The location is unbelievable; you cannot see the hotel until you drive down a beautiful drive on a desert road. It suddenly emerges from the desert and offers everything anyone could want for a relaxing and fun trip!! We look forward to going to the Hyatt Tamaya again in the near future! Great location for day trips to Albuquerque/Santa Fe/Toas......all wonderful!

My husband and I loved this resort. It was just beautiful, and, I know this might sound odd, it smelled wonderful as well. Everywhere in the hotel it smelled like the Pinon Pines which are so abundant in the area. We only dined in the Santa Ana Cafe (once for dinner and once for breakfast), but the service there was excellent. The concierge was extremely helpful to us in planning our excursion to Bandelier Ntl. Monument. We would have taken the highway there and back, but she directed us to take a back road there that was breathtaking.

I highly recommend staying at this gorgeous hotel/resort. It was full of pleasant surprises. The staff was extremely courteous and the decor was very creative. The location, views and activities were above and beyond any other hotel I've ever stayed at up to this date. Bravo Hyatt Tamaya! I will be returning to New Mexico again just to enjoy this hotel once more.

The Tamaya Resort and Spa offers a unique blend of first class resort amenities in an authentic, Native American historical setting on the Santa Ana reservation. You can dine at outstanding restaurants, dance and listen to regional music, ride a horse, take a carriage ride, watch the moon rise over the Sandia Mountain, participate in baking Indian breads, view traditional Indian dancing, play golf, or simply relax at one of three great pools or the on-site spa. The location is ideal for day trips to Santa Fe, Albuquerque or through the picturesqe local mountains where fascinating culture awaits you. If you want the flavor of the old SouthWest, skip Arizona (except for Flagstaff and Grand Canyon) and come straight to New Mexico.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel itself is in great shape. There is so much to do there - golf, horseback riding, baloon rides, 3 pools, tennis... the list goes on. We loved it and plan to go back. Our 3 year old had a blast. The bed was a bit soft for our taste.

Access within the hotel is most difficult to maneuver. The Corn Maiden restaurant is closed on Mondays. It's a long walk to the parking lot from the hotel. Concierge is not well versed. The bathroom in the room was comperable to a 3 star hotel. The housekeepers came to our door at 8:30 am to see if we were out. The fitness room closes at 8PM. There were very few appointments available for massage, etc.

This was an amazing hotel / resort. Staff is extremely attentive to all details. Room is amply sized and has a work area. Checked in for our second stay and the room had just been cleaned and there was a lingering odor of a cleaner they had used and they sent up a staff person to help move our stuff to another room which was perfect. View out the back is phenomenal. Enjoy the inside fireplaces in winter and the outdoor ones on cool nights other times.

We had too short a stay to take advantageous of the beautiful golf and hiking available, but would come back. The rooms were nothing special, but the facilities were lovely - especially the reception fireplaces, and both restaurants were delicious.
