| The property is nothing fancy, just a decent room, but the location and Merced River just out your back door are huge plusses. With the rock landslide earlier this year, this is one of just a few places you can stay at Yosemite without staying in the park-operated lodging. Otherwise you have to drive 50 or so miles for a place to stay. A little pricey for what you got, but you're paying for the location.

| Extremely close to the park (Yosemite Village). Greate view for the river view rooms. If coming to Yosemite with your beloved one, take the "King Bed with tub", is really really nice!!! Try check in earlier and have fun in it. By the way, the hotel and the rooms look a lot better than the picture you found on the internet!!

| We loved our room with a balcony patio over the Merced River. We were mesmerized! It was clean, comfortable and well-priced. But when we closed the sliding glass door, all was quiet. We ate at the restaurant and had a good, not exceptional, meal. Overall a really great place to stay that's right outside Yosemite.

| This is definitely a case of "location, location, location" as this hotel is right outside one of the entrances to Yosemite. Plus it is right beside the Merced River which is pretty cool. The rooms are fine, a little on the dark side. You might want to bring brighter light bulbs, that might help. Overall, this is a really good place to stay (if you can't get lodging actually IN Yosemite) because of its proximity to the park.

| The hotel was very nice with excellent river views. The room had a very good king bed, jaccuzi, double shower, and kitchenette. The patio was right on the river, and the water was really gushing. The room was very quiet, as we were never bothered by sound from other rooms/occupants. The restuarant was good for dinner, but the breakfast buffet was disappointing. The pizza shop was also good.

| Our room was a third floor efficiency overlooking the Merced river. It provided a great jumping off place for access to Yosemite and we prepared all our meals in our room thus saving money. We also enjoyed dining on the balcony with the river rushing by. For those not interested in staying in the National Park and appreciate having the benefits of a swimming pool and hottub, I would definately recommend this place.

| Wow, loved our river view room wish I could have stayed out on that balcony a little longer I had no trouble sleeping but we kept the balcony door closed. Pizza place was okay and we only had breakfast at their restaurant and that was average.Because Hwy 140 is closed I did notice that they ran out of things like bottled water in the store so you may want to bring your own and watch out your room refrigerator will suprise you when we got there I set the temp up to 8 and forgot about it and a day later found my bottled tea had cracked because it got too cold.

| We stayed in a riverview room and the river was awesome! Yes, the rapids were loud but if you kept the patio door closed you could barely hear it. Service was great, when we called for decaf coffee and for an iron and ironing board, they quickly responded. The kitchenette was adequate, we ate breakfast (eggs and toast) and lunch (hot dogs) on the patio by the river. The only negative aspects of the room was 1.) the air conditioner was up on the wall and the air blew down on the bed, and 2.) the tub was hard to get in and out because it was so big! But, overall, the room was very comfortable and clean. Would definetely stay there again.

The girl at the counter didn't seem to understand why I wanted a different room. Service at the main restaurant at the hotel was average at best, but the food was good. Once we got into the second room, we did very much enjoy the hotel.

| Had a room with a balcony overlooking the Merced river. If I stood on my railing, I could have taken a dive. Awesome. I was there when we had major rains and snow melt in mid May and the rushing water was amazing. I am a light sleeper, but it was "white noise" and I slept great. Comfortable room and just outside the gates of Yosemite, so very convenient. Ate at the restaurant and it was very good food, wine and great service. Nice warm feel in the restaurant.

| Excellent location on the river. Many rooms are available directly facing the river and a wooded hillside, with private balconies, making this an excellent location for a romantic Yosemite getaway. Ask for a second or 3rd floor room directly on the river - mine was on the 1st floor and the patios are not completely private and some are directly in front of the spa area. If you like the sound of rushing water, this is your place. The river is gushing right outside your window 24/7 ! They have a very nice restaurant available for breakfast and dinner. YARTS bus service into Yosemite if you don't want to drive or deal with the traffic jams in summertime. I was there in March (technically "winter" season) and the room heat (especially bathroom) could have been better, but if you're here in the summer, no problem. Large jacuzzi tub in the bathroom with dual showerheads. Gas pushbutton fireplace in the bedroom. Fully equipped kitchenette (electric stovetop, microwave, fridge, pots & pans). Onsite general store/gift shop for basic toiletries, food supplies and liquor. This hotel is located right outside the Yosemite gate, and has the shortest drive into the valley of all the properties located outside the park. It's also an excellent location for a winter visit as Route 140 did not have snow/chains required as the other two park entrances (Rte 120 and 41) did at the time.

It has big king bed, a jacuzzi tub, gas fire place, and a complete kitchen. They have reasonable rates in the winter. Wanderful place. Restaurant is a bit on the expensive side, but has excellent service and the food isn't bad. The breakfast buffet is a must and a deal.

| Our room was right beside the Merced River. You could sit out on the small patio and listen to the river. The room was well appointed and very clean. Both the resturant and gift shop are nice and a desk for activities within the park is located here. There is one problem at this hotel,(I've stayed here before) that is no window coverings on the bathroom window which is lightly frosted and located right at head level on the main walkway. I always shower in the dark here.
