| what luxury, all in all it was quite fantastic, very attentive staff, courteous and friendly. I went with my sister and niece and stayed 6 nights and had a great time thru out our vacation. If there was anything that I could change it would be that it was only in the 70's and not so humid, but overall it was just too nice, spoiled us, how can we top this?

| The hotel itself is beautiful. The service was outstanding, but the location can be a draw back. The hotel is located quite a distance from other restaurants and downtown. The hotel itself has limited dinning, and none of the traditional Mexician foods I expected. The two main restaurants served gourmet type foods, then there ia a "pool bar", which served fries, and some sandwiches, but not alot of variety. The meals we had were prepared well, not much food per order, and a little pricey. The atmosphere of the Hotel well makes up for what the restaurants lacked.

| We were very pleased with this exclusive resort. They have 3 restaurants. Outstanding service. We went with the club package which included an incredible buffet daily until noon as well as appetizers and drinks from 6-8pm. On site there is a gym, spa and steam room. Access to water skiing and jet skiing. Plan on taking in a few of the tours on your stay. If you do the city tour early in your stay it will give you a glimpse of what else you might like to see later in you stay. You will also see things there that you normally would not have access to if you just drove into town. If saftey, service fun and relaxation are important for you then you will love this beautiful Gated Community Resort. Oh unless you drive like a NYC cabby, Let them drive!

| El Camino provided just what we wanted when we landed: total seclusion and relaxation. We stayed here 4 days, then became more active and started traveling. My husband met a couple who return here from England every year, and we understand why. We'll probably do the same. Gorgeous setting, wonderful service.

| Nice big rooms with a balcony; personnel were gracious, friendly and helpful; beautiful views from lobby, room, dining areas, beach and pools; relaxed yet attentive atmosphere; no "spring breakers" while we were there; food and drinks excellent; water in hotel was completely purified; and we used a wonderful cab driver named Pepe! We did spend a good amount of money because we took a cab daily and went out for dinners often (because we love to do that), but it was well worth every penny!

| This is a very beautiful hotel isolated from the busy center of town. Very relaxing and clean and short ride away by taxi to the main strip. The only problem we had towards the end of our stay was the AC seemed not to be working properly (just a bunch of air coming out of it that wasn't cold enough).

| We loved the way the Camino Real separated itself from the main drag. While other travelers might say that they didn't like taking cabs everywhere, we enjoyed the seclusion and not worrying about being sold items while trying to relax. The staff was great and the food options were good. We also enjoyed the private beach and pools and the view.

| The hotel was beautiful and rooms are oversized. The view wonderful from both of our rooms. Food was OK. Staff unresponsive to problems...air went out several nights and even after telling the front desk, no one did anything. My husband turned it off for the day and it thawed out so we had some air that evening. It looks like they dump raw sewage in the small bay and was told by staff not to go in the water. I would not go back.

| Camino Real is a quiet and pleasant hotel miles from the busy city. The view is gorgeous. Just be prepared for a couple of things.... The food and drink bill will be high at the hotel and there isn't any way around that if you plan to spend any time there. The food and drinks are way overpriced compared to anything you can get in town and there are signs everwhere saying you can't bring food or drinks into the hotel. For example, you can get a six pack of (12 oz)Coronas at the local Wal-Mart cheaper than drinking one(8 oz) from the mini-bar in your room. A coke from that same mini-bar is over $3. And the margaritas there will cost you 7 dollars compared to just a few anywhere in Acapulco. Also, if you aren't going to rent a car(and the streets are crazy), prepare to spend a couple hundred dollars on taxis as it is an inconvenient commute to town up and down the mountains. Oh, and tell your friends and family you'll call them when you get back to the states, as usual in mexico, you can make a few phone calls and have a $400(US) phone bill. All that said, if you aren't on a budget, by all means indulge yourself with the views, the nice pools and the above average service.

| We stayed in Acapulco for 2 days and this hotel was great. We were there in October and felt like the only people in the hotel! I guess it was low season. Our room was huge and clean and very comfortable. The staff were fabulous, especially the concierge staff. This hotel is out of the way, so if you want to be right in the action, it may not be for you. But we loved the peace and quiet. We wouldn't have wanted to stay in Acapulco any longer than we did, as it wasn't really for us. We loved the cliff divers, but were not really into the nightclub scene. However, we loved just hanging out by the pool and beach at the hotel. It was very relaxing and the food was good at a reasonable price. I highly recommend.

| The hotel and staff were absolutely wonderful. I would definitely recommend this to others. However, I thought that the prices for food and drinks at their various restaurants and lounges were a bit steep, like $10 Gin and Tonic's (albeit they were strong.) Also, most of the bars closed early (like 11pm) though this wasn't such a big deal because of all the nightlife nearby.

| This hotel is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a quiet, beautiful, and peaceful vacation. It is away from the noise and grime of the city, and the service is excellent. The food is excellent in the restaurants although a little expensive. Drinks are quite expensive. The one drawback is that you need to pay 13$ each way for a taxi to leave the hotel. You can certainly walk up the very steep hill and get a bus for 30 cents - - - but you'll be very sweaty by the time you reach the top. Great for exercise, but not when you're dressed up.

| This hotel is very secluded on a small bay just outside of town. It's the first hotel of many on the way to town from the airport. The lobby is open air, the grounds are incredible, the rooms are great and the staff is very friendly. Almost anyone will enjoy this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing visit. What you will not find are packs of college kids partying. Definitely pay for the oceanview. It's worth it. First about getting around - don't rent a vehicle without a/c! There's some traffic in town and sitting in it with no a/c takes it right out of you. I'm used to going to Mexican desitinations where that really isn't an issue - not to mention I like getting a Jeep with the top down. This city is a little bigger. Get A/C! As for dining, La Vela at Camino Real and Kookaburra (went twice) are incredible. There are safe and adventurous options for everyone. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Kids will have fun in town and those that aren't out to punish their liver will enjoy everything else.

| My wife, 2 year old daughter, and myself nearly checked out 4 days early because we felt we had been misled. prior to arriving, I emailed the GM and Guest Services mgr. about any scheduled events, conventions, weddings, etc, and were told there were none booked. Come to find out, on Saturday evening they hosted a wedding which featured LOUD music and a fireworks celebration at 1am, which woke and scared my daughter extremely. I obviously was not pleased. I discussed my displeasure with Mgmt the next morning, and was impressed with how serious they took the issue, and was even more impressed with how the resolved it. Other than the Saturday incident, I must admit the Camino Real was perhaps the best vacation my family and i have ever taken. If you dread being on "Hotel row", or are seeking a very peaceful and professional environment, I totally recommend the Camino. We will re-visit this Hotel ourselves!

| The Camino Real is an absolute gem! Nestled at the foot of steep mountainside, you are absolutely overwhelmed by the natural beauty. No noisy roadways, no pesky throngs of people, no concerns whatsoever. The hotel is gorgeous and wonderfully kept. Comparing it to the other hotels, I have no idea why someone would stay anywhere else -- even for beach week, just take a cab to the clubs, but retreat to the Real for some actual relaxation and pampering.

| The building, the grounds and the views are simply the most beautiful package I've ever seen! Our Club Room was large, air conditioned, very clean, and had a balcony with a wonderful view of the bay. The included breakfast buffet alone was well worth the room upgrade; the gorgeous room was a bonus. Only drawback: the bed was a little hard for us. The 3 pools, the private beach and the entire area were beautifully kept, the service was always cheerful and helpful (a little slow at times, but it kind of forces you to take things easy and remember you're on vacation) and the food at all three restaurants was great. Most of the staff speaks English, they have an on-site doctor that speaks English, and gladly exchange money and traveler's checks. The water on premesis is purified and potable. The secluded location is great for getting away from the city and enjoying beautiful views, since Puerto Marques Bay is much less developed than Acapulco Bay. I'd defintely visit this hotel again and recommend it to anyone looking for a restful Acapulco vacation.
