| An older hotel but good size rooms, nice bathroom and very friendly staff that speak English. 2 minute walk to train station. Breakfast was quite good and a free minibar too.

| Very convemniently located to main train station and subways. Within a few of blocks of the old section of Munich with its historic attractions. It has one of the best Christmas Markets that we saw on our trip through Germany and Austria. Hotel isn't fancy, but very clean and in excellent condition. Good breafkfast included.

| I was very pleased with the National Hotel. It is located very close to the Frankfurt central train station, making it perfect if you like to take the train out of town for day trips. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, and they had practically every type of food imaginable. The staff was very friendly, and were able to accomodate a very early arrival. The rooms were typical for a European hotel...rather spartan and none of the bells and whistles you'll find in the US. But it isn't something to worry too much about since the price was so great. The rooms were very clean. If you like to use a bar of soap, be sure and bring one along since this hotel only provides shower gel. This is definitely a place that I will return to next time I am in Frankfurt.

| I selected this hotel after reading reviews at another site and finding a good nightly rate. The hotel is located across the street from the train station in a sort of run down part of Frankfurt. The hotel is an older building with dated decor and facilities. The room is tiny (but about on par with other European hotels) but was clean. A free mini bar in the room included a juice, coke, water, and beer. Good breakfast with a wide variety of items to please almost anyone. Not a terrible place to stay if you just need a bed and a shower but the dark and dreary decor makes this hotel seem like a dungeon rather than an oasis.

| The National is a modest, old-fashioned hotel with a very friendly and helpful reception staff. It's quite comfortable but not ostentatious. Excellent value considering its location in the heart of the city. Easy walking to many attractions; parking is limited.

| The hotel location in convenient since it is just across the street from the Hauptbahnhof, but I stayed in the hotel early in the year so the windows were closed. This room would be noisy, however, in warmer weather with the windows open. The rooms were fairly good size and the hotel staff very efficient and polite.
