| I enjoyed this hotel however I strongly reccommend that there be some major upgrades on this hotel as well as face lifts!!! With all that the tourism industry has to offer this hotel will not be able to keep up if it continues this way! Thank You. P.S. Travelers will pay for better service and comfort.

| I have friends there and the hotel does not allow friends to come in your room. It was almost borderline harrassment from the staff. If you want guests in your room-do not stay here. They tried to charge me for a guest just to come in for 5 minutes. Very dissappointed. Will be staying at another hotel in July!!!!!

| I got what I paid for. Room was ok. Service was so-so. They got a pool and jacuzzi and they are right across the street from Doctor Cave Beach. I was satisfied with what the hotel offers. 3/20-3/23/06

| Not impressed by the front desk staff. The room is not that fancy but clean. Service & food at the bar was excellent. There is a lot of room for improvement especially on hotel service.

| This is a hotel for people who want to just feel like home and relax on your porch. The room and hotel was clean. I had a view of Doctor's beach across the street. The food wasn't bad, the bartender was great and they do know your name when they see you throughout your stay. My husband and I stayed for three days. I would go back again.Everything is within walking distance as far as restaraunts and gift shopping

| We stayed two nights at Gloustershire before we went into Kingston. We were waited on very professionally at the front desk and also with our luggage. The courtyard by the pool is well kept and the foliage is beautiful. We found the hot-tub a little too hot, but the pool was wonderful! The room was comfortable and spacious. The bed sheets and towels were clean, however there was a less-than-fresh scent from the pillows. We had those replaced. Doctor's Cave is right across the street and the view of it from the balcony was nice. If you don't have a room with a view, you can always chill on the balcony. There are a few night spots up and down the strip. We spent our nights at Jimmy Buffet's. We felt very safe there, even when out late at night. We didn't have a chance to eat their famous breakfast, but we got a glimpse of it and it looked awesome! All in all the hotel is well kept, clean and very friendly. As soon as you get there, you feel like you are on vacation!

| Two friends & myself recently (4/29-5/3) stayed at this hotel and we were NOT IMPRESSED at all. The rooms look nothing at all like the pic on this website. The 85% of the staff were unfriendly, the rooms were just ok and had old furniture in them. The only good things I can say @ this place is when the AC broke we were moved to another room quikly. TIP: bring your own towels & washcloths b/c we had to BEG everyday for some & still didn't get the amount we asked for. Also be prepared to spend lots of $$ on transportation. Visit Negril, the beach is beautiful also Dunn's River Fall is fun. If at all possible stay @ an "all inclusive" hotel, we had some friends that did & their resort was nice and the cost was only @ $60 more than ours!!

| This was my 2nd time at this hotel and it was a pleasure to stay there once again. The hotel was clean, very close to the clubs and downtown shopping. The only problem my cousin and 2 friends had were towels for the room, they never supplied enough. We were smart enough to bring our own though. Also our air conditioning broke down and curtains got stuck and wouldn't shut but the staff were curtious and came in a timely manner to fix them. My cousin, 2 friends and myself will definately be staying here again!

| A relatively clean and comfortable hotel. The hotel has no elevators so you have to be in good physicial shape if you're assigned a room on the 2nd floor. Because of the way the hotel is laid out, the 2nd floor is up on a crescent (hill). Staff was cordial but not overly pleasant and any kind of requested service was very slow. One good thing: Doctor Cave's beach is directly across the street from the hotel --it is a gorgeous beach. Because the hotel is located on the main strip, you have access to many restaurants and bars. Because the hotel is near downtown Montego Bay, beware of the harrassment from the Jamaician citizens.

| I recently stayed at the Gloustershire Hotel and needless to say I was not impressed!! I was a little worried after reading the reviews, but we decided to stay anyways. I am so glad that we only stayed there one night!! The room (especially the bathroom) was very gross!! Our room was not ready when we checked in. The lady at the front desk was rude. The food was awful. I would NOT stay here again!! But then again I guess you get what you pay for. So if you are willing to save a little money but deal with nasty conditions then I guess this is the hotel for you!!

| Overall, my friend and I really enjoyed the Gloustershire. The biggest downfall was the shower. I don't know if it was in every room or just ours, but the water pressure was horrible. The hot water would be there and all of the sudden, there would be nothing coming from the shower. But we adjusted quickly!
