| The location (on the beach), pools, bar, restaurant, deli were convenient and very nice. The rooms were just OK with the beds being old and not very comfortable. Everything else was very good.

| The hotel was better than I expected based on past reviews that i read. I could see that they are working on improving the condition of the hotel, the only issue I felt was the musty smell once you got up to your floor. This did not exist in the rooms, but I think over time with their constant improvement it will pass.

| We stayed 5 nights and room was nice and clean and good size. We spent some time on beach which was very nice. Yankee Clipper provided towels, chairs and cusions at no charge on beach. Nice location and easy to get around area. Would definitly stay again.

| The large pool with the see through windows is oddly located so that is does not receive much sun. It needs work and should be livened up by pool bar and landscaping like the small pool next to the beach, which is usually crowded due to it's great location but smaller. The bar by the beach is very small, although there is another service area which is not used. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. They did not have our reservation but it was an Expedia mistake and they resolved the issue. Great location to the marina if you want to take a boat tour which I did and the Bahia Cabana restaurant next door is great. I would stay here the next time I go back.

| If I had known this hotel consisted of three unattached buildings -most not on the beach, I would have chosen another hotel. Our room needed to be changed because of little flies(common sometimes with outer rooms)However, they put us through such inconvenience by moving us - once to a room that was occupied, that I felt the service was not acceptable. They did give us a very small credit for the problem. Lots of walking and the common areas were unattractive and badly positioned.

| The hotel itself and the services were excellent. Construction going on next door so it was alittle noise by the outdoor pool - no fault of the hotel. Extremely enjoyed the vacation - only drawback was with fee for self parking. Great place, great rates, highly recommend.

| First impression wasn't anything to brag about, but after a day I was happy with the hotel choice. The Concierge was wonderfull, took the hassle out of any decisions we had to make and arragned for a rental car at a very nice price with free shuttle. The decor is simple and while it appears to be out-dated, you just remember it's not a "5 star resort". For the price, we couldn't have asked for anything more.

| The room was nice and the nautical theme was very nice.I did experience a problem with something in the bedding, something did bite me through the night.I think this is a Florida thing...The staff changed all of the linens and the next 2 nights were ok, no more biting.Despite that problem I would stay here again!!Everything is close by, hotel is right on the beach, and the atmosphere was great!The staff was friendly and hospitable, had a blast!

| Great location. Its on the beach and provides beach lounge chairs and towels which was great. The staff was friendly and courteous. The restaurants in the hotel are good but a bit pricey. Couple of things that I did not like. Charging for parking. The carpets in our room was dirty and had stains. They should at least replace it.

| Despite 2 phone calls to the front desk, and 2 trips to the front desk over the length of the stay, a broken TV was never looked at, nor were ashtrays delivered. Upon checkout, was billed $35 for phone calls from room. When it was explained to desk clerk that the phone didn't work, despite repeated attempts to dial out, she replied that the charge was valid because the computer showed the attempts to dial out.

| Sheraton Yankee Clipper Beach Resort is a good hotel. The pools are a little small, but other than that the hotel is good. I was able to get extended check out for free. There is not much happening at the hotel's bar but there is a great bar less than a block away that you could eat by the water.

| I was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Room service food, and the lunches at the poolside bar were great. Looking forward to going back to Ft. Lauderdale, and wouldnt stay anywhere else.

| Hotel was in a great spot near the airport, very convenient. Inside of hotel was old, dark and dingy. The room we were first given was next to the main pool and had no sheer curtains so we were on view to other guests unless we closed the heavy curtains which let no light in. Had to go to the front desk twice to get room changed. The beds were comfortable but found a small bug in the bed on the second night. The carpets were filthy with stains. Too bad because all the outside amenities were great. The beach had great service with comfy lounge chairs and umbrellas. The pools had attendants and an outside bar and grille. Music at happy hour. The deli/market inside the hotel was pricey as well as the drinks at the bar. Must admit the staff was very nice and accomadating but overall not very satisfied.

| Under new ownership, the changes have been for the better. The beach services of chairs with terrry cloth covers over comfortable cushions was a real plus. Also, excellent beach services. On the down side, like many resorts in the area they are still rebuiling, referbishing, etc after last years devestating hurricanes.

| The Yankee Clipper seems to be one of the few hotels with actual beach access. We found the hotel to be very good quality (clean, good service) and really convenient to the main drag (A1A). Very Satisfied.

| You don't get what you paid for. Staff is not very nice, except the concierges. Bell boys were always joking and laughing at their own jokes and staring without any reserve the bodies of the girls staying at the hotel. As for the building itself it needs an urgent "face wash", it looks old and weary.

| The hotel is definitely in need of remodeling. However, the restaurant was remodeled and very nice. Lots of nice extra such as direct beach access, convenence store, karaoke bar, and full service restaurant. Cab to airport or Part Everglade was $20. No free shuttle service.

| Staff was wonderful and quick to respond to problems. However, the bedding needs to be updated. One of our beds felt like the springs were broken on one side so that you felt like you could roll off the bed. Repairs were being made post Katrina hurricane so it wasn't the best conditions, but it was good for a beach property.

| We enjoyed our stay here. Check in/out was simple with no problems. Valet was always on time and easy access, but $14 a day. For $10/day, you can park just right across the street where there was always plenty of parking. Hallways to rooms looked a bit old and dingy, but it's an older hotel. Inside the rooms everything was clean and up to par. I really like the location, because it was not far from Las Olas Blvd, and that's where there are some neat bars and restaurants to go to. The beach is just outside your hotel if you want some sun and ocean. The hotel bar is pretty cool with windows that look into the swimming pool. My only complaint was the rude waitress in the bar that took 20 minutes to even come up to us. (When we finally had the bartender send her over, we were greeted with "you're not the only ones that want to eat y'know" and she walked off. She then returned 10 minutes later to take our order). Other than that, good stay for the $$.

| we we're worried about doing all of our vacation thru the internet & what type of hotel stay we'd have doing it all thru expedia, but i wanted to let everyone know that our stay at the hotel was great! everything from the airline to the hotel & rental car went like clock work! we were very happy with the hotel. the hotel staff was nice, & the staff that parked our car was very nice & helpfull! right on the beach! nice beach area! 2 pools, but never even got in them. swam in the ocean instead!
