| Hotel is well located and in quiet location close to entertainment and shopping. A bit far from the Museum Plein but good trolley access is a block away. It is not a classy place but the rooms were clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The elevator is slow so I walked to the 4th floor most of the time. Also steps at entrance make it difficult for people with heavy (too heavy?) bags. If your trip involves meetings at the University of Amsterdam this is an excellent location.

| The hotel was very nice the bed was extremely COMFORTABLE. The room was a little smaller then what the pictures show but the bathroom was one of the best i have stayed at at a hotel. The room was clean but there was no clock so if you plan on staying i'd bring a clock. I enjoyed my stay very much and may stay there again, but i'd like another experience!

| My boyfriend and I stayed at the lovely hotel during the week of Christmas and New Years of 2005. It was one of the best hotels that we have stayed in. Atmosphere was quiet, staff knowledgable and responsive, and views from the charming room, overlooking the canal were great! Close to all attractions. Yes, I would love to stay at NH Doelen again, and actually are looking at other NH Hotels for the future stays!

| This was our first visit and we were looking for something centrally located & within walking distance of all the sites - this hotel was perfect for us. Also easy for cabs, when needed. We requested a balcony, which basically consisted of a huge window, opening to a wonderful view of the city & canal. Our room was small, but the bath was nice & had recently been updated. I would stay here again.
