Nice hotel and staff. No real complaints other then we never got an extra bath towel we called about on our last day there. That said, it wasn't a big issue and everything else was top-notch. I would highly recommend this hotel. :)

I loved everything about the hotel - from the cafe to the pool. The only problem that I had is that I'm a light sleeper and the air conditioner kept me up most nights. I have and will refer family and friends to the Tahitian.

This hotel was so convenient. When traveling cross country, it gets tiresome. But staying at this hotel cut our airport/hotel travel and hotel/dock travel in half. It was toooooo easy. Also, their dining menu was very nice.

Great hotel, great personnel, wonderful place to stay. Only two complaints, the carpets were dirty and you could not get a "meal" until after 8pm. You could order off the menu, earlier in the evening, but not a full meal. Would go back again.

we stayed here for one night, waiting to board our cruiseship for our honeymoon! It was a nice place, and seemed to be a safe place. We didn't have time to try out the spa, pool, or restaurant. It is much more like a motel, with two levels and outside room entrances and parking, which was unexpected (from looking at the website). But overall, we were pleased with our choice! It was in a good location, as we could walk to shopping and good restaurants!

My wife and I stayed in this hotel after a cruise and we were very disappointed. The room was not the cleanest and there were a lot of bugs either in the bathtub or in the appliances in the room. Further, the weather in Tampa was a little cool and the temperature in the room plummeted over night. In the morning you could see light from outside coming in underneath the hotel room door as well as through a huge space beside the air conditioner. We were so disappointed we bit the bullet and change our flights to leave Tampa early. I will not stay here again. I have no idea how this hotel achieved the rating Expedia gave it.

We stayed at this hotel before leaving on our cruise out of Tampa. We didn't want to stay at an expensive hotel. It was an older hotel, but very quaint & clean. We were very comfortable. Nice pool and excercise room. It also had a lovely spa. It was in a great location. It was close to lots of resturant & shopping. It was quite a bargin! We definately would recommend to others.

We had a good time in Tampa, the Tahitian Inn is a lovely little hotel. It doesn't look like much from the out side, but the lobby area is beautiful. The room its self is cute, the bathrrom was the best part. It was an older building, but you can tell it's had recent face lift. The staff is very nice and helpful, but the bar staff could have been dressed more professionally. It was all jeans and T-Shirts. But overall a great place for an over night stay.

The outside looks so pretty and the lobby even looks nice, but the fact that the restaraunt closes at some insanely early time like 8pm, they appeared severely understaffed, there was no elevator to get you up to your room so you end up hauling all your luggage up stairs, and pretty much NOTHING in my hotel room worked (the lamp, the TV remote, the bathtub drain-stopper), I would not return to this hotel. The gal at the front desk was helpful, yet severely stressed due to the long line and the fact that she had no help. The room was clean, but dumpy and honestly, I just couldn't wait to check out and be out of there.

The Tahitian was a great place to stop for a day or 2 before our cruise departure. Convenient location to air and sea port. Perfectly cozy pool to relax with a few drinks. While the rooms were very basic, the staff was exceptionally nice. We would stop here again.

While the room - garden view room - was simply a standard motel type room we found it very clean and well equipped. Very nice pool area and great cafe/coffee shop with a very attractive outdoor seating area. I'd recommend it to others and be happy to stay there again.

The Spa services at the hotel were excellent. The rooms, however, were average at best. The same as any other hotel. We stayed in the Standard room. I have no information on the upgraded rooms. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel bar and restaraunt was only open until 8 p.m., which was disappointing.

Hotel had some very nice staff and the main building and grounds were extremely charming, but the rooms lacked any charm and weren't very clean. The hotel also allows pets and I had the joy of listening to a dog in the room next door barking for 5 hours straight. The staff had no sense of urgency in fixing the problem.

There is a big difference between the new rooms and the updated rooms. The new ones are very nice, but are generally more than the standard rooms. The existing rooms are clean and "O.K" as well.

My room was ready and clean before checkin and I checked out early but my flight was cancelled. So at 6:00am I was able to get the same room clean and ready. Every employee was very courtious and helpful in terms of directions. If you do decide to stay here try the heated pool! p.s the french toast breakfast is the best in town!!!
