Good for the price we paid but can deffinately tell it's been around for a while. Front desk did as little as possible when we checked in. Didn't bother to tell us the fireworks were on Saturday instead of Tuesday so we missed the show because we went sight seeing. On the water though and the price was right. Good if it's the cheepest price, which is was for us.

The overall hotel was fine until we arrived back at the hotel with our boat after a day at the river...mind you it was 107 outside and we were hot and tired..we were told that the new owner requires the parking lot across the street to fill up with trailers prior to the one that is near the front enterance. HELLO!! First come first serve...this was terrible customer service. Also the girl at the Dryers ice cream counter was rude and they didn't know how serve ice cream in a cone...only a cup!! We will stay elsewhere for the rest of the summer.

The staff at reception is very slow. Checking in took 1/2 hr with only two people in line and three staff members working. Check out took longer just to turn in the key. We were put in an ajoining room, but not with our other party, with a young couple who's 2 year old screamed all night. The next night the party crowd were in there. Make sure you don't get a room with an ajoining door. The pool was freezing cold. The hotel ran out of pool towels, but did allow us to use our room towels. The buffet is one of the best in Laughlin with free beer and wine at lunch and dinner.

Was very dissatisfied with the room we were given for the following reasons: Upon checking in we were assigned room # 8-1058. The carpet was very stained and dirty looking, waste baskets had residue in them and mirrors in bathroom were spotted and had not been properly cleaned. Other than these deficiencies the rest of the hotel/casino was to our liking. In retrospect the wife and I should have went back to the check-in center and voiced our displeasures and asked for other accomodations. But we didnt and that was our shortcoming.

I was not happy with the room. We were four people in a room with two full beds. When I asked if I could upgrade my room they said "sure, would you like a suite"? I said yes and they said "we don't have one". Then why ask, I thought. I just felt that they were rude and lacking of customer service skills. I feel that they could have been a little more accomodating. I was willing to pay the extra for the upgrade.

Hotel was adequate for our needs. I selected it also because they had a small workout area which fit our lifestyle. They do not have some of the amenities that other resort hotels have like coffee pot, iron, etc, but we did ask for an iron and ironing board and they did bring us one. The cost was very reasonable and they also allowed us to check in on a Saturday, which many of the other hotels in the area do not allow. Overall our stay was very comfortable.

Room was excellent. Beds extremely comfortable for a hotel. Room was cleaned in a timely manner. Hotel staff was very helpful. I wanted a non-smoking room, which was unavailable. We were given a room where smoking was allowed but the room did not smell like smoke, although the hallway reeked of ciggarette smoke.

Overall, this is not a bad deal. We did encounter some problems with our room preferences, which the staff corrected the following day. The buffet is a little over-priced, but there are good deals to be found at the diner. My main complaint is that even despite the fact that we always request non-smoking rooms, the entire casino & hotel smells of smoke, regardless of where you go.

No complaints about this hotel, other than one little thing I noticed-- they were lacking a few extras in the room that should have been provided, such as a mini coffee pot, lotion, and clothing iron. We have stayed at the Flamingo before and have found it to be a good place to stay for a couple of reasons. The location is convenient to the river walk with access to other hotels and casinos and it's easy to cross the street to go to the outlet mall and convenient if you want to go to a movie. The casino is a good size, but not so big that you get lost, and the buffet is very decent. Remember that with your players card you get a discount at the buffet as well.

This is the absolute worst hotel I've ever had the displeasure of staying! Nothing good to say about this place at all. The carpet and furniture had stains all over the place. No hair dryer in the room...they let you borrow one for 30 minutes at a time. Had to call for a hair dryer and towels 5 times before they got delivered. And here's the kicker...when they went back to our room to retrieve the hair dryer, they left our door open!!!! We left our room at 6:00 PM and didn't return until 2:00 AM...that means our door was open for anyone to come and rip us off for 8 hours!!!!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Flamingo -- but.... We requested a room with a king bed, and received confirmation. When we checked in, we were informed that there were no rooms with kings available and we would be given a room w/2 doubles and then moved to a room w/king bed the next day. Why confirm your request and then work on a first come/first served basis? The buffet was wonderful. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner there.

So No I will not recommend this hotel to anyone eles. They did have a great sea food buffet, & the room service was very good. The maids didn't replace the towels we used & my husband & I had to use the same towel the next morning.
