The staff were incredibly helpful and polite, especially as it was just me and my 8 year old! I felt safe, comfortable and welcome at all times. The pool was lovely, and the complimentary soda and popcorn in-room was great! My child was welcome to have a soda during the complimentary happy hour, and neither he nor I felt out of place (there were many other families there). Only complaint: right outside our room window was ductwork--not much of a view--otherwise, a lovely stay.

At no extra charge: high-speed internet (we used wired connection); good hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, biscuits & gravy among the choices; and happy hours until 7pm with chips and salsa, snack mix, and beverage of choice (including some mixed drinks, lemonade and soft drinks). Bed was very comfortable, I slept well! Our only disappointment was the pool was so crowded that we ended up not swimming, but we did get some time in one of the hot tubs. The friendly staff allowed us to keep our car in the garage at no extra charge for several hours past normal checkout time, saving us the cost of another garage while we out walking around downtown and the visiting arch (right across the street!)

We didn't have allot of time to spend in Saint Louis and the hotel was in the perfect location to visit the Arch and local sights. The staff was very helpfull and the extras we we got for the money (hot breakfast and an evening cocktail)made us feel special. It has a beautiful lobby we enjoyed the atmosphere. We also enjoyed that the hotel was part of an historic building. It was the best part of our trip.

We were very impressed with this hotel. It was very clean and nice, and reasonably priced. The bed was so comfortable and we slept wonderfully. It was secure with attached parking garage, ATM in lobby. The breakfast buffet had a lot to offer and tasted great. Check in/out was easy and hassle free. Directly across from The Arch. If ever in St. Louis again, I'll stay there!!!!!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It is inside a remodeled old building wit ha lot of charm, and is right next to the courthouse and the Arch. The common areas and lobby are spotless and richly appointed. My room was nicer than some 4 star hotels I've stayed in. The staff is second to none, without exception they were both helpful and friendly. I would go back in a heartbeat. The only caveat is make sure you get dropped off at the correct Drury! There are 3 or 4 in St. Louis and 2 are downtown. I actually got dropped at the wrong one but again the staff was very helpful in pointing me in the right direction.

This hotel had wonderful updates that made it more modern than it looked on the outside. The breakfast was good for a non-restaurant hotel. The evening refreshments were nice but the snacks could have been better. Biggest drawback was the $15 per day parking. Walking distance to most downtown attractions.

What a wonderful hotel. I picked this hotel based on the traveller reviews and was not disappointed. The room and amenities were first class and the staff were friendly and went out of their way to help and make it a very enjoyable stay. Ideally located for both business and sightseeing. Just five-minute walk to Busch Stadium and the Arch. Internet access in the room along with two computers located next to the front desk was a real plus. The breakfast was a very nice addition and very nice.

You can not beat this place for the price. Close to everything in St. Louis (one block from the arch, Busch Stadium, walking distance to lots of restuarants). The hot breakfast in the morning and free happy hour with drinks and snacks in the evening are great. The little extras make it worthwhile (free popcorn and soda in your room). The rooms are okay, not the best ever, but clean and and all you need for a good night sleep. The staff was very friendly, we had a flat tire on our car and they took care of us and helped get it fixed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Breakfast and pool facilities make this a great place to stay with families. Our room was comfortable, with a microwave and small frig, and best of all, a view of the arch. Hotel has a good family friendly restaurant, Max and Ermas, that has good choices, a sundae bar, and fresh chocolate chip cookies. Staff are very friendly. Just a few minor slip-ups that the staff corrected quickly, but annoying all the same. You can't beat the price for the location - a short walk to either the Arch or the Stadium.

The reviews on this hotel said that the staff was friendly, which is definitely true. The staff makes you feel at home. My daughter took her laptop computor and took advantage of the internet hook-up. We had a problem on that we couldn't get their hook-up cable out of her computor. I just took it down to the front desk and they had someone from maintainance there within minutes who fixed the problem quickly. We also loved the location, the Arch on one side and Busch Stadium on the other. Drury's breakfast was very nice. Now I'll be looking for Drury's for future trips.

Location is terrific, a block from Busch stadium and close to downtown restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. Complimentary hot breakfast is tasty and filling. Small fridge in room, but vending machine on our floor was broken and machines on other floors were empty when we stayed. Rooms, though clean, are small, beds are mediocre, pool was overrun by kids and exercise facilities are minimal. Price is right, though, and we would probably stay here again.

Nice rooms, very recently remodeled, blah, blah, blah--the Drury Plaza hits all the normal marks. Now lets talk about what sets it apart: --free hi-speed internet in room --a couple of complimentary sodas in the fridge --a bag of microwave popcorn in the microwave --30 minutes of free long distance per day --free drink coupons In reality, none of these things are really hugely expensive, but they display an attitude of appreciation toward the guest that permeates the whole operation. In the future, I will always look to see if a Drury is available.

Overall the hotel was wonderful but for one problem. I had three marathoners with me and ask for a 1 hour later check out time due to one marathoner finishing close to 12:00 pm. I have done this at other hotels with no problem but the front desk was adamant that we could not keep the room so he could take a quick shower and dress. I am sure that not every room needed to be made up at noon and an exception could have been made. very disappointed.

This hotel is not only beautiful, but it is within walking distance to so many tourist sights. The Arch, Busch Stadium, the Old Cathedral Basilica. The lobby is gorgeous. The only complaint that I have is that we were not allowed to pay extra to keep our car in the hotel lot while we attended an afternoon baseball game that ended just about 4 hours after check out time. There were strict rules about having the car out by noon.
