Lots to do with Tennis Courts, Ping Pong, Game Room, Shuffle Board, Pools, Hot Tubs, and Cabana Bar on the Beach. Bartenders were wonderful! Very Knowledgable for area restaurants and tourist sites to visit. Great Location on the beach with several clubs and restaurants within walking distance. Pools and Hot Tubs were nice and not too crowded. Would have like to be able to view ocean from pool top, but is located further back. Best all around resort we've vacationed at since we got married! Would definitely stand by a recommendation to stay there for anyone else's visit to St. Pete Beach!

As a party of 5, accomodations can sometimes get sticky. We had plenty of room for 5 people to sleep, store our lugguage, dine and watch television. The linens were good quality and the housekeeping service was very good. Another elevator in the Nassau would be great since we were on the 5th floor, but the waits were never too long. Grounds were clean, parking was no problem, access to the beach great and the staff was all very accomodating and friendly. I would recommend the Alden Beach Resort to anyone without reservation.

Great view! We stayed in the Beachfront Lanai and the playground was great for our 3 year old. The heated pools were very warm adn clean. We really liked the brand new Weber Gas Grills that we could barbeque on! If we go back to St Petersburg, this is where we would stay again!

It was our first trip to the area and was very pleased by all they had to offer. No restaurant but you can walk or take the trolley to anywhere you'd like. It was clean, the staff was very friendly and the service was great. All pools were clean and well kept, as well as being able to take a few steps to the beach. No surprises. Try the Japanese restaurant in the mall down the street and Publix Market for pastries. Larry's Ice Cream was closed. Great stay-Thank you!

The mattresses were soft and lumpy and really uncomfortable. Housekeeping was very slow. Most days we did not have room cleaned or fresh towels until after 4:00 p.m. The outdoor area was great. The pools were nice and the grounds were well maintained, but the rooms seem to need some work.

This hotel was everything I expected. Location and view were very awesome (Lanai Suite). The pool was clean and warm. The hot tub was great also. It was nice to have an on site laundry, by the pool area-convenient. We loved the beach- the kids were constantly entertained, and asleep very early! The boys played with some other boys that were staying in the hotel and just loved every minute! The kitchette was nice- easy for lunch and breakfast. We also used the grill on the patio-nice! And if you are able take the stairs it is faster than the elevator and hey you get some exercise, we were in room 431. The beds in the room were a little uncomfortable, but of course I was stuck with my 2 boys in the bed next to my husband and I, and they all snore or make some noise-so I went to fold out sofa..AGGHHH the infamous bar in your back- I did manage to get in a position to avoid it and slept well. The next night I took mattress out of sofa and on floor..It was okay, but I heard no snoring- so it worked for me!! There was this very annoying humming noise coming from the air condition unit, which in addition to the beds kept my husband awake-this was probably the worst issue(mainly his issue although it was annoying and I did tell desk person on check out)-I had no issues at all. I loved it and would go back in a heartbeat.

I was extremely pleased with the hotel. We loved our room (Lanai suite) & loved that is was so close to the beach. I checked out other hotels along the beach & they didn't have the great access & closeness like the Alden does. Everything was so clean & the staff was very friendly & seemed sincere. The room was just perfect & we had everything we needed & if we didn't we called housekeeping & they were there FAST! The landscaping was beautiful & the pools & jacuzzis were great. I was on vacation with my mom who is handicapped & she had no problem getting around & loved sitting on the patio listening to the ocean. The parking was great also. This is definately a place I'm bringing my family back to & I've told many others they need to stay here if they're going to St. Petersburg. My only complaint was that 2 lights in the corridor to our room didn't always come on & we could have used more hangers...but I didn't ask & probably would have got some if I did.

We had the best room, ground floor, right next to the Cabana Bar (open, outdoor bar),volleyball on the white sand beach with the ocean right in front of that---gorgeous view! Then, right behind us, one of the swimming pools and hot tubs, too! There is no restaurant at the Alden, but many within walking distance. Bongo's is next door on the beach- good food, fun! Also, they have outdoor grills in a central location (by the other hot tub). We bought our own burgers, brats and all the fixings at a nearby grocery store. My husband grilled and we had a picnic. The suites have a kitchenette too, so you can keep your own drinks and food right there! Convenient and saves some money.

We were thrilled with our stay at the Alden Beach Resort. We stayed in a Nassau suite with a view overlooking one of the pools and the nicely-manicured grounds. We could also see the beach. The staff was friendly, the rooms and resort were clean and updated, the grounds were lovely, and the pools were warm. They also catered to families with an outdoor play area, toys we borrowed for the beach, and again, warm swimming pools. We plan on going back to the Alden Beach next spring!

We stayed 6 nights and were extremely pleased by the warm pool water and the nice beach, which adjoins the property. Our kids are 2 and 4 and they stayed most of the day in the pool or pool area, if not doing their nap. One day it was cloudy and windy, a little bit chilly on the beach, so we used the hot tub. We had a ground floor room with kitchenette, which was very close to the pool. We got our groceries from the supermarket, which is only a few minutes down the road, but you'll need a car for that. There are several restaurants in walking distance, including a sub place and an italian retaurant. We didn't do any of the attractions in the Tampa area, because they are at least 40 min (Busch Gardens) away. The beds are to soft, however most beds are for my expectations, as I sleep on an XXF at home. All in all it was a pleasant vacation and we can undoubtedly recommend it for other travellers, which have normal expectations.
