| Great location, great service, and great room! They upgraded me to a 2 bedroom apartment. The bedrooms and bathrooms were larger than the other hotels I had stayed in on my trip. The apartment was very clean, and the service was excellent!

| The hotel rooms, which are converted apartments, were wonderful. The location was great; it was 2 blocks from Princess Street, which has restaurants, shopping, etc. The walk to Edinburgh Castle took us about 20-25 minutes, not bad at all, but keep in mind it is mostly uphill. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit, which had a separate living area/kitchen. It was so nice to have the living area/kitchen separate from the bedrooms. The only complaint we had was the smell of smoke that is still lingering from when they were apartments. They did have air fresheners to help with the smell. But other than that it was a wonderful place and we really can't wait to go back. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling to the Edinburgh area.

| The Royal Garden Apt. on Queen St.,Edinburgh was a great stay. The staff was courteous and helpful with sight-seeing plans. They provided a nice snack-type breakfast and coffee and tea all day. The apartment consists of a little living/kitchen area, a large bathroom and bedroom with a comfortable queen bed. The kitchen is equipped with a full supply of dishes, utensils, pots and pans and tea and coffee. There was a good TV and DVD player with DVDs available to borrow at the front desk. The place was very clean and very quiet. We did not hear any neighbors. The location is convenient to shopping and not far from the bus drop and train station. We walked with no problem. We would definitely recommend this place or go back to it.

| We stayed in a two bedroom penthouse apartment with great views of the gardens. The apartment was large, roomy, bright, clean, and well equipped for fixing breakfast and any other meal. I will recommend this aparthotel to any friends visiting Edinburgh - it is a wonderful alternative to staying in a hotel room. The staff provided directions to the closest grocery store, printed out driving directions to nearby attractions, and made restaurant recommendation. The only distraction is the lack of on-site parking.

| This hotel combines the friendliness and hospitality of an old-fashioned B&B with the facilities of a modern luxury hotel. My apartment was clean and comfortable and the staff had made sure everything was warm and comfortable when I arrived (which coincided with an unexpected snowstorm). There was free internet access in the bedrooms -- and cables provided -- and a stereo to plug in my ipod. There's also free use of an internet-connected computer if guests don't bring their own. Kitchen facilities were well thought out and made my stay very convenient. Staff was always helpful in answering questions, calling taxis, etc.

| I was so pleasantly surprised by the Royal Garden Apartments. We had a two bedroom apartment overlooking the garden. It was comfortable, clean and with all the amenities of home. Guests have access to laundry machines at no cost, which was a definite plus, as I packed lightly. Complimentary email access is in the lobby. The hotel is within walking distance to anything and everything you'd want to see while staying in Edinburgh. The staff was knowledgeable about local events, restaurants, etc., and very helpful and friendly. I'm definitely staying here again when I return to Edinburgh!

| A great location, incredible service by all hotel employees, and very clean and comfortable rooms! Highly recommended! The employees all were not only helpful, but went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed the city and offered candid and accurate advice/reviews of attractions and tours.

| Very unique hotel in that the "rooms" are actually converted apartments. Ours was a spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath, separate full kitchen, and a large living room/dining room. The hotel is centrally located - only about 3 blocks from the center of Edinburgh. It is a comfortable and welcome alternative to normal hotel living.

| This was a very comfortable small suite hotel. Parking at the hotel is non-existant; but you can park on Dublin St. for a short period of time to unload bags. The folks at the front desk are friendly and helpful. The high-speed internet access was a plus for staying in touch.
