The location of this hotel is perfect. just a few blocks from pike place market and one block from monorail. great shopping all around. Room was great. Very Clean and spacious. We did not require any help from the staff, so I am unable to rate that aspect, but I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Do NOT order room service for breakfast!! My eggs, bacon, toast and hashbrowns were totally unedible. My companion's was not much better(at exorbitant room service prices no less!!). We were also interrupted three times during breakfast by housekeeping. Two of those times they just walked in. If you want to sleep in and enjoy breakfast when wake up, this is not the hotel to stay at! Also, plan to pay roughly $20.00 a day per parking , even as a guest.

Hotel in a great location central to all sites. Great service. Only thing that bothered me was a lack of TV channels - movie channel specifically. After a long day at the conference center, it would have been nice to come back to the room and have better TV to relax to.

The staff were all VERY friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and in a great location. The only complaint I have is the pillows. The pillows had to have been filled with cement! I ended up with such a neck and headache that I stopped using one all together. Other than that the place was great. Perfect location. Right in the heart of downtown. Quiet, clean and professional. I would stay here again without hesitation.....as long as I brought my own pillow!

Room comfortable, but connection for dataline hard to get at. Ceiling air duct either noisy or blowing with great force on my face in bed--had to have adjusted by hotel engineer late at night. Hotel restaurant food was awful (black edged, wilted lettuce, etc.). Same for independent restaurant just below the hotel, Elephant and Castle (or something like that). Front desk personnel, however, were very gracious.

The location of the hotel was perfect for shopping, eating and sight seeing. The hotel beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept on. It was quiet too. We got a free breakfast that left a lot to be desired, especially the coffee, but with Tully's around the corner it didn't matter! I would stay there again if not just for the beds!

A very first class luxury hotel with all the compliments needed to make your business stay just like home. The front desk and reservations need a little correlating for timely reservation check in. But Five star all the way for comfort.

We stayed on the 12th floor, woke to a panoramic view of the Puget Sound with snow topped mountains in the background. Easy walking distance to Pike's Market Place, restuarants, the convention center and the monorail (which we were never able to ride...the schedule is somewhat limited). Everything about the hotel was excellent.

It is a good place for local tourists. Free busing in the downtown area. Local attractions like the Aquarium, Space Needle, Qwest Field, Safeco Field and Pike's market all within reasonable walking distance. Good shopping areas that are close although most are upper scale.

The hotel itself wasn't bad. the area was ideal, the biggest draw back was the staff, expecially in the returaunt. I could not believe how rude and unhelpful they were. I think if I were to go back I would definately stay somewhere else.

My first trip to Seattle was spent at the Red Lion Hotel on Fifth Avenue. I would have to say that when I go back I will stay at the Red Lion again. The hotel had the best location. I was just four or five blocks from Pike Place Market and SAM, two blocks from the movie theaters and mall/shops and the Thanksgiving Day Parade was perfectly seen from my room. I also had the best view. I was on the 19th floor and when I went to sleep the Space Needle was lit up right in front of me. Since the hotel goes straight up any room you stay in is sure to have a great view. I woul greatly recommend that you stay at the Red Lion Hotel. It was ny first choice and the best choice I could have made.

The Red Lion Hotel Seattle is in the heart of downtown Seattle. Other hotels of similar quality in the same area cost easily twice at much, at least with the package I purchased through expedia. I would rank this hotel as easily 3.5 stars on a 5 star system. It has a nicely appointed lobby with a fireplace, attentive bell and concierge staff, and nicely appointed rooms with the usual ammenities plus free wi-fi access. The British Pub downstairs offers an amiable atmosphere, and excellent selection of local microbrews and British imports, and great traditional British pub grub. I never had the opportunity to visit the Terrace Garden Restaurant. What I like best about this hotel is the value for the money concerning location and views -- ask for a West facing room on a high floor, and you'll a great view of Seattle Center with the Space Needle and a peekaboo of Elliot Bay. Also, if you prefer a quieter hotel, this one's for you -- it's mostly business travelers; I never once heard tiny voices running stomping down the hall.
