Checking in was a lenghty process, but I noticed that the general pace in Hawaii is much slooooower than the rest of the country, so get used to it. The room was nice, we had a great view, and the beds were - hands down - the most comfortable that I've ever slept on in a hotel. Climbing into bed at night was heavenly.

The hotel was beautiful, the staff very helpful and very friendly, it was beautifully decorated: from the lobby to the rooms! it was located very conviently to most all of the things we wanted do in waikiki. We could walk to everything we wanted to do with little effort, leaving us with only 2 days needed to rent a car,to tour the island.

The Marriott Waikiki is definitely a place that will make you feel special. Our rooms were luxurious with breathtaking views of both Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach. We were able to get 2 connecting rooms - both had glorious views. The beds and linens are FABULOUS! My husband has been having "Marriott bed withdrawal" since we got home. He says he loved our home bed until he slept in the Marriott beds. I must say that this is the 3rd Marriott Hotel I've had the pleasure of staying at this year, and each one had extremely comfortable beds, quality linens, they spare no expense...

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in July 2006. We were extremely happy with the comfort of the bed, cleanliness of the hotel, and how big the bathroom was. We were in the heart of Waikiki, 10 minute walk to Diamond head and 20-30 minutes to Aloana Shopping Center. Very convenient, 2 pools-- a great experience!!

My husband and I loved this hotel. We had stayed in another hotel pre-cruise, and this one beat it hands down. It is not just its location, although basically on the beach has its good points. The staff were polite, helpful, and cheerful - taking that extra initiative step that says true service. The beds were completely sink-into-able. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer.

If you are a price-concious consumer, but not a cheapskate, this is your hotel. Directly across the street from the beach, this is your quickest access. You'll stay in one of two main towers, we had the rear tower, but still had a view of the ocean, and we were lucky enough to be on the Diamond Head Crater side, so every morning we woke up to sunlight hitting the mountain, what a beautiful sight! Hotel service was fantastic, including the concierge. It was our first trip to Hawaii, definitely not our last, but they were tireless in answering questions about how best to get places, things to do and see, and neat tidbits you won't find anywhere else but from a friendly local. Admittedly we got a great deal with the leisure rates, and going in July when not in peak season, but I highly recommend this hotel. We had NO problems with elevators as I had read in other reviews, probably due to being off-season, but even so they have 6 elevators in each tower, and a status display of where each elevator is on the first floor, so there are no surprises, you can see exactly where all 6 are when you push the button. Our trip was fantastic, and part of it was having beatiful accommodations, a perfect room, and stellar service. I give it TWO THUMBS UP! We will stay here again.

The service was very good, including delivering a wheelchair within an hour of ordering it from a local vendor for my Dad to use while we were there. The room was small, but adequate. While I would not ordinarily stay in Waikiki because of so many people, this end of the Beach was quieter than the other end, and that was an advantage. It is also close to the Zoo, walking distance to the Aquarium, and easy access to H1.

We had a great time in Oahu and the Marriott just added to the enjoyment. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a partial ocean view room and the view was spectacular from the balacony. I also appreaciated the no charge for the roll a way bed. With a preteen and a teenager, the extra bed made a big difference in the demeanor of the kids. We enjoyed the pool alot but the prices for the pool side service were a little steep, but a great amenity when you are to lazy to get up. The cushions on the poolside loungechairs was a nice luxury. Also a couple times a day there were free foot massages and 5 minute chair massages poolside. We ate at the Kuhio Grill (3 times) which has a great buffet. Again, price alittle high but when its Prime Rib and Crab Legs and other wonderful dishes, salads and dessert, you cant beat it. The beach is directly a cross the street and very kid friendly with the built in reef. The dedicated tour area made is easy to always be in the right place for tour pickups. The staff, what little we had to do with them, were helpful.

We just got back from 5 days at the Marriott Waikiki. We reserved two city view rooms - one room had an ocean view and the other overlook Diamond Head. The room were very comfortable, great beds and pillows. There are two pools, both on the third floor. The hotel is beautiful and a great location. We walked to everything - did not need a car, even though we had one in the parking garage. Also took the trolly, for $2 - a great way to see the city. We will be going back to this hotel again.

My wife and I selected this hotel because the hotel had a promotional offer. They accomodated us with a nice hotel room with a fanatastic view because we were newly weds. This hotel has a great location and offered great service, accessibility, and the ability to accomodate our needs. The only negative comment I have is that the moisture and temperature was difficult to control in the room. The location was prime and the concierge gave great recommendations to make our experience in Hawaii memorable. The beach grill on the bottom floor has excellent food and exceptional dessert selections.

The hotel was wonderful and the service was great! The best part is that the hotel was more towards the end of Waikiki so there's much less noise, yet the center of all the Waikiki action was only a couple blocks away. Kuhio beach was just across the street and the morning swims were very pleasnt, we practically had the beach all to ourselves. Plus, it was low tide in the morning so the kids can just walk to water a couple feet deep and see fish swimming around. The hotel was very close to the park where they have lots of free music and movie at night right on the beach! Will definitely stay there again.

The Waikiki Beach Marriott is an excellent choice for a relaxing Hawaii vacation. The location is great: directly across from the beach and a very short walk to restaurants and shops. The Front Desk was very friendly and efficient. The Concierge was very helpful in organizing tours and making recommendations. The hotel is huge: over 1300 rooms in 2 towers. They usually had 3 people booking tours at a time which is too few. Also the parking lot is too small, badly designed, and tends to fill up but those are about the only negatives.

Great stay and location is extremely convienient if your bringing kids along. Be sure you know what tower your in. Please note there are two towers one across the road from the beach and another one further back. Both are linked together. Parking is fifteen dollars a day even if your staying there! Has Hertz rental in hotel. Restaurants are expensive!! Beds in the north tower are feather matresses on a box spring. Killed my back and wifes neck after a couple of nights. Bring lots of money because your going to need it. Waikiki is a tourist trap and most everyone takes advanatge of this. You will probably wish you never see another ABC store (local style pantry). One on every block. Beaches are awesome.

I am very skeptical when it comes to staying in hotels and for me that was the scariest part about going on vacation was not previously seeing the hotel other than pictures. However, when my family and I arrived the hotel is even better than pictures. It is a beautiful atmosphere. The hotel staff was amazing. Our room was beautiful, very clean, and a good size. We can't wait to visit the Waikik Beach Mariott Resort and Spa again. Couple things, the spa at the hotel is amazing, my husband and I had the best massages. There are two pools however we only visited one and it was great too, plenty of towels provided, lots of seating for around the pool, etc. The food at the hotel is wonderful as well, so if you don't feel like going somewhere else to eat dining at the hotel will make you just as happy. Overall it was just a wonderful stay, and we loved the hotel.
