This hotel advertises as "ocean view". We were in bldg #1 and you could call it "barely ocean view". Had we not been on the 3rd floor we would not have seen any water at all. Nice sandy beach area and large pool.

The room was a little dirty (especially the whirlpool tub with the broken knob) and there wasn't enough water pressure to get the shower to stay on and the mattress was old an lumpy. The view was pretty good and all in all a good trip

we chose this hotel from this site only and are very happy with our choice. we found it beautiful, awesome views, location, super secluded -private beach was small but thats a good thing if you want relaxation and quietness. of all the hotels in the area, this one was the most secluded, has private entrance w/ security guard 24/7 and marina and boardwalks were awesome and beautiful. each suite is more of an apartment, large enough for comfort but cozy nonetheless. cant think of anything wrong w/hotel. we did visit other resorts/hotels in the area during our honeymoon, they were either super busy or run down and sloppy trailer park looking places. very satisfied.

Ocean Point was a great place to stay in the Key Largo area. The ground were well landscaped with flowers shrubs. The views were nice although a bit far from the ocean. The suite was much cheaper than just a hotel room when we made breakfast and packed a lunch from our kitchen. The bar and restuant were disapointing as the service was slow and the bar was almost empty but the place was very peacefull and quiet at night. The swimming pool was very large and well maintained.

We spent the weekend in this 3-star resort and found it very satisfatory. The room was clean and the complementary continetal breakfast was satisfactory. Pool and jacuzzi were clean and well maitained. The lighted tennis courts were free of debris, and their hard court surface maintained. Boat slips and ramps accomodated boats of small to medium sizes and the beach had plenty of lounge chairs for relaxation. I recommend this resort for all.

I stayed here for 6 nights, going back again next year.Suite was clean and comfortable with good ammenities, also had a beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony,(small but ample). If you had more than one person staying take your own shampoo, soap etc as it wouldn't last more than 2 days.Staff were courteous and helpful, however, your room is only cleaned after a stay of a week. If you are a family, you will run out of clean towels.Beach is clean and picturesque, great for kids but small and shallow. However, fantastic beaches not too far away (Bahia Honda). If you don't mind an establishment with dated decor then this is a great place to stay.

Check in time is way to late compare to other hotels I have stayed in, it is at 4pm and the hotel did not provide us with a room until 5:30. Service was awful, continental breakfast was awful, beach in the hotel was awful. Facility was not all that internet made it seem it would be.

It was a great place to stay. I loved the view. It was close to everything as far as shopping, restraunts, etc. The only complaint that we had was that the cafe on site was not always opened. We went there 3 times throughout the week and it was either closed or opening later. Other than that I would go back there in a heart beat!!!

The maintenance of the facility itself is very good; the grounds are well kept up and landscaping is beautiful. Public facilities are well maintained -- pool, tennis courts, beach area. Our unit was in horrible condition and very dirty. The furniture was in disrepair: one broken chair in the living room, one broken bed in a bedroom, a refrigerator that leaked water and tubs that would not drain. In addition, the floors and furniture were filthy. When we sat on the living room furniture in black pants, we had dust marks on them. I would not recommend this unit to any one else.

Hotel was nice. The 1st night our 2nd bedroom had twin beds bolted to the wall- No pushing them together. We switched the next morning and had a comfortable stay with a queen size. The "Ocean View" is a little inlet that looks like a lake. Breakfast was good. Would recommend.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and had the one bedroom suite. The suite looked and felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. So was the room service - it's weekly. All toiletries that were provided were "for first time use" and you'd have to buy everything pretty soon if you have a family. All the furniture was old and uncomfortable. The full kitchen with pots and pans could be useful if you like to cook. The very good thing about the hotel was that it was very quite. The beach in my opinion was a complete joke and if you are planning on laying on the beach, swimming in the water and enjoying the view, you would have to find another beach. There were a few nice beaches within a half hour drive. If you are planning to use the hotel to just sleep and then spend the whole day elsewhere, this hotel is a very good choice for the price.

Great views and reasonably priced for the area. "Beach" is exactly as shown; more of a wading lagoon with seaweed. If you want white sand, don't come to the Keys looking for it. Facilities were well kept & staff was very courteous. They even let us extend our check out time by a few hours since someone in our party was ill.

I recently stayed at Ocean Pointe Suites with my rather large family (7 of us). We all stayed comfortably in the room. Good value. Had a few complaints though. Called during the night and 4 more times in the morning to get extra towels. Finally brought some after 10am after everyone had showered using wet towels. The view from our room was just looking at shrubs, small balcony. The beach was nice but don't plan on going in the water. The ocean bottom was not cleared and you would need water shoes to try and go in. The restaurant on site is not recommended. They were shorthanded and would only make a couple things off the menu. Most of the suites are lived in by the owners so there are a lot of locals. Wasn't anything that I noticed to do within walking distance for entertainment. If you are staying here for several days as your vacation I feel sorry for you. If you are using it to stay in a night or two because you are just passing by then I would recommend this place.

THis hotel needs a major facelift. The best thing it has going for it is it's curteous staff. They were ever so kind. The hotel it self needs work and Key Largo is in need of some tourist attractions. Our adice would be to keep going south to Key West it is definitely worth the extra expense and the drive is beautiful.

On arrival check-in took 30 minutes even though I was third in the queue. The restaurant was closed and so we had to drive 10 minutes each way to get dinner. Finally at the very well equipped condo we had to drive back to reception to get sheets for one of the beds. The main bedroom and bathroom had not been cleaned since the last vistor ie body hair in the bed and on bathroom floor. The condo smelt like cats and we found a packet of cat litter in the lounge room. The "free breakfast" should be avoided.

Centrally located middle keys. Full kitchen and two bedroom suite set up very comfortable for two couples with children or a large group. Their wading and snorkeling beach was great. Price good. Our refrigerator door was rusty, a can of spray paint wouldn't hurt. Don't expect towel/or daily linen changes or daily cleaning.(not a hotel). overall good value for price.

Upon check-in, I did not receive the "ocean view" 2-bedroom suite for which I paid. Instead, I got a view of the mangrove trees that obscured my view of the ocean. When I returned to the front desk to complain, the staff was not at all helpful. I asked either for the view for which I paid or to be charged the lower price for the view which I got. The front desk staff insisted that no other suite was available with an ocean view, nor could they give me a partial refund. In short, the front desk staff was not at all helpful, insisting that I needed to go through Expedia to receive a partial refund for the obscured view. Even though I told the staff that Expedia was unlikely to take my word that I didn't get what I ordered and paid for, the front desk staff remained unhelpful, attempting to ignore me so that I might go away. It wasn't until I said that I wasn't going away that someone came out from the back office. Amazingly, I had the keys to an ocean-view suite within minutes. In short, the only way my complaint was addressed was for me to make a pest of myself at the front desk in view of other guests. This experience colored my one-night-only experience at this resort, and I would not recommend the resort to other travellers.
