This my second stay in this hotel. My first trip was 1998. Lovely place to stay with kids. Planning to go back next year.

All the facilities and grounds were very well maintained. I found the food to be average, I don't think I ever had what I would consider a good dinner. The best bargain was the deli sandwiches in the little deli/internet cafe place. It took us 3 days to find the "book exchange" table, would have been nice to find that earlier. The front lobby staff could have been a little more helpful assisting me to make a phone call upon leaving. Also, I found the time-share sell way too high pressure. Otherwise, it was a fine place to stay.

Superbly trained and friendly employes, Very comfortable room, large and spacious, very clean and neat and beautifully maintained grounds. However. with the exeption of the Sunday Brunch which was adequate, the food in the hotel restaurants was generally pathetic. Fortunately PV has many wonderful restaurants so it was not a problem for me and I would stay there again.

Overall the hotel was great, everyone was very nice and they did everything possible to make us feel at home, securities along with all other staff were great. I was impressed on how people could show so much interest in helping someone whom they dont know. This made our experience at Puerto Vallarta a wonderful stay.

Our overall experience with the Palmar was great. The service, location and amenities was more than we expected for the price. We were warned of the aggressive time share and gold card sales pitch so it was not unexpected and although the jewelry, henna tattooers, sarong, etc. beach hawkers were never ending we found it to be entertaining once we learned how to say no, and we would have experienced these minor inconveniences no matter where we stayed near the city. We reserved a room for 3 adults and our 26 year old son had to sleep on an uncomfotable sofa bed,so,when we stay again we will be more specific of our needs. We will return !!!

We recently had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. We are not beach/sun folks, but there were several pools and areas to sunbathe if you want, as well as a great gym. We would easily stay at this hotel again. We had a great time.

The hotel was nice and the staff was friendly - but they will try to get you to go to a timeshare meeting. The beach setting is perfect and the nightshows are fun. The temperature control in the room was not great (it felt humid some of the time). The value is good if you buy the all inclusive packages, otherwise, prices are steep. Overall, it was a fabulous time!!!

My wife and I were on a first floor room back in a corner. Very musty smelling that did not clear up. Complained but were told that all rooms were full (predicatable since it was the 2 week Easter period). We stayed five days and left as soon as another room opened up elsewhere. Staff was very friendly. If it hadn't been for condition of the room, we would have rated the Resort very high. This room may have only opened up on busy weeks. shouldn't have been booked at all.Musty smell made it difficult for my wife to breathe (sinus condition). Hotel could not accomodate.

We had a nice time at Villa del Palmar Beach Resort, however, we were disappointed with a couple of things. First, the website did not show the beach. The beach area at the hotel was small and inhibited by two jetties. We would say that the beach was just adequate. Second, and most importantly, we were extremely disappointed with the "time share""hard sell" that we were accosted with at check in. Not only were we approached, and suckered, at the airport, we were also approached again at check-in. Anyone considering staying at this hotel be prepared to hear the sales pitch, but don't waste your time, say NO and enjoy Puerto Vallarta, its great!

Villa Del Palmar is a beautiful hotel in a convenient location. However, it is a time share and there is pressure to attend presentations. Do not attend any presentations. If you are polite yet firm with the hotel staff about not wanting to attend ANY time share presentations, no matter what freebies are offered, they will leave you alone for the most part. We spoke with others who did attend presentations and they said it was not worth the time wasted. The hotel is very well maintained. The staff is friendly and speaks English fluently. The pool is nice. The beach is nice, but it is worth it to venture to beaches away from the hotel. Go downtown for your food; it's not that far away (a quick 40 cent bus ride) and the quality and prices are better than what you could get at the hotel.

This is hands down one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. We stayed(5 of us) in the 2 bedroom suite. It was clean, beautiful, a great view and overall fabulous!!! The employees were wonderful, it was easy to get into town and a simple "no gracias" had people not bugging you. The people who lived there were kind and charming. I will keep going back. It was unbelievable. Definetly as close to paradise as one can get. Oh yes, 84 degrees and sunny every day.
