| Would not recommend. We arrived after 10 hours of driving and were told by the only attendant in the hotel that we could leave the car in front of the hotel. The next morning we had a parking ticket! In two days we saw 4 different attendants, who seemed to be on shift one at a time. The room was on the 3rd floor, no elevator, window air cond, no bathtub, hotter than hell. The "old charm" was not there...

| This inn is nicely decorated and very comfortable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The amenities were well worth the value. Wine and cheese "happy 2 hours" every evening, very nice continental buffet breakfast with more than the usual. Free water and gatorade all afternoon long. No elevator and slightly inconvenient parking were the only flaws.

| Pier Hotel was a great deal for the money. The bathroom was small and charming. I would go back again, a great place to rest and relax.

| I would stay here again in a New York minute! Conveniently located in downtown near interesting shops, restaurants and museums. The Pier Hotel provides a nice, continental breakfast and a complimentary cocktail reception each evening. I met some very interesting guests there. The place just wreaks of old charm with its "salon style" public areas and knowledgeable staff. We had a great time. If all you are interested in is a place to sleep, then stay somewhere else. A stay at The Pier is a vacation in itself!

| Although I was satisfied with the general condition, cleanliness and comfort of my room, there were three things that I was a little dissatisfied with. 1. My first room did not have a remote control for the television. This was a little inconvenient for me as I had to get up and turn off the tv and change channels by hand.2. I was looking for a recent telephone book and all they had was one for 2003-2004. I went to the front desk and they told me that that was the most recent they had. The second night I switched rooms and that room had a 2004-2005 phone book, therefore, I know they had a more recent phone book.3. I needed an ironing board and iron and all they provided was a compact ironing board. This was difficult to use for the purpose I needed it, therefore, I was a little disappointed in them not having a full size ironing board for my stay.Given these concerns, I was still satisfied with my stay, however, these three minor inconveniences affected my overall statisfaction and I would be slightly reluctant to recommend staying here to fellow business travelers.

| This hotel should be on the historical register of early Inns of St. Petersburg. It is quaint, homey and has much of the charm of the 20's with the added comforts of today. The breakfast buffet is tasty and the informal happy hour is a nice touch. The hotel is close to all the activities in downtown St. Petersburg and is just on the edge of the redevelopment district. A real bargin for the price.
