The hotel is located right next to the freeway so it was loud. It was inexpensive and definately no frills... just barely adequate

With a little routine maintenance/cleaning, this hotel has potential. Our bathroom light (flourescent) flickered for 5 minutes before finally lighting, the toilet flapper was leaking, and there was some minor mold in the bathroom. All of these are easy fixes and would go a long way in improving our opinion of the place. On the positive side, the front desk personnel were very friendly, courteous, and accommodating.

I waited more than 10 mins at the front desk on my check out day before leaving the room keys behind the counter. Another customer did the same. This happened even after calling out for assistance.

We stayed for one night, a Saturday, and other hotel guests where going to their room in the middle of the night as if they were the only people alive on Earth. I woke up and heard their conversation from when it started in the parking lot. The hotel is right next to the freeway and that made it hard to sleep as well.

Previous reviews for this hotel were really over-rated, which is why we chose this place. When we arrived, I really wasn't terribly impressed. The room were pretty small and the hotel wasn't well maintained. The accessibility for wheel chairs was limited. One of the evenings, there was a commontion and nearly a fight just outside the hotel lobby that left me wondering about the security of the hotel.

Not necessairly the place I would bring the family on a vacation. Good shower pressure, comfortable beds, lots of fat pillows and very clean. Not to mention, blazing wireless internet. The location is good for shopping and food.

Good location close to highway. For that reason ask for a room away from the highway. Reasonable, comfortable and nice helpful staff.

Clean room, quick service. About 32 miles from downtown San Diego, not a bad drive. They do not tell you that the hotel is located right off of the I78...not that noisy at night though.

Wonderful accomodations and close to everything you might need for your stay. Within miles of the Wild Animal Park as well as the Carlsbad Area, it made shopping, restaurants, and recreational activities within easy driving distance.

I just needed a simple hotel room for the night before visiting the university in the morning, and this hotel did the trick for a good price. Try to get a room on the non-freeway side since the freeway is a bit noisy. The *free* wi-fi throughout the hotel worked very well. I will stay here again!

hotel is inexpensive but still okay to stay at if you're on a very strict budget. it's kept okay for an older place, no funky smells or cigarette burns in the carpet.

I made this reservationon through expedia, I didn't know what to expect. It was located next to freeway 78. The room was clean and nice. The staff was very helpful especially Jon. The room felt kind of small becuase all the stuff, ironing board, safe, microwave, refridge, coffe pot and the big tv stand. If the room was bigger it would have been fine. If you're looking for a inexpensive hotel and has several resturants close by, then this is the place.

We paid for a hotel room for New Year's Eve close to the party that we attended. We checked in before we went to the party and due to the smell of the room, we decided to make the 50 minute drive home rather than stay the night there. It was a non smoking room that smelled of stale cigarettes and other mysterious odors. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!
