| Nice enough, average hotel. Great neighborhood with lots of shops and cafes. Reasonable access to buses and the boat taxi across the inlet. Helpful staff. Not much parking that I saw, although what there was is free. Secured elevator after 10 pm.

| The hotel is very well located for seeing Vancouver. The staff was quite helpful, room was clean and bright. The price on Expedia was very good. All around good deal for staying in Vancouver. Parking could be tricky though.

| A bit pricey but worth it. The restaurant is below par, but there are lots of great places to eat in the nearby market. About 200yds. away is the Sandbar, where we had a really great evening meal.

| The hotel is located in a very central area. Lot's of neat shops and fun places to eat. I wasn't too impressed with the bar or restaurant, but there were plenty of other things to do in the area.

| Among other great things about this little hotel, it's location is fabulous. Granville Island is a quaint little artist's community where artisans are hard at work in their shops as you browse their wares. Plus the Public Market is so close it's hard not to eat every meal there. We could have made a vacation of Granville Island alone!

| My wife and I found the Granville Island Hotel to be the ideal place to stay. Located on the False Creek bay, there were excellent vistas of sailboats and the great Vancouver skyline. The island itself is an over priced artist's community where one could hardly afford to buy anything. You would do well to load up on bagettes, cheese, and the like at the market and eat them throughout the day, as meals are quite spendy in Vancouver. Bring a bike, as the city is best seen by pedaling around the miles of paved sea wall. Our room on the first night was the smallest available, with a view of the parking lot. We asked the front desk if they could change us to a better room. Although unable to that night, we were moved to a much nicer room for the remaining two nights. Many rooms are considered standard, but they are not all equal! They gladly moved us and we enjoyed a view of the harbor, bigger room, and a newspaper delivered to our door. It pays to ask, as they front desk was really helpful. Parking is tight, you have to pay seven dollars per night, and really scrounge for a spot. Don't bother with China Town, Gas Town, or Grouse Mountain unless you plan on eating up there as the tram ride is not worth the view. Stanley Park, Robson Street, and just walking around are your best options. Everything is reasonably close to this hotel.

| This is a nice small hotel right on the harbor of Granville Island. Dockside restaurant is great, try the smoked salmon pizza and a few pale ales.Small rooms, but nicely appointed with great free high-speed internet access, and a great little patio to watch the boats dock.

| Great little hotel in a very convienent location.Within walking distance of restuarants, public market and a myriad of galleries and art studios.Hotel has its own brewery, restaurant on the water and convention rooms. The tile floors in some rooms are alittle cold in cooler weather but the carperted one was great. Both our rooms had a view of the water.
