I had only one problem with this hotel. When I arrived on New Years Eve, they had given my room away and arranged a room at another hotel which was a short walk away. This was very annoying and meant that I had to wait one night to get into my room at Hotel Trevi. The next day I began my stay in the Junior Suite at the Hotel Trevi. The room was big and comfortable and had been recently renovated. It was only about half a block from the Fontana di Trevi and right in the middle of all of the wonderful things going on in the ancient quarter of the city. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay once it got started.

You can't beat the location of this hotel. There are plenty of great spots to eat nearby, and you literally turn the corner to get to the Trevi Fountain. We really enjoyed it for the most part--just don't count on the staff to wake you up if you need to catch a flight. They missed our 4:45am wake-up call. Luckily, we just happened to get up on time. Hard beds, but good times!

The best thing about this hotel is its location just a couple hundred meters from Trevi Fountain, tucked away on a quiet street/walkway. My wife, two daughters and I stayed in the "family" room, which is not in the hotel proper, but in an apartment building adjacent to the hotel. It was a good price (for Rome), clean, and roomy with a nice bathroom. Our only complaint was the airconditioning, which was inadequate and controlled by the hotel, not the guest. Nevertheless, I would stay here on my next trip to Rome without reservation (no pun intended - make a reservation).

The location is awesome, on a pedestrian street near Trevi Fountain, and the people behind the desk are friendly and as helpful as can be. However, they have rather odd 'family' accomodations, the hotel lobby is about 2 blocks away from an apartment building with converted suites that are part of the hotel. So, to go to the lobby, or for breakfast, you must walk a a few blocks. The breakfast is great, but up on the roof with really creepy little steps to climb up to get there. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with a physical disability!

The hotel was really less than a block from Trevi Fountain. There were tons of gelaterias and restaurants just outside the door. Taxis were able to drive up to or very near the hotel door (which is saying something, considering how narrow some of the streets are in Rome). Everything was very clean and very nice.

Although location is great, I found them unwilling to provide service I am used to. Breakfast was poor. Could not stay beyond 10:30 a.m. I wanted to stay because flight was late.
