| The hotel was very nice just except they needed to change the carpeting in the halls, we had a little issue with checking in but they made up for the inconvience with the upgrade of our room which was very nice. The food in the hotel was ver pricy of course, we paid $16 for a cheeseburger! but our overall stay was enjoyable. We took a cab everyday into South Beach because that was where a lot of action was. I think that the next time we will try Key Biscayne. We took a ride down there from our hotel an dit was absolutely beautiful.

| Wyndham receptionists were the worst I have ever seen in a hotel. They were incompetent to perform the expected service. The hotel didn`t provide the booked room and the receptionists were completely incapable of addressing the problem. There were no manager available in the hotel (at a Friday night). There was a dirt sock in the room provided. Summary: The hotel could be a great place to stay if were not for the awful administration. The service needs urgent improvement!

| I was impressed on the drive up to the hotel - the location is nice, across from the bay and a short walk to great shopping. The lobby is beautiful. Things quickly went downhill after that. In my room, the furniture was old, the rug worn and stained, and the bathroom needed renovation. My toilet didn't work, and even after notifying the front desk, it was never fixed during my stay. The table by my bed was dusty, as were the coffee cups set out by the coffee maker. The room was not cleaned well - my daily complimentary paper was gone when I got back to the room in the evening. I had trouble getting the concierge or front desk to answer the phone. On checkout, I was incorrectly charged for mini bar purchases. Positives? Room service was good and timely, and I had a nice view of the water once I muscled open the old, heavy sliding door to my balcony.

| The check in and check out process was a disaster. We asked for a King size bed, but got two double beds (note that the reception desk told us they had both available and asked us to choose). The rooms and bathrooms are in need of a renovation. Parking is an additional $19 per day and it has to be valet - you can not park your own car. Our room did not have the updated room service menu, so when we called for lunch the kitchen had to read us the menu over the phone. The south end of the hotel overlooks the exhaust vents of the restaurant, so not only is that side noise, but you can smell of the kitchen odors in the room.

| Reception clerk was cool to our early arrival and anxious to send us on to another hotel ("at Wyndham's expense" - although we had pre-paid Expedia) as they were overbooked with 2 weddings. The suite's carpet was stained though clean. The blanket had holes and the several bathroom tiles were cracked. The lobby is lovely and the bar/restaurant had beautiful wood (did not try it). Most of the other personnel were very friendly.

| This hotel was listed as one of the best. I thought it was just OK. Service was good, but did have a very slow check in procedure. The mattresses in our room were very old and not very comfy. The location to the center of Coconut Grove was great. A 5 minute walk, or roller blade in for the kids. Bistro on in hotel a little pricey. But in all a central location for all we wanted to see in Miami and not be right on the beach.

| Wyndham is, to us, usually a reliable label and we expected at least 3-star quality at the Grand Bay: it sadly fell far short of our expectations. The rooms were in disrepair, the facilities spartan, and the service perfunctory. For example, the speaker wires in the room were not connected (we reattached them); the clock radio and alarm did not work (we used wake-up calls); and there were no robes (we requested some). The robes delivered were ladies' dressing robes; threadbare, shrunken and too small for a man. There was, however, a lighted makeup mirror (that did not light) and a coffee maker (with no coffee). There was no ice except by room service which, surprisingly, served an excellent and affordable breakfast. An in-room safe was appreciated. The hotel honors politically correct environmentalism by not changing the soiled towels and sheets for one's entire stay; unless one leaves a pre-printed note instructing them to change the linens. When we left the note on our pillow, they took the note away. We had to find the maid and insist that she replenish the shampoo, soap, coffee, etc. The parking valet constantly changed our car radio to a latino channel, and the concierge did not know how to get to the Miami Boat Show (the largest in the world and Miami's largest annual tourist event) or have any restaurant recommendations except two nearby casual dining venues. Try another hotel.
