This hotel has a great location and easy parking, but the interior is run down. The carpet is stained, walls are dirty, tile is chipped, furniture is worn, and exercise equipment is outdated.

This hotel is in need of a makeover. The three and a half star rating shown by Expedia for this hotel is overrated.

The hotel has a parking for $6 a day. Front desk not really friendly but ok. There were kids everywhere running and shouting wearing only flip flops and swimming suits (there is a pool). Room was comfortable, smelling clean but we found few hair around. No minibar, only a little coffee machine and vending machines on the floor. There is a restaurant with nice food (~$25ea). The hotel is ok for the price, we were not impressed.

The room was nice but the cups for the coffee pot were dirty. The hot tub and exercise room were great and the reason I stayed there. Restaurant was overpriced and room service was prompt and food came hot and beautifully served. It's a great location if you're going to the Prairie Convention center as it's right next door.

The hotel staff was outstanding. Food was excellent. Lobby was nicely remodeled. However, our first room had shredded curtains, dirty carpet and damaged walls. We asked for another room. The staff was accommodating. The second room was a slight improvement, but still looked very worn. It needed paint and new carpet. This hotel is in a great location near the new Lincoln museum and other historical spots. With some TLC to the rooms, this would be a nice place to stay.

My wife and I loved the location of the hotel and the easy in/out of the parking lot. We were able to walk to most of the sites we were interested in and the restaurants we wanted. The overall condition of the room was a bit lacking. Both beds had mattresses that sorely needed replacing, and our general impression was of slight shabbiness. I suppose we could have asked to check the room in advance, but our feeling is we would not have done much better. With this in mind, we probably will not stay there again.

What a classy hotel! This place had everything you would want in a hotel: nice rooms, indoor pool with whirlpool, sauna, exercise room, game room, great restaurant, excellent service and right in the heart of Springfield! I absolutely loved this hotel and intend to stay there everytime I go back to visit.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Renaissance, and were pleased. It is a beautiful hotel, very clean and I loved the lighting, soft and warm. My only concern was that we were put in a smoking room, so be sure and make your request for non-smoking before check-in. The staff were helpful and kind, and helped us with directions many times. It is a great location, close to everything, within walking distance. Nice pool and gym and great house keeping. Would stay here again!

While the location was great, there was a large group of women and girls holding a convention. It became impossible to get to your room or down to the lobby while they were using the elevators. I would check about large groups before I booked this hotel. Otherwise, it was worth the money and the location and ease of parking was no problem.

The hotel itself was nice, however since it is next to the convention center I would recommend asking if they're having a large group of kids the time you're planning to visit. There was a youth conference when we stayed, and the kids could get loud. The hotel did a nice job of trying to quiet the kids down by midnight, but the pool was always occupied with a lot of kids, making it uncomfortable for families with small children. It was nice overall in a good location.
