| Hotel room was SO tiny! I am a small girl and I couldn't even put my hands on my hips in the shower without hitting a wall! I could also touch all four walls of the room without leaving the double bed! I would definitely check out other family owned bed & breakfasts before checking into a Best Western in Paris!

| Given our price range and what we had heard about the quality of many hotels in Paris, we were content with our selection. The pictures accurately describe what the hotel room was like. Our triple was a little on the small side but clean, and our bathroom was large. Everything was clean, towels were changed daily, and there was an elevator. It was also very conveniently located across the street from a metro stop and surrounded by many shops, cafes, and a great crepe stand down the street. The only thing we might complain about is the fact that the air conditioner didn't work. And bring a clock because there isn't one in the room. If we were to do it all over we'd stay there again.

| This was a very nice hotel for the money. Our room was small but there were 3 of us and we never got in each other's way. The only thing I disliked about the hotel was I made sure it had AC but I didn't remember some places only have it turned on for summer months. But the window let in enough cool air to sleep soundly and it was not at all noisy in our room. The bed was comfy and we had lots of towels so that's great. The location was the best. Metro is right across the street and they have a ton of stores and restaurants. There is even a Pizza Hut and Starbucks which we loved because we live in Sicily and hadn't had that stuff in forever! There is a Sephora store across the street too. It's very easy to get around once you figure out the metro too. I would stay here again for sure.

| We chose this hotel based on the price and the reviews in expedia--and it was just as described. Not a luxury hotel by any means, but totally adequate in every way. Comfortable for the three of us in a triple (my husband and I and my 18 year old son); two balconies; beautiful large bathroom; small with only 43 rooms/6 floors; quiet; clean; across the street from the metro; friendly reception staff; internet access. There is no restaurant but there is a breakfast buffet for $12euros/per person. It was cheaper and better to go to one of the many patisseries along the street. For $12 euros we could get 3 coffees; a baguette; and 3 croissants--plenty for the 3 of us. I would stay in this hotel again if I wanted the same--economy and comfort. The only lacking feature is the location--not in one of the more "desireable" locations like the Latin Quarter or the Eiffel Tower or the Museum Area. These hotels were MUCH more expensive with the extra enough to pay for our dinners each night--but when we go again for Christmas, we will put location at the top of our priority list; but hopefully find a hotel as satisfying as this one. I would recommend without hesitation.

| The Nouvel Orleans is a nice hotel located just a short subway ride from the major sights of Paris. There are many conveniences very close, like a couple supermarkets, bakeries, cafes, and laundromat. The rooms are a bit small, but comfy enough. The area is slightly out of the way, and that's a good thing, as it is fairly quiet at night. The subway station at Mouton-Duvernet right across the street makes getting around Paris easy. All in all a very nice place to stay.

| This hotel was exactly what we needed. Nothing overpriced and right across the street from a Metro station (the best way to get around). The only drawback for us was the "lift". It was just enough to fit 2 people at the most so getting the bags up to the room can be cumbersome. There are several great places to eat nearby. We suggest Buffalo Grill. The waiter there was great.

| Great location--seems to be a working class neighborhood in "transition". BUT room was extremely cramped with a 2 x 2 foot shower that would not let you bend over to pick up the soap!! No dresser and the wardrobe had 2 shelves. Area had an excelent "local flavor" and the metro was accross the street. Stay in the area but go somewhere else. Clean and good bed is the best I can say!!

| This is a wonderful little hotel for the price. Our room was clean, cheerful and extremely comfortable. It was not tiny at all by European hotel standards. Unlike others who reviewed this hotel, I found the bathroom to be rather spacious, with a great shower with plenty of hot water and great water pressure too!! It was fun to stay in a real "neighborhood," with great little cafes, boulangeries, creperies, and other shops. The metro station across the street from the hotel is a real plus, as is the proximity to Place Denfort-Rouchereau just a couple of blocks away -- a bustling, charming hub of activity, where you can catch the RER right to the airport. If I were really rich, I'd probably stay in a luxury hotel, but this place was absolutely perfect for us...very Parisian, and just lovely. I'd definitely stay there again.

| This hotel was very quiet and the rooms were nice sized for Europe. Convenient location across from the Denfort station on the metro. Near a small street market and near lots of cafe's and restaurants. Walking distance from the Catacombs. Only complaint is the bathtub/shower combination: no standing shower, hard to manuveur if you are tall.

| No frills, but clean. Only negative was there are a fair amount of homeless people in the area living on the street within a block of the hotel. This is unfortunately a common occurance in MANY parts of Paris. The hotel location is very close to a great Metro station (Denfert Rochereau) that will get you to many tourist areas (Effel Tower, Luxemborg Gardens, The Old Opera House, The Latin Quarter and Notre Dame, and the Louvre) within 20 minutes. Also, this metro stop is part of the B line of the RER, so you can have a straight shot to the Charles De Gaulle airport - no transfers needed. Also close to a very nice local market area.

| The room was much smaller than what was expected. And the bed was very uncomfortable. However, it was very clean. The staff was hard to work with. The nice thing was that it was right acrossed from the metro and that saved us a lot of money and time. Be careful though 'cause it shuts down around 1 and then it's sort of hard to find a cab. Another nice thing was there was a lot of shops and restraunts lining the street, it was easy to find things open.

| This hotel overall was a good choice as it's location right at the metro line 4 Mouton-Duvernet stop was so convenient for getting anywhere in the city in minutes. I had a triple room and it was a good size, much bigger than the double my parents had just down the hall. Very clean and the staff was very helpful. After we had already checked out we had the misfortune of missing the last train to Rome that night. We returned to Hotel Nouvel Orleans and of course it was completely booked. The man at the front desk went to work for us. He called at least 15 hotels in Paris that night all of which were booked because of the tennis French Open at that time. Finally found us a hotel just on the outskirts of Paris and got a cab to take us there. Saved the day he did, without him we'd have been lost. I would definitely stay there again.

| We only stayed in this hotel for one night, but it was heads and shoulders above the other hotel we stayed at while in Paris. The room was larger than the other, and it was extremely clean. The location was excellent (Latin Quarter) and there was a train stop across the street. Our room had a balcony in the bed area as well as off of he bathroom--btoh overlooking the main street. I rate this hotel an 8 on a scale of 1-10 campared to other Paris 3 star hotels. There was also an extra single bed in the room.

| This is a smaller hotel, six floors, with seven rooms on each floor. The common areas and the room were both well maintained, clean and attractive. All of the desk staff spoke english and were very, very helpful in planning our excursions. The hotel was also very easy to get to by train, (we came via Degaulle Airport). I called the hotel clerk from the airport and he told us to take train B and get off at Denfort Rocherault, which was about a block and a half from the hotel. We loved being in a neighborhood that was primarily locals rather than tourists, yet close to all the major attractions via the metro stop across the street from the hotel. Only negatives were the very small elevator, which others have mentioned. However, it also proved very intimate, and every elevator ride turned into an excuse for some quick kisses. Also, the showers are very small in width. The height is fine. But heavy people might have a hard time even fitting into the shower. I am 6'3" and 200 lbs and did not really have a problem. Although my wife thought I looked hilarious in the tight quarters of the shower. Anyone is is much wider may have a serious problem. There are many, cafes and brasseries within a block. Also two Metroprix department stores which also sold groceries. Everyone in the neighborhood was very friendly. We always felt safe. There were almost always many couples walking the streets, even late at night.
