| Everything was as described and expected. This was the best facility we stayed at on our entire trip that included Rome, Zurich and Athens. Balcony room and view of city at night was worth the price.

| The hotel is most impressive when walking into it because of the flooring and other lobby accoutrements. The complementary breakfast is outstanding! What separates this hotel from others is the LOCATION! It is in the very heart of the Plaka District. Also, you are within a very short walking distance to the Agoura as well as the Acropolis. The only drawback is the Front Desk Staff who are not very accomodating. One additional positive...The nighttime bartender. He is most intereting and concocted a hot drink with honey, lemon, and host of alcoholic beverages that stopped an horrific cough that I acquired through travel.

| The location of the hotel in the Plaka area of Athens makes it an ideal base of operations for all of the historical sites and museums. Close to shopping, wonderful restaurants, and night life, the Electra Palace is an absolutely fabulous place to stay in Athens. Our room offered a view of the Acropolis, and it was spacious and comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and generous. The sumptuous breakfast buffet helped us get off to a great start every morning. And all of the decorations gave it a feeling of elegance. The hotel is located on a relatively quiet side street, and virtually everything of interest in Athens is within walking distance. We would highly recommend it to any traveler looking for more than a touch of elegance, convenience, and comfort.

| The hotel was great. Very clean, and the staff was friendly. I think the best feature, though, was the location. We were able to walk everywhere and only needed a cab to get to/from the airport. They are doing construction, so it makes it difficult to sleep in. But really, there is too much to do in Athens to be wasting vacation time sleeping anyway! I'd go back in a heartbeat.

| We really enjoyed our stay at the Electra Palace. The location can't be beat. The rooms, while small are nicely appointed. The only down side is that we were not made aware that major construction was occuring during our stay. This lead to an early wake-up call for us. But once this project is finished the Electra Palace will have a new roof-top pool and be even more splendid than it is now. PS: Don't miss out on the fabulous views form the current roof-top patio

| Unless you get a suite, the rooms are small. We booked a SUPERIOR room and I am not sure if we even got that room. If that was a SUPERIOR room, I would hate to see the size of a regular room. Pack light because you have no room to unpack you belongings, there is no storage space beside a small closet and no place to put your suitcases. The walls are thin; you can hear the other guests conversations, TV, and doors slamming. Cigarette smoke permeates the building, from the lobby to your room.

| The hotel was beautiful, and very centrally located. The breakfast was very nice. But,the bed was the most uncomfortable part of this trip.It was rock hard and very short, the sheets felt like they were made out of sandpaper. The bathroom was so small you could not turn around in the shower. We just got back and it's Feb,we couldn't regulate our own heat and the room was so hot we had to sleep with the door open all night. On the lighter side the staff was really nice and very helpful.

| This is a lovely hotel with great staff who go out of their way to be helpful. Be sure to check out the view from the rooftop - a nice place to relax and enjoy. Location is perfect - in the Plaka - only a short walk to everything. And very safe.

| The Electra Palace was the perfect place to stay. The room we stayed in was magnificent. We had a balcony with a view of the Acropolis which was worth the extra money by itself.Nothing better than sitting on your balcony watching the sunset beside the Acropolis. However if ou don't want to spend the extra money, they have a gorgeous rooftop patio where you can see everything just as well.Beautifully furnished room, beds were comfortable, bathroom was spacious and very clean. The staff was very professional and proficient, and even helped us set up a day excursion to some islands. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone interested in staying in Athens. Great location as well. Minutes away from everything you could possibly want to do while in Athens.

| The hotel had the perfect location right in the Plaka area. A very easy walk to the Acropolis as well. The rooms were a bit small, but I think that may be expected in the older part of the city. They were extremely clean and I would recommend staying here to anyone.

| Electra Hotel is one of the best hotels ever stayed. The room is comfort & luxurious! location is in the PLAKA (old City of Athens), near boutiques and famous department stores. Wherever you want to go, start from this hotel. The staffs were very helpful (altough start a bit late) and the breakfast offered various foods. Excellent!

| I just got back from Athens and I thought the Electra Palace Hotel was terrific. The room was very clean and spacious with a wonderful view of the Acropolis. There is also a restaurant/bar on the roof offering amazing views. The lobby is very impressive and the service is impeccable. The bed was extremely comfortable--I probably slept better there than I usually do at home! The hotel has a nice indoor pool, steam room and sauna which was quite refreshing after spending the day walking around in the hot sun. Another plus is that the hotel has non-smoking rooms. Most importantly, the hotel is in an excellent location. It's right in the middle of Plaka, the area with the Acropolis, all the shops and restaurants, the Ancient Agora, and 95% of the things you came to Athens to see. But it's right off of a quiet street so you can actually get some sleep at night. I definately plan on visiting Athens again, and when I do, I'll be staying at the Electra Palace Hotel again.

| Electra Palace had a very helpful staff. They instructed us where to go for nights out (clubs and bars) as well as restaurants with Greek singing and dancing. They made suggestions on what sights to visit and other places to see that was not mentioned in our guide book. The hotel itself was right in the city center, so we could walk to most of the sights. The rooms were not that large, but very clean. Definitely one of the best hotels I've stayed in.
