| We had ywo small children constantly slip and fall on the wet floors. Upon arrival to the room we asked that the floors be mopped and dried. We had to call back 3 times because they didn't show up. Finally, I used their towels to dry the floor. The ext day it was wet/damp again. It seems as though they have a problem with condensation and can't maintain the tile floors dry.

| The staff and service at Marival was exceptional. There was a wide variety of food options served the entire day- for both non-vegetarians and vegetarians. The hotel was close to the boardwalk. The hotel offered plenty of daytime activities to entertain all age groups. Avoid any tours of the resort- used to sell you time shares etc. Otherwise, our experience at this hotel was great!!!!

| From the moment we arrived, I knew this hotel would be hard to beat. We were greeted immediately by extra friendly staff and breezed through check-in. The food was very good, appealing and appetizing. Pool facilities were great and the entertainment provided nightly was good. Our 12 year old grandson was with us and I felt very safe for him to be on his own for events planned for children. This trip took vacations to a new level. I can certainly see why this hotel is rated a 4 star. All employees went out of their way to be friendly and made us feel special. We will certainly return to this hotel again except we will stay longer. It was definitely a vacation in Paradise.

| We stayed at the Marival for 6 nights and only left twice. We did not have any problems with the food or drinks, there is plenty to choose from. I suggest making reservations for the Italian or Mexican restaurant as soon as you check in because they were fully booked for several nights. If you need something for your room, like an iron or room service, allow alot of time for them to bring it. The beach and pools were great. I don't really have anything negative to say about the resort. We will definitely be going back!

| I had the most peaceful week. A hotel with very discrete time-share-hunters. They can be annoying. I thought I wouldn't have a relaxing vacation. That due to high season,I would have to wake up early to save a spot at the beach or pool (which we have done in previous experiences), but to my surprise, there was plenty for all guests everytime, no matter how late we woke up. There was an adults-only pool which I thought was a great idea... The beach was wonderful, good water temperature and nice waves. It was rainy season so there were some jellyfish at times and my young boy was stung very badly by one. Mosquitoes can torture you at times of the day also...they ruined our tennis day. The food was good. They don't let you take food to the pool or beach area, but that helps it to be clean. There were already plenty of bees flying around your drinks. There is a small restaurant for burgers, hotdogs, pizza and few other nice choices open at all times and an ice cream machine which my kids and I enjoyed. There is a show every night which was quite entertaining and helped us close our day. We had a great tranquil vacation. To wrap it up, we were lucky one night we walked to the beach before we went to sleep to see two turtles nesting. Spectacular. The hotel is so well arranged that you never have the feeling of crowdiness.

| We had a wonderful time at Marival! When we arrived the check-in service was fast and friendly and there was a good introduction given to the ammenities of the resort. We stayed from Monday to Sunday and never tired of the endless activities that were offered. All three pools were fantastic and the beach was clean. The thing that most stands out is the staff. Each employee was friendly and tried to make our stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. The activities staff was fun, outgoing and always doing something. We both recommend this all inclusive resort, you'll never have to leave to enjoy your vacation.

| This was my first all inclusive vacation and it's the way to go! My experience there was amazing. I work in a hotel so I know what to expect and how guests should be treated. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. Beds were a little hard but that's okay, you're in Mexico. Lots of families there, more than expected. I will probably try an adult only location next time I travel all inclusive. The activities and activity directors were fun in getting us involved in sports and different fun things. We were never bored and were there for 4 days. I would defintely recommend anyone to stay in this hotel, enjoy!

| This is NOT a 4-star hotel. The service was very poor and the food was average. In case you don't know, this hotel is also a club so many local people go there to spend the day and so weekends get VERY crowded. I thought the bars were not very clean and the variety of drinks was very poor. The rooms are extremely noisy (we were switched but the second room was still noisy). I don't recommend this hotel.

The pool choices were nice, the beach was well maintained and the air conditioning in the rooms worked very well. The clientel was a nice blend of honeymooners, groups of couples and families. | Everthing was nice, but it is a little over rated on Expedia with a 5 star rating. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The view was amazing and the beaches were clean and fun. The pools were separated so we did not have to be near kids and noise. The food in Bella Vista and Las Palomas was very good. Also, everything was clean. There were only three things that we did not like: we listened to a time share spiel, we could not get a reservation for dinner the first night because we were too late (had to eat in the buffet) and the beds were very uncomfortable. All this considered - we would recommend this resort.

| As all-inclusives go, this one ranks high. Immaculately clean rooms and common areas, friendly and professional staff, extraordinarily kid-friendly atmosphere(really a family oriented place), variety of activities and venues, great restaurants (even the buffet was good) and excellent entertainment (if you have ever seen the "shows" at other all-inclusives you will be very impressed with the ones here). There were just as many Mexican families as Americans staying here so rest assured it is not a typical gringo tourist trap.

| All-inclusive means it. Premium liquors for the asking. Excellent service. Activities to join in if you wish, many other places to relax if you don't. It is a time share, so they will bribe you with various amenities to see the 2 hour presentation (they say 1.5 hours, but don't beleve it), but they thank you and walk away if you say no thanks. The beds are hard, incredibly hard - but all you need do is ask for foam pad and they will oblige. The food is above average buffet, but for breakfast you can always have a fresh omelette or head to the sit down restaurant. Lunch is similar, but there is always plenty of fresh pizza, nachos, hamburgers and some decent buffet. Be sure to get your restaurant reservations early if you want to eat early, but late seems always available. The Italian restaurant was great. Bottles of wine, cost extra, but by the glass of house wine is always included. This is Mexico and things happen in Mexican time, but relax and enjoy.

| We stayed in a one bedroom suite in building #6 at the Marival Resort in Puerto Vallarta. That was a great location. We were centrally located near the pool, restaurants, lobbies, and beach. All areas were well maintained and clean. The beds were not as comfortable as we thought a four star hotel's would be and our housekeeper did not leave enough towels one day, enough washcloths another day, and no bath mat. Those needs were tended too by a mere phone call. We enjoyed having the extra room afforded by the suite since we were a family of two parents, one 23 year old , and a 15 year old. The resort was very safe. The activities were numerous and varied and the activity directors were fun. This is a great place for families with smaller children. There are many playgrounds, mini-golf, special water pool with cute water activites, and more. There were plenty enough activites for adults too. We would definitely enjoy returning to the Marival and will be recommending it to other friends. We thought five nights was plenty time to relax by the pool and enjoy the beach. We did not go into town and do any sightseeing. But,that gives us another reason to return! We ate the buffet for breakfast and it was delicious. We enjoyed eating each night in one of the restaurants. The food and services there were excellent!

| Resturants were great especially desserts, email in your reservations. Two bedroom suite fit 5 fine. Beds seemed fine to me. Breakfast buffet was fine but not so great for dinners. Beach is great, boogie boards were fun. water is cloudy, no snorkeling. They have a doctor there on site. Tap water was fine no one had any issues we drank bottled water but weren't carefull about ice or tap water for brushing teeth etc. When we first checked in we were handed off to a timeshare guy and he got us drinks and told us about the various stuff available at the hotel, the last bit was to have us go to a timeshare pitch (2.5 hrs!?!) we declined and he was nice about it. 2-for-1 at the spa or other attractions isn't worth 2.5 hrs to me. kayaks were fun, was hard to get them to drag out the windsurfers, taxis were $25 from the airport - $14 to get back $16 to PV, $11 to bucarias

Two out of eight of us got sick. The pools were nice and being right on the ocean was great. Not much for shopping unless you go into town. Bring small bills as far as money because all of your change will be in Mexican money and they usually won't change it back for American Money.

| This hotel is a great place to stay if you want to be away from downtown Puerta Vallarta. It is about a 20 minute cab ride to downtown. And, this is the only "hopping" hotel on the Nueva Vallarta Hotel Zone. If you are a young couple that would like a romantic getaway this probably isn't for you, because they have many activities for families which can alter your quiet times. But, it is family friendly and has many activities to keep everyone busy. Because my husband and I have no children, we would probably opt to stay at another hotel.

| Four members of our family traveled together, ages 20, 25, 53 and 55. All of us agreed that the Marival was the best we resort we have stayed at! This place was very clean. The food was amazing. We all enjoyed the buffet the one night we ate there, but the reservation restaurants were out-of-this-world! Literally, it was some of the best food we have ever eaten. We are not uncultured; you would have to be insane not to like this food. We calculated that for the four of us, we probably would have spent $250 for each meal at home. The Italian place was our favorite, but they were all incredible and worth eating at. Other than that, everything else (drinks, ocean, pools, boogey boarding, water polo, tennis courts, etc.) was excellent. Honestly, I cannot think of any criticism to level at the resort. Before I typed this e-mail, I asked the other members of my family if they had any complaints and they did not, either. The Marival was such a nice place that my sister is considering holding her wedding at it next year.

| The one-bedroom suite we stayed in was big and comfortable. The beds were hard but acceptable. The cleaning crew was great and laundry was quick. But don't expect quick turn around on Sunday...you get it back on Monday. Skip the reservation-only restaurants unless you just want a little more atmosphere and want to order a bottle of wine. The food is very mediocre in La Pergola, Las Palomas and Bella Vista. On the other hand, the Casa Bella, a buffet-style come-as-you-are is pretty darn good if you take your time and seek out the things you like to eat. There's enough of a selection to reward the persistent. Two minor annoyances that could have been major depending on the importance to the individual: (1) The business center is laughable. They have a wireless connection that extends out about 50 feet and it doesn't work when you need it. So they charge an outrageous amount to get on one of the three pc's they have available. One was working; (2) No hotel-provided frequent transportation to the city. You're on your own. Taxi. Bus. Whatever. You could spend a lot going back and forth because the city is really a neat place to shop, eat and just walk around. It is Puerto Vallarta...and worth a lot of time. Oh, and it goes without saying, the Time Share (we loved the T-shirt that reads "I don't need no stinkin' time share.") people are everywhere including the airport, the hotels, the markets, the everything!

Granted, the food at the buffet restuarant wasn't the greatest but their restuarant menus are a lot better. The bed is firm but not hard like a rock. All beds in Mexico are like that. I had no problem sleeping. We also had a great view of the pool area and beach. The only complaint I have is that there were way too many kids. We tried to find the adults only pool, but it was non existant.

The children's pool was great for the kids and parents could eat at the snack bar next to it and still keep an eye on everything. We found the food excellent and were just as satisfied with the buffet as the sit down restuarants. If you have small children, the sit-down meals were definitely slower. The shows every night were fantastic. I just can't say enough good things about it. As for the mattresses, we were so tired each night that we didn't even notice.

Each bedroom had a full bath, as well as a shower bath off of the living room. Air conditioners in each room, as well as ceiling fans kept the room chilled and dry to perfection.
