| On my third trip to Edinburgh, I wanted to stay close to the Royal Mile without paying an arm and a leg for lodging. Because of the high recommendations on Expedia.com, I took a chance and booked 4 nights at The Knights Residence. I could not have been more pleased with our 2-bedroom apartment. Roomy, clean, quiet, and stocked with everything the business or pleasure traveler might need. The staff was HUGELY helpful, and the location perfect. Though there were, to be honest, a few "lap dancing" establishments nearby, we never saw a soul or heard a peep, and felt very safe walking the neighborhood streets. A short walk to the Grassmarket, up the West Bow, and you're on the Royal Mile. I cannot say enough good things about The Knights Residence and look forward to returning there for a fortnight this fall!

| Very friendly staff, very helpful in finding things to do to keep you occupied during your stay in Edinburgh. The suites/apartments are large and you feel as if you are not in a hotel at all. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants the comforts of home while away from home.

| Excellent facilites, & extremely helpful and friendly staff. It is walking distance to city center, Univ of Edinburgh, and public transportation. Great internet connection. The only negative is that you need to be able to walk, and the immediately surrounding area is a bit seedy. The facilities and staff more than make up for this. If you have a car, they have free parking.

| This hotel was in a great location, close to the Castle and restaurants. There are a couple of places close by to buy supplies for breakfast (we supplemented the cereal and bread that were provided). The apartment was very comfortable, and it was great to have some room to spread out after several days of hotel rooms. The free parking is definitely a plus. WE weould definitely go back again.

| Everything about this hotel was great except that the location is not in the best area. It is close to everything, but it is surrounded by some sleezy bars. This did not present any problem, but something to be aware of. We would stay here again in a second! Well equiped with TV, VCR, movies, kitchen supplies, washer & dryer, starter breakfast supplies, etc.

| This hotel was everything advertised and more. Great location, friendly and helpful staff, great amenities. I can't say enough about it. Housekeeping was excellent and the concierge very attentive. Met all of our needs. Even had gift baskets in the room containing cereals and munchies, juices and milk for those jet lagged and not yet functioning. Was within a few minutes walk of the Edinburgh Castle, Grass Market, Grey Friar's Bobby, Churches, Bus Lines, Grocery stores, Movie theaters, Great Pubs, Roayal Mile etc...

| My husband and I stayed here in the middle of our vacation. We were amazed at the size and amenities that this hotel/residence afforded us. Extremely clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed, stocked kitchen, satellite t.v., security system plus a washer dryer combo to boot. Some would say that the stripper bars in the same neighborhood would be a deterrent, but they were tame and quiet as well. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!!!

| The Knight Residence is two blocks from the base of Edinburgh Castle. We were in the perfect location for our family as all shopping, sight seeing, and meals were within easy walking distance. The staff was the most attentive we've ever had. They were right on the money for answering all our questions as well as ensuring our stay was a pleasant one. Having our own kitchen, dining room, and washer/dryer saved us money, lightened our luggage, and gave us more time to see the sights.

| What a great place to come back to after a long day of sight seeing! The full kitchen allowed us to have snacks around, and the staff provided us with some necessities (coffee, tea, milk, cereal, bread) upon check-in; NICE after a long flight! The guys at the concierge desk were so friendly and very concerned about our comfort. If we go back to Edinburgh, we will be staying here!

| This apartment hotel was one of the best we have stayed in. The service was friendly and helpful, yet unobtrusive, so privacy was maintained. Felt very much like a home from home. The central location was also very convenient, though occasionally noisy for rooms facing the front of the residence.

| Wonderful apartment. New, clean, secure. Walking distance to the castle and main shopping district. The front desk will arrange taxis if needed and will suggest restaurants. We felt we could relax and put our feet up after a long day.
