We had the best time in Jamaica and Couples Ocho Rios made sure we had a great time. We got married there on the beach and everyone made sure our day was special. The staff was very attentive, the rooms and beaches were kept clean and the beds turned down every night. We cant wait to go back, only this time we are planning on 10 days instead of 7 :)

My husband and I in addition to our 2 friends went to Jamaica for 1 week. We were pampered and all of our needs and wants were met. When they say in Jamaica that it's "No Problem Mon" they mean it! One of the best things I loved about Couples Ocho Rios was that everywhere you looked, there were people in love with each other. YOu didn't have to worry about some man looking at you or some woman looking at your husband, they had their own perwon that they were head over heals in love with. It was absolutely beautiful!

My husband and I recently got married at couples ocho rios and had a blast. It rained a few days we were there, but everyone on our wedding day was extremely professional and helpful. Our wedding pictures turned out beautiful and the video was excellent as well. We thought the food was great at all places, especially Verandah. It was nice that the hotel staff remembered our names, especially since so many people come to this resort. We were very impressed with everyone and everything and on our second day there we were already talking about coming back each year to enjoy ourselves all over again. Great hotel and great staff. I was very happy we chose couples ocho rios. fun memories for sure.

This was a wonderful experience and I'll definitely be back. The only downfall for the trip was the drive to/from the airport. The road is currently under construction and not "passenger friendly". When the road is completed it'll be much better. The hotel staff was excellent as well as everything else. You can tell the facility has a little age to it, but nothing that should hold anyone back. Treat yourself!

We loved staying here. The food was great, drinks were abundant and we ended up making some great new friends. Definately take advantage of the activities that are planned. Our favorites were snorkeling, the catamaran cruise and Dunn's River Falls. If you go to the falls, say you want to participate in the video and they will put you at the front of the line. You have more fun and you don't even have to buy the video! (Although we bought it anyway) Staff was very friendly and made sure the entire group had a great time.

Service and food is excellent at this hotel. Everyone was very friendly and happy!! Beds are extreamly hard though if your not used to it. Which I'm not!! The only other thing is the loooong 2+ hour bus ride to get there. If you can afford to take the charter plane it would be well worth it!! You get there in 15 minutes! Roads are very small in Jamaica and bumby. The drivers will also scare you!! Otherwise that the hotel is beautiful and the staff is awesome. Expect to hear a lot of "NO PROBLEM!!" The restaurants that you make reservations for are also very romantic especially "Bayside." It's a candle lit resataurant out on the beach! Great place to reconnect and rekindle flames!! My husband and I loved it!!

Couples Ocho Rios is an excellent place to get away from it all. We chose Couples because we weren't interested in the "bar scene at the pool" that typlifies many of these resorts. Upon our arrival the staff was warm and friendly and they promptly brought us drinks to get us used to, "Everything is irie, mon". I have to say that this is one of the most genuinely gracious staff I've encountered. There are plenty of activities to engage in or not (the latter was welcome to us, since we weren't there to be social necessarily) and the buffet times run long enough to accomodate virtually every schedule. The compound is 3 stars in my opinion, but the quality of the food, the surpassing staff and very comfortable atmosphere push this into the 4 star range without a doubt. If you like to do some light exploring, I also recommend that you investigate the "jungle" area of the compound, there is a small aviary that was a delight to find!

Couples is an older, but very well kept small resort (206 rooms) that has excellent food and a good variety of activities. The beach is small but there were always plenty of chairs available. The beach party is a must. Evening entertainment was great. We received excellent service. An oceanview room is well worth the extra cost.

Our first impression was 1 of awe.As we got out of the shuttle bus,we were greeted in the beautiful open lobby and were immediately pampered with cocktails. We were excited to see our cheerful room.We realized later that our pick of oceanfront room (near the Bayside Rest)was the best on the resort, over-looking the pool, nude island and beach (everything)The dining experience was exquisite. We ate at all the restaurants and they were all 4 course VERY romantic fine dining experiences. The breakfast buffet was amazing, the lunch was ok.The night entertainment was good, but we were wishing for a little more. The piano bar was much quieter than what we thought a piano bar should be.But we did get to bed by midnight, only to gladly awaken every morning at 8:30 to plan our day.The BEST part of the all-incl part is the diving-BY FAR. One minute you're taking scuba diving lessons in the pool, the next you're on a boat that takes you right outside the resort to go scuba diving in the Carribean! We had never dived before and it will never be forgotten. The only thing we didn't do is the horseback riding, and that's only because I didn't bring shoes other than sandals and heels :( My husband and I also agreed not to tip, because I met someone who had been there and said it was not necessary and the staff treats you just the same. And that person was right. The staff was great and they were everywhere to help assist you with anything. All in all,my honeymoon was a new bride's dream come true.

We were very pleased with the resort. Our room looked just as described, the hotel grounds were beautiful, and all of the staff we spoke to were very personable and helpful. The drinks were quality and the food was some of the best that I've had at an all inclusive. The italian restaurant was my fave for food & atmosphere - the lamb chops were perfect. There was so much to do as well. The beach party and pool party were really enjoyable too.

When the trip was booked as a Superior Ocean View, we were expecting just that, but we were extremely disappointed with the first floor room with no ocean view at all, just trees off of our balcony on the side of the building. The bathroom sink plumbing also did not work even after one attempt to repair it. After several complaints to the Hotel Management, they finally moved us to a better first floor room a day later. It was a huge inconvenience that was not initially handled well by the staff until I was persistent in demanding the room that was initially booked. Other than that, we were satisfied with the experience.

The hotel was nice and so is the beach but some of the staff are not as friendly to us. They didn't treat us the way they would treat the other guests, less friendly. Food was okay, mostly American food and kind of salty. Except for the buffet, food takes soooo long. There were some insects but not as much as we thought. Room was okay, the air conditioning doesn't really work that well. Service is okay, they don't follow through. Overall, the resort is an average, definitely not a 4 star.

The hotel has beautiful views. Some improvement is needed in overall maintenance of the hotel but doesn't detract from the stay. We met wonderful people from all over the world. The people were in most part very friendly. Service could be improved in the dining patio area-long waits for drinks from the bar. The beach and activities were excellent and the weather was wonderful 12-29 to 1-6. The only downside the 3 hour bus ride but well worth it.

We rate this facility between Terrible and Okay We just returned from a week at Couples in Ochos Rios with some mixed feelings. To start off with, being in Jamaica with 80's weather beats 20-30's here in the States. We were somewhat disappointed with the lack of attention to detail. We had an oceanview room that had several problems. The toilet took several attempts to completely flush, the air conditioning didn't quite cool and on one occasion leaked over our floor. The closet doors did not roll on track and one door was completely off track. A call for repair did not improve either the air conditioner or door. We had a private dinner on the beach (additional $150.) The white netting they place over and around the private dining area was holed and torned and decreased the aviance of the evening. The facility in general was old, worn, and in need of a major facelift. We found ourself having to wait on several occasions for coffee or water at the patio area. When we went to help ourselves, we were then approached and told not to, for we were on vacation (all along wondering how much longer we would of have to wait). Could possibly go on and on. Definitely not Mexico, our first option, and for the money- not worth it. We would not recommend Couples, Ochos Rios to anyone looking for a real 4-5 star facility. For those who disagree with this review, you just don't know.

This hotel is really all in one, my husband and I had the time of our lives there (11/5-11/13). Great weather, beautiful Caribbean sea in every shades of blue and green, lush gardens, extraordinary staff and service, fun guests to hook up with, great restaurants (you need to make reservations but they are all included in the price), oh, and the Tower Island! We had so much fun on this island (it's about 120 yards from the hotel's beach, it belongs to COR), although at first we were a bit reluctant to do nude sunbathing but boy was it fun! We felt so comfortable, had so much fun and laughter, great drinks (try the "Bob Marley" shot) at the swim-up bar (we loved the bartenders too!), they even brought food to the island at lunchtime. The daytime and nighttime entertainment was awesome too, never a boring moment in this hotel, but if you choose just to relax and spend some alone time with your honey, you can do that too, no problem mon! Couples Ocho Rios is the place where you want to go back right after you leave the resort, that's how we felt on our last day :( You would never regret choosing Couples Ocho Rios for your vacation, we could absolutely highly recommend it to everyone!

As this was our 3rd trip to this hotel in as many years, our review will obviously be good. Overall, this hotel is wonderful, but mainly because of the staff. The hotel itself is continually being upgraded and renovated, so the rooms are getting nicer every year. The grounds are coming back very well after hurricane Ivan last year. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, and there isn't a bad view in the entire hotel. The restaurants serve delicious menus, and they change them daily to keep the menu fresh. The bartenders and waitstaff go out of their way to make you feel at home, and remember you from year to year. They are the reason you really want to go back from the second you leave.
