| Ive never written a review before, but after reading so many online about this resort that were at every end of the spectrum, I thought it would be fair to relay our experience. My girlfriend and I are in our late 20s and American and went from a Thurs-Mon to Paraiso end of January, having never been to the DR- we were budget travellers for this trip and booked it on a whim. We were more than pleasantly surprised by the accomodations (spacious rooms, cathedral ceilings), and the food was solid and adequate (not outstanding, but not terrible, and my girlfriend is a picky eater). We were pleased with the conditions of the resort, the immense friendliness of the workers, and except for one session where we accosted by timeshare sellers, our experience was excellent. We were surprised by the lack of Americans (if any besides us), the large amount of Germans, other Europeans, and the wide range of ages. There were people our age, families, and apparent retirees. We did not see large groups of young people as we expected. We did not do any of the 'extras' offered by the resort or local companies, did not venture off of the resort, paid for round trip transporation (WORTH the extra $20 / person), and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The only other minor annoyance was being approached regularly on the beach by 'entrepreneurs'. If you're on a budget, want a quick getaway, and want some great weather, beautiful beaches, hit this spot.

| I loved this place! The staff was friendly and great to be around. The people staying at the hotel were from all over the world. Things go a lot smoother when you speak Spanish. We saw everything we wanted to see in 5 days. It was a wonderful place with entertainment every night.
