The location of the hotel was excellent. Within walking distance to the Magnificent Mile, Navy Pier and Grant Park. The room was small, but clean and there was a great continental breakfast.

The price was reasonable and the hotel is well located downtown. The hotel seems to have been built recently, so everything is new and clean. The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful. So we would recommend it !

Great location, great service! My husband and I stayed in a king suite here with our two children, ages 8 and 10. I could not have been more pleased. Service was excellent and always professional. Room was perfect for the 4 of us (sofa bed for the kids or one of us) and location was ideal (near all shopping and close to Navy Pier.) Breakfast buffet was always good too (a plus with a family who likes their breakfast before heading out to the sights.)

For the amount charged I was disappointed in this hotel. The business center (one computer in the lobby with your back to the room) was down. One elevator was not working most of the time. Valet parking was very slow to retrieve my car. Overall - I can't recommend for travellers.

I have stayed here several times and the service never improves, from the lazy bellman who did not want to make an effort to get a cab to the front desk who after 6 requests could not accomodate a simple request for extra pillows!

Hotel has a wonderful location - only 1 1/2 blocks off Michigan Avenue and within walking distance of Navy Pier (about 6-7 blocks). Our hotel room was small but spent so little time there it really did not matter. Hotel was very clean, staff very helpful and friendly, and continental breakfast more than adequate. Would definitely recommend.

The location of this hotel is superb, right off Michigan Avenue near some great restaurants. The hotel is comfortable and staff is friendly. However, the hotel is not luxurious by any means and if you are the type of person that enjoys the ammenities of nice hotels, you will find this one lacking.

Good service and accommodations in a great location. We rented a "suite", which is actually a large room with one bedroom (one queen bed) and one pull-out couch. The room is divided by a wall that still leaves a four-foot-wide opening between the two sections. In the pull-out section is the couch, a side table, a coffee table, a small desk with a chair, and a 27" TV and 5-CD stereo. The bedroom has a closet, small dresser, and two nightstands. There's also a fridge and microwave (bonus) and one bathroom near the entry door and couch. The location is tremendous - a block and a half from Michican Avenue (shopping) and only a few blocks from Navy Pier. Cab rides to museums, blues clubs, Navy Pier, and Wrigley Field were under $10 each. Valet parking is $36/day, and self-parking (a block away) is $25/day.

We spent a few days around New Year's Eve here, and the location is great -- a few blocks from Navy Pier, even fewer from Michigan Ave shopping. Everything easily within walking distance, so this is a very nice location. Our room was nice and clean, with plenty of space and comfortable beds.

I booked this hotel last minute, for a weekend trip. About the staff, very helpful. We drove into Chicago and got lost, this was around 10:00pm, the girl at the front desk talked us through the directions, and was very pleasent. We had a smaller room, we were never there. very clean and up to date. Enough shampoo and soap, if that is a concern for you. Location is absolutely excellent. A block or so to Michigan ave, shopping is right there. Great Italian Restaurant called Bice, down the street. If you are going for the Christmas Parade, where they light up Michigan Ave., this is the best spot to stay.

I looked forward to going back to my room to sleep. The staff are very nice and polite and respond to your every need. I cant wait to go back and this hotel is the only one I will go back to.

We travel to Chicago every holiday season, and always stay in the loop or near N. Michigan Avenue. We will difinitely return to the Fairfield Inn on Ontario Street. It's location is perfect for shopping and dining, and the hotel is very nice. Our room was somewhat small, but that is the only minor complaint. The daily breakfast provided is excellent, there's nearby parking (or a valet service if you prefer. All in all, the Fairfield is a winner!

Compared this hotel with others near the mile and found this to be best-priced value. Had adjoining rooms for large family outing. Clean, comfortable and courteous people to boot. Very nice bellman, nice desk agents and breakfast room attendants kept up with hurried shoppers. All family members from 12 to 71 years in age agreed it was a nice place to stay. Will return in the future.
