restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend the Rusty Pelican. The hotel offers a small mini store but, since the suites have full kitchens, they don't have too many cleaning supplies for the kitchen, i.e., scouring pads for the pots and pans so be sure to bring one if you plan on cooking. I would stay there again but NOT if I don't have a rental car. The suite was clean but needed a little maintenance, light bulbs were burnt out and I think all those things should be checked by housekeeping before the room is occupied.
